Very Satisfied Home Buyer

We bought our Highland home at a crazy time and knew we overpaid for our home. After move in, we began to notice “the little things” that we had not seen with other builders in our modest price range. When we began to receive utility bills we took note of the efficiency of our systems. I could go on and on but our experience with Rayshell our sales person and Jordan our coordinator made this an easy transition in not so easy time. We were told our home would be ready in September and we moved in July 18. Thanks to all who made our downsizing and transition enjoyable.

I moved in couple of months back and till now I am experiencing issues . My home is still in 50 percent construction zone . I have to fight for things to be fixed . Bad drive way , patio concrete all messed up , lot of finishing issues , had a terrible experience. I wish I got my money back ,

The house and detailing was as shown and committed. Quality of materials is good but could that little better for the prices paid. Overall a good experience in home buying

We were very lucky to have one of the very best sales counselor, kudos to Kim. The building experience was somewhat disappointing mainly for two reasons: 1. we feel the builder had some sense of urgency to close 2. which promoted a lack of supervision in the quality of the finishes. Nevertheless, their response to warranty claims (many of which could easily be avoided with good supervision before closing), has been outstanding.

Me and fiance decided to go with Highland homes for our first home. It turned out to best the best decision for us and our experience was fantastic. Working with an amazing builder was a huge part of what made our experience wonderful. Our builder was very responsive and helpful with any requests or question we had throughout our building process. Could not had asked for a better builder to work with. Will always be extremely grateful for what our did for us and making our first home as special as possible!

Home buying experience was fine, very easy other than the wait time which was out of their control. The quality of workmanship could be better. Builder tried to make it better and in many ways did get things fixed. A few other cosmetic issues were not fixed and it feels like you’re forced to deal with them or fix them yourself after dealing with multiple do overs.

I want to start off by saying that everyone we have worked with at Highland has been phenomenal -- Juan (builder), Kathi and team (front office), both Brians (one helping with issue resolution and one a customer service rep). This is the first home we've built, and the entire time was helpful, informative, responsive, and very kind. We couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with. We are concerned about the quality of our home and hope we made a good decision investing in a Highland Home. When you purchase a Highland Home, you know you will pay more for quality. We have heard ...

We are happy to be in our new home. Sales process was great. However, post-close, things are less than desirable. More than two months after closing, original punch list is still not complete. There is little to no communication and no sense of urgency. Hate to complain on social media, but hoping this will get someone’s attention that can take care of the punch list.

Highland Homes builds beautiful homes. Workmanship issues with various crews and insufficient quality control resulted in many issues. However, Highland Homes does attempt to resolve the issues. The process is slow but steady.

This does not apply to all Highland Homes in general, just my particular community. Responsiveness to issues is non-existent, no follow-up, doesn't follow through on agreed upon affidavit items and home still has multiple items pending to be resolved even after closing. Although there is a 1-year warranty, it may be useless as they will not respond to resolve.

Not satisfied with the building process. Was always kept in the dark even with repeated requests. Identified issues before closing and was promised will be done in the next few weeks. It's has been almost 4 months, still long way to go.

During a time when many builders held bidding wars on property lots and included escalation clauses in the contract to pass increased costs of building materials to the buyer, Highland did not. Instead, there was a first-come-first-serve waitlist and clear pricing for every option I selected. Throughout the homebuilding process, Highland was responsive to questions and communicative with updates. There were still a few unfinished items when I closed, but Highland resolved them within ~1 month after closing. Also, I could have postponed closing had I chosen to do so. I did not feel any ...

My highland home that I thought would be my dream home, not so much. The home as so many issues and still currently trying to get fixed almost 2 months later. Half million dollar home should of went for a lesser home and got better quality. Very disappointed

The house is just perfect for me. Due to the delays I had to wait 3-3/2 months in a hotel room nearby. There were a few mistakes made that the builder took care of. I'm hoping Darren will come by to see what we have done.

Due to delay in construction many of the interior trim materials are water damaged and will need to be replaced. Cabinet work is very poor in quality and workmanship in installation is bad. Numerous issues with doors, and paint and texture on walls. Construction team ran a vehicle into the brick on the side of the garage and the frame is still split. and brickwork is wonky. Door handle on the half bath was reversed. Wrong bathroom fixtures were installed and replacement was so dangerous that we purchased and installed our own due to possible injury to children. This is our second Highland ...
