Build was fast and easy. Quality of material lacks and would have really liked a final clean to have the House ready to move in.

Best part of the whole experience has been how quick and responsive Austin has been. If there’s been any little stuff that needs fixing, he’s been there either same day or next day.

My experience with Highland to purchase my first home has been exceptional. Debby was great and answered all my questions before I was ready to jump in and was responsive all throughout the process. Jeff was great to work with and was always available when I had questions. He and Blake were very thorough in the walk through, which was appreciated since I have never dealt with most of this before. Jeff has also been great these first few months after I moved in and has quickly fixed any issues that have popped up (all minor). From initial contact to post-closing issue resolution, Highland has been great to work with. Would definitely recommend them. One suggestion: for the study/office, having a pre-wired (or more) Cat5 drop would be ideal. For those that work from home, hard-wiring the computer to internet connections is infinitely better.

By purchasing the model home. We did find some odds and ends that was damage which we understood because the house was a model home. But the garage was new and broke in a couple weeks. I can say Highland did not Wasted no time making sure the contractor took care of it ASAP. Other then that we love our home.

We were very happy with our homebuilding experience. In an era of shortages and delays, everything was on time and on budget. Our contact at Highland Homes was very knowledgeable and they were willing to work with us on some floorplan customizations that really made the home ours. We are enjoying getting settled!

We had a great experience with Highland Homes. We had a tight moving window, and our house was finished and ready to move in right when we needed it to be. Thanks to all the Highland Team for making it happen!

Overall, we are pleased with our new home. My wife and I do wish the cabinets were better taken care of and the house during the moving in process should have been cleaner. However, we can overlook these things thanks to Roy! He’s been very easy to work with, communicates well, goes above and beyond for us even post closing! He is professional and is always willing to help us with any questions.

Highland Homes took really care about my home and go to extra mile to make us satisfied with new home. For instance, they provided epoxy coating for my garage even cracks were naturally built. It was great experience.

The sales staff are really wonderful and helpful, especially Layne. I was under contract for well over a year before my home was completed. He was very responsive to any questions or concerns. My construction manager, Aaron is also great. He kept me updated on every stage of construction. My only complaint has been the overall sloppiness of many of the subcontractors. There were paint splatters/drips everywhere on every surface, construction debris left in the yard, landscapers installing grass and flower beds over debris and rocks, scratches on several windows, etc. Aaron is continuing to have the subs come and most of these issues are slowly getting corrected. Bought a spec in the drywall stage. ’ll admit, everything wasn’t done perfectly. There were several things that were issues and we felt like we weren’t getting a return on our investment for the quality of work being performed. I’ll also admit, that Highland Homes did everything in their power to fix every issue we have had. And some of these things were big things. They didn’t hesitate to make it right, and continue to strive to make it right until we are satisfied. We bought with highland because of the customer service reputation, and they have met and exceeded my expectations on that front in every aspect. Enjoyed the experience with the sales rep.

I went into contract on this home while living in another state, sight unseen. The sales partner, Edna, was phenomenal. Incredibly responsive and accommodating. As was the construction manager, Lonnie. I did my walk-thrus via FaceTime, but felt completely at ease because he was extremely informative/descriptive to help me 'feel' the space. When finally arriving at the house and doing the physical, in person, walk-thru, the experience was the same. There were a couple of very minor things that needed to be addressed and they were done promptly and without issue. In the crazy housing market we are in, in Texas, this transaction went like a dream. No construction delays. No hidden costs/price increases. Great value for the price. Materials were great, but combination of colors was not. Designers are recommended to combine colors better.

From beginning to end we were told honest answers to our questions. There are a few different builders in our neighborhood and we have seen many homes go untouched for weeks and months, but Kel set the expectations every week and followed through!

Overall, I'd give the experience 4 stars out of 5. Highland makes nice homes with good layouts that make you feel like you are in a bigger home, and don't pack the house with space you can't use. The houses have a lot of light and you can tell they are on a different level with quality. We were actually referred to Highland by some friends who lived in one in a different part of the state and loved it. The biggest disappointment was that when we moved in, there were several things on the house that weren't completed and should have been either verified or checked before we got there. We had to submit 7 warranty tickets within the first week of living in the home, for various issues ranging from the thermostat not going below 72 (due to a contractor lock on the thermostat), to the oven not being plugged in - general things which should have been addressed before we moved in. What I will say is that once we brought these things up/submitted warranty tickets, our Construction Manager helped out with getting repairs moving and everything was resolved in a very intrepid manner, and we haven't had any further issues out of the items we listed needing to be addressed. The people you work with are great and they are responsive to the warranty items, the only reason I can't give a perfect rating is because quite frankly the house wasn't ready when we moved in. A warm and friendly experience from start to finish. Attention to detail from our builder gave us tremendous confidence in the final outcome

First, I couldn’t be more happy with our home quality. However, the aspect of the home purchase I loved the most was after the contract was signed and during the build. Both Cece (sales) and Jack (project construction manager) worked with us on all the things we wanted changed and corrected during the build as much as possible. They were relentless in trying to ensure everything was as perfect as possible when we finally closed. Many of the changes were “nit picky” but they always tried as hard as possible with an up beat attitude. Even after the close, warranty items have been handled with the same level of customer service with usually a follow up call the day after submitting. With all the horror stories you hear on buying homes, I can honestly say my experience with Highland Homes has been amazing. ... More

You can tell when you look at other builders homes and divisions that Highland build quality is better. The homes are all brick and come with a lot of extras. The sales agent was excellent (Brittany) in keeping us informed during the build process. The homes are more expensive but you get what you pay for. They do not change the price upwards like many builders are now doing once you have contracted your home.
