This company is very busy which means that they often don’t have time to address issues you may have with your home. This can be frustrating. There are some areas in my home where the finish work such as the painting is subpar and sloppy. I am waiting for issues with getting the right paint to correct itself, so that I can fix these flaws myself

Overall, a great buying experience. There are still a few cosmetic issues to be addressed (paint touch-ups, a door handle replacement and a couple others) but after reaching out and sending a detailed list, they have scheduled a day to deal with them. The neighborhood is great and we love it so far after a month or so. I would definitely recommend but I would also be vigilant about following up on any issues.

We had a wonderful experience with Highland Homes. While at times it was stressful, as homebuilding can be, Aaron & Layne were always quick to resolve any issues and make things right. They were both very responsive and happy to call us whenever we needed. It felt like we were building a home with family. We did feel like some of the more detailed aspects of the house were initially completed poorly but our builder made sure to have the contractors come out and fix things to a more expected level. Even after closing, both Layne and Aaron have been super responsive to any minor issues that have come up or questions that we have. We are so thankful to have built our first home with Highland! Easy to work with & corrected things I saw in my home that bothered me

We had a great experience working with Highland Homes from our first meeting with the sales team, to follow meetings with sales/design/construction, to the day we moved in. We had very few issues during the process or since we've moved in. My only complaint and why I gave only 3 stars on "Responsiveness to issues" is that since have have moved in, we have had a very hard time getting the maintenance/construction team to respond to tickets we've had open for weeks. I believe their team is overwhelmed, and do not expect it to improve as they are starting to break ground on the next phase behind our home. ... More

This was our second time building a new home. First was with a custom home builder and second was with Highland. We had a far superior experience with Highland. Aleasha and Michael were both wonderful to work with and helped with all questions and requests along the way. We would build again with Highland if the time ever arose. Thank you!!

Highland homes’ plans really stand out with the high ceiling and open floor concept.

From the initial meeting with the sales rep to the final walk through, everything was easy. The sales person worked hard to get me what I wanted as far as the design budget went, so I didn’t have to sacrifice a lot as a single mom. My builder emailed me weekly to keep me in the loop as the building process progressed and was responsive to my questions or concerns. Highland has so many upgrades that are part of their standard package. I absolutely love my home!

The Highland team was great. We were having difficulty selling our home and could not get into our Highland home until it sold. Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with a realtor, which greatly contributed to this issue. Highland was very understanding and flexible with allowing us additional time to get a new realtor and we were able to sell our home! As far as the builder goes, Garrett was awesome! He provided excellent communication by sending a weekly progress report on the progress of the home and promptly follow-up on any questions or concerns we had.

Liked the staff and home

Overall the experience was great, due to Covid things got delayed but that was understandable and in the end I feel we closed on a pretty great home. Are there some things that the quality is not what we expected, definitely but hopefully Highland will work through them with us

I love my new home. It was worth the minor issues with workmanship when moving in.

They were very quick to respond to any requests and thorough in their responses.

The person assigned to our home, was not only professional and knowledgeable, he was very caring and genuine in addressing all of our concerns and answering the 100 questions that kept arising. Also, is response time with follow-up was impeccable.

Sales and operations staff were helpful, attentive, and responsive. A great team with a good product.

Finish work--paint, drywall and tile--could have been much better. There are multiple corners of walls/bottom trim that are not square and/or even. Highland Homes is correcting all of the issues however, would have rather had the finish work completed properly the first time. I am most pleased with the windows and doors installation. The wooden floors which we chose (which covers most of the downstairs) was installed properly and looks great. And I feel that Highland Homes does an excellent job with installation and design of the Trane Heating and Air Conditioning system--very efficient and very well balanced. Follow up from contractors/sub contractors has been prompt and professional. Our Highland Homes Construction Manager was attentive to our requests and kept us engaged and informed. Highland home team for The Grove is A team. Sales manager/construction manager are great to work with.

Great experience and level of professionalism. Made the experience seamless.

We had a great experience with our salesperson. She delivered everything she promised and she was a great help with understanding the process of building with Highland. The project manager did an equally fabulous job. He listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to deliver what he could. Past those two it was sometimes a struggle to get answers or help with the things we wanted for our house. For the new home buyer I would recommend making a list of the things important to you, floor plan, finishes, outdoor space, to name a few. Look at all possible plans and work hard at the design center to get what you want while staying in your budget. They have things they forgot they had, so bring pictures of what you want. Only been in the house for 4 weeks but seems to what we hoped for!

Love Trinity Falls neighborhood and love our new home. It was great working with Valerie at Highland Homes.
