We had a great sales experience, the sales team has been excellent with responding to queries, addressing our concerns etc. Special call out to Lula who has been excellent to work with. Mixed experience with the construction team. Since we were remote, we didn't had the opportunity to continuously monitor the home. We weren't getting regular (weekly) updates on home construction as promised. During final inspection, we found several issues which were addressed promptly, except a few which were missed and we found them out after moving into the home. We were asked to raise home warranty case, which we did along with a bunch of other issues we found after living in the house. Warranty team has been responsive, but the speed of resolution is not up to mark. It has been more than a month since we moved in, still dealing with unfixed issues with the builder. ... More

Sales and office employees were very "customer service" oriented, which was a nice change from what I've experienced in the past with a particular homebuilder. The construction manager is awesome and goes out of his way to accommodate and fix any issues.

We purchased a new Highland home in Denison which closed in November of this year. Since house was already under construction, and had fallen through twice, we were unable to make any substantial changes. On the plus side, we did not have to pay any closing costs due to the generous offers from the builder and lender. We were in the right place at the right time when the house became available, and we got the lot we wanted. It is an attractive house with a good layout, and the kitchen layout of out model has a good amount of storage. There really is not a lot to be critical of. I would say the Highland Homes has positioned themselves as a more upscale option in the housing market. With that in mind, it would be nice to see more attention to the small details. Some of the work was not up to what they were marketing themselves as. One design complaint would be that the master suite behind the family room and kitchen area has no sound insulation. Anything going on in that area, or the TV mounted on the common wall will prevent anyone from sleeping in the bedroom. Overall, it is a very nice house. Reggie ... More

This is my second Highland Home purchase. I will say that Cris and Spencer are both great to work with. They provide great customer service and are proud to work for Highland …. And it shows!!

The customer service and responsiveness is great. All questions and issues are quickly addressed.

Highland homes are well built with good floor plans. We are in a new portion of the development and there are 3 developers who build here. We are living in a garbage dump!! The builders make no effort to clean up and theirs trash is everywhere. We are constantly picking up trash out of our yard, some is construction debris and even paper plates and cups from the workers lunches!

We decided to build with Highland because of the option to customize. Denise our sales rep was informative and thorough. Jim was our builder and he was truly a class act. I was so pleased with his responsiveness and his delivery of a great product. I love my home. We really built our forever home with Highland.

Despite the aggressive housing market that was summer of 2022, Highland Homes set themselves apart from other builders-the buying experience was as seamless as possible. From the sales team, to building team to financing; all were extremely responsive to questions and concerns and willing to make our home a reality. Supply chain issues might have caused delays, but quite honestly the building managers and supervisors pressed their crews to finish with limited delays. We can't say enough positive things about our experience. With some minor minor issues after closing, all have been scheduled and soon to be completed. I purchased an inventory home. The purchasing experience was great, smooth sailing and closed on time. The sales representative and finance team were very responsive and courteous. The minor problems were readily addressed by the Quality Management team.

Through and through a great experience with Highland homes. The sales staff to construction manager to escrow agent and loan officer were all top notch. Thank you to Erin (sales), Jeremy, Preston (construction), and Matt (loan) for facilitating the process and making the move seamless.

Overall great experience for us

Owning my own house has always been my greatest dream and it finally came true two months ago when I moved into my new Highland house. The quality is great for the budget I invested in. And my contact Mr.Clayton Coffee has been very professional and responsive when I did encountered a few issues. Great house and I am very glad I made the right choice on Highland Homes.

We love our new Highland Home! We loved to high quality and beautiful layout, its perfect! Our Realtor, Kelli was/is amazing and has supported our home buying and move in from start to finish...she is a gem! We had a few one off's that were corrected immediately, however there were a few challenges with the large picture windows that needed them to be completely reframed and replaced. We are awaiting that to be scheduled, now that we know the issue. The construction manager is very friendly, however limited on his availability to assist timely or be present to ensure the communication with the contractor(s) on the issue is resolved with minimal impact to our time. Building a home with Highland Homes has been a great experience for us. Despite all the supply chain issues, our project stayed on track and our builder, Chris, was very responsive to our questions and to any issues which arose. We love our new home, and we’re pleased with the options and upgrades we chose. We have a few minor issues, but having built a home before, we know those are to be expected and we have every confidence they will be addressed by Chris and his great team of sub contractors.

On my first visit to the sales office, Hunter was able to knowledgeably answer all my questions- a crucial factor in my decision process. He remained responsive throughout the process offering design ideas that truly enhanced the home. I feel incredibly fortunate to have worked with Joseph as the CM from start to finish. The true test in any project of this magnitude is to observe how someone handles the inevitable challenges. Joseph was always the calm in the eye of the storm exhibiting professionalism and respect throughout. He was keenly aware that this particular build represented more than just a house. He instinctively said and followed through on the right things at the right time. In fact, I felt he treated this build as if it were his own. We've had several things thast aren't pleasing but our PM has been right on top of them. Getting subs here to correct has and is an issue. Your cleaning crew, in my opinion, does not do a great job. We've been battling a floor issue here since the walk thru and still waiting. Getting closer but still not complete. Very frustrating at best. Your electrical company too can be frustrating. Takes them too long to respond if they respond at all. WHen one pays for this level of home, there are certain expectations. You all need to hone in on your subs and contractors doing it right the very first time. Am I disappointed in some areas? Absolutely!! I can say that our PM is the best we've ever had and continues to be. Wish you had 100 more like him ... More
