Buying experience excellent but too many amenities were upgrades. Superintendent not as attentive once you’ve gone to closing. No real follow through.

Overall they are very good, a pleasure to deal with. Afer purchasing the house, we've found some materials that lack quality, small items, but they should pay mor attention to those details

Overall a great experience. My biggest issue are the following; 1. The amount I paid for my home and the space .. houses are just so close to each other. Literally the home behind me is in my backyard… I can’t even have privacy. I paid way too much money to not have some sort of privacy. I know that on me as well because I should have pick a home that didn’t have the neighbors in the backyard. Ridiculous for the price though. 2. Workmanship- for the most part ok but ton of area that have paint issues (not enough coats of paint), damage to doors (scuffs, paint drips) and under the sick multiple holes in the wood where it seems like someone was confused where the hole needed to be. Put a new piece instead of leaving that messed up piece there. I spent too much money on this home for it not to to have detailed oriented work done. Buying experience with Highland Home's sales and finance team was great, the construction manager was accessible too... Less stress compared to my previous buying experience. My home floor plan is functional(living and kitchen area) and easy to decorate. The exteriors are well made with high quality materials, with water efficient sods. However, like every new home these days the interior finishing quality isn't that great. The paint quality is poor, you can't wipe off stains without doing touch ups. The toilet water systems are old-school and not efficient. The doors are not tight enough allowing energy losses mostly in the attic areas. I believe some of these issues could be avoided if you build from scratch, you can pick energy efficient items. The warranty respond team can do better. Everyone I have worked with at Highland has been great, and the after sale responsiveness, when there have been issues have been great. I would say a couple of their trades are lacking. Small things like the front door knob falling off, while an easy fix, is a little frustrating. My one major complaint is on the interior paint. The quality of work is sub par, and even the lightest bunk against a wall causes scuffs. I believe this is due to the use of flat paint and also very things spray application. I have a feeling I will need to have the entire interior repainted, which is not going to be cheap. ... More

Love our new home from Highland! There are a couple Things here and there that have had to have work on after closing but nothing major and we absolutely love our new house!

Jonathan & Pat were a great team to work with. We enjoyed the entire experience.

We had a great sales experience, the sales team has been excellent with responding to queries, addressing our concerns etc. Special call out to Lula who has been excellent to work with. Mixed experience with the construction team. Since we were remote, we didn't had the opportunity to continuously monitor the home. We weren't getting regular (weekly) updates on home construction as promised. During final inspection, we found several issues which were addressed promptly, except a few which were missed and we found them out after moving into the home. We were asked to raise home warranty case, which we did along with a bunch of other issues we found after living in the house. Warranty team has been responsive, but the speed of resolution is not up to mark. It has been more than a month since we moved in, still dealing with unfixed issues with the builder. ... More

Naturally, issues will arise when building a home. In every challenge, our salesperson and job foreman were helpful, positive, and made sure our needs and expectations were met.

Highland uses all the spaces in your home. Extra closets and storage are everywhere in this home.
