We purchased an inventory home and there are a few items that I would have certainly addressed if I had a home built instead. For example, the walls around the media room are not insulated so we are unable to enjoy sound isolation when watching a movie. The landscaping (plants / shrubbery) was installed too close to the driveway so that you have to step into the landscaping to exit your vehicle. The plumbing through the walls is not insulated for sound in anyway so anytime we use water, you can hear it clearly through the walls. The home is beautiful and our experience with our builder, Jack was top notch. He responded to all of our questions and concerns and kept us up to date at all times. Great experience!

The entire experience was amazing. Beau helped us pick our home and Allie guided us through the financing process. The highland team was very responsive and helpful through the whole process. Blake, the construction manager has been amazing as well helping us through our moving process and any questions we’ve had since moving in.

Overall, my home buying experience was exciting and rewarding. As a first-time home buyer, Traci and Todd made my experience a breeze. The team was responsive throughout the build and closing process, and I appreciated having updates along the way. The home itself turned out beautiful, and I’m so happy with the layout and features of my new beautiful home.

We've had an excellent experience with Highland Homes from start to finish. The service has been exceptional even after closing, which really sets them apart. Tina was fantastic throughout the purchase process-knowledgeable, responsive and great to work with. Juan has also been terrific handling any post-closing items quickly and professionally. This is not our first new home experience but it has definitely been the best.

Buying process was very streamlined and organized. As first time home buyer I don't know what I don't know so having someone from Highland walk us through the home was great. Juan made the process easy and made sure all of our questions were answered. Him and Tina are both great and easy to work with!

This is our 3rd home buying experience and from the first day we walked into Highland Homes our experience was everything we could have asked for and more. From Adiba the sales rep to Jim the construction manager I could feel how much they cared about my home buying experience. They were responsive to my questions.

We’ve had a fantastic time with highland since buying a spec home in late 2025. We feel like we got a great deal for where the market was and the team was very easy to work with. Lots of times with new builds and specs in general you walk in and feel like you have to be your own inspector. It’s hard for people to trust specs as they can’t watch the entire process. The items we found during our walkthroughs were all small cosmetic and even our third party inspector only found a small issue that was fixed quickly. We’ve watched hundreds of new builds between the two homes we’ve had in this area over the last decade and have been impressed with highlands contractors. They actually ensure the work is done to spec the first time and not waiting for an owner to find an issue. They also keep their job sites really clean which matters when dozens of homes are going up. Post move in any issue or question we had, Lane and team answered quickly and to our satisfaction. To date (6-9 months in) we’ve only had one small trim issue which I think speaks to the quality. We’ve also enjoyed seeing the team around the neighborhood almost daily and always like checking in their new builds and how things are going. They truly care for their owners post close which is also a rarity. Overall we’ve been very happy and while we didn’t get to go through the entire selection and build process with them would recommend their homes and the team here in Parten. ... More

The process was great! Everyone was very attentive and answered all our questions promptly. Any issues I've had so far have been addressed quickly. There were a couple of cosmetic issues that we noticed within 30 days of moving in, but all were fixed. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Such a great experience all around… from the sales team to the project manager. We are extremely happy.

The driveway concrete is damaged and in bad shape. It was built during construction and is pretty much in bad shape due to construction activities. Inconsistent surface finish, stains, chipped surfaces, and damaged curb. I raised the issue with the PM but he won’t help to resolve this problem.

Thus far, myself & my wife do like & enjoy our new Highland Home. Furthermore, though with the issues we have had since our March 6th move in … has been problematic at times. The Builder management team has been very responsive & professional in helping getting the maintenance issues resolved & inspected when I have communicated house defects to them. I wish as also my wife does, that interior painting was not done cheaply with the paint that came with. And instead had a gloss to paint and a different color tone instead of the powder base white it has. But overall we love the house.

I recently built and closed a home with Highland Homes. Overall, the home turned out well, and I’m happy with the end result, but the process required active involvement to get everything to the right standard. What went well Home quality: The overall structure and layout are strong. The final look is clean and modern with the right selections. Design options: The design center offers a solid range of choices to create a cohesive finish. Timeline: Construction and closing stayed mostly on track. Responsiveness and service: This is where they did very well. The team responded quickly to issues and worked to resolve them without much pushback. Even larger items were addressed, which I appreciated. Areas for improvement Finish quality and workmanship: Painting quality was below expectation and required multiple touch-ups after move-in Sheetrock had visible imperfections that needed correction Some finishing details lacked consistency Post-close issues: Backyard grading and drainage concerns Sprinkler zones not functioning properly Uneven sod and soft spots in parts of the yard Subcontractor consistency: Trades like painting, drywall, and landscaping did not always match the quality of the main build Design center guidance: While options are good, the guidance during selection could be stronger I had to rely heavily on my own research to make the right long-term decisions Warranty expectations: Some items are only addressed if they meet specific thresholds, which may not always align with homeowner expectations Advice for future buyers Stay involved throughout the build Pay close attention to paint, drywall, and finishing before closing Check irrigation and grading carefully Do your own research during design selections Raise issues early and clearly Overall Highland Homes delivers a strong end product, and their team stands behind their work when issues are raised. The overall construction process started off well, and communication during the build phase was appreciated. Weekly updates and photos helped us stay connected since we were not local. Unfortunately, the final stages of the process were disappointing. Before closing, we hired a third-party inspector who identified several items that needed attention. During the final walkthrough, we expected those items to be reviewed carefully with us, but the walkthrough felt rushed and lasted only a short time. Many of the inspection items were not properly reviewed or explained in detail during the visit. After moving forward, we also noticed concerns with the finishing quality in several areas of the home, including electrical fixtures, lighting placement, and cosmetic finishing details that did not meet the expectations we had for a home at this price point. Some items were later described as upgrades, but as buyers we feel more clarity should have been provided upfront regarding standard finishes and options. To their credit, the team did respond after concerns were raised and communication remained professional throughout the process. However, we believe the final quality-control process and homeowner walkthrough experience need significant improvement to better match the expectations of future homeowners. ... More

Our entire process from start to finish was more than We expected Highland Homes was with Us every step of the way I didn’t think it would be possible when they set the closing date but they did everything to make it possible and just like that it happened and We’re very pleased with our New Home We shop several new homes and out of all the homes We saw Highland Homes was the best We highly recommended Highland Homes to anyone looking to buy a New Home
