Jim and Mark really good person and consider your home as theirs and I would give 5 star to Highland homes

The care and quality exhibited by the subcontractors was very disappointing. The PM for the builder did a good job getting things corrected. The cleanliness of the home at move in was not as expected.

People that seem to care about welcoming you into the Highland family...

Naturally, issues will arise when building a home. In every challenge, our salesperson and job foreman were helpful, positive, and made sure our needs and expectations were met.

Everything was very smooth from initial process to final move-in as Highland homes processed however, i missed some options since this is my first home. I really like the Quality and i feel worth the money. when it comes to Builder's team specially my construction Manager was awesome, i don't know if any constructor manager will respond after closing but my construction manager is still helping me wherever i need his help. very patience and helpful. Finally very loyal and trust worthy builder to buy a house.

The overall materials used to build the home is good but really poor workmanship. Not so happy with the electrical planning & workmanship, kitchen cabinet install work, work around the yard that was supposed to be provided and some tile work.

Communication with our builder has been terrible. Some of the communication issues are his fault but he's also at the mercy of his contractors that simply don't give a crap anymore. The painters were horrible and two crews were fired during the build process. Now painters who come in are kids with zero experience. Trying to get contractors to show up at all has been an absolute pain. Highland is doing the best they can. We fortunately started the build process early in the year. House was completed in 10 months but we have neighbors who built a year prior and it only took 6 months. Now I'm hearing total build time is 12-16 months. Can't get materials, can't find workers, if you find workers, the quality of their work is horrible. If you must build now, know going into it that it will be a really bumpy ride. If you've built in the past, forget about that experience. This day and age, people building your house flat out could not care about overall quality of their work. If your builder isn't happy with that contractor, that contractor will just get up and leave because they have 100 other jobs they can go too. Again, this isn't really a Highland Homes issue. This is just an issue we all face these days. Even employees in over services areas simply do not care because they can go find another job in a heart beat. If you don't have to build now, I would highly recommend you wait a few years. Yes, prices keep going up but the wait will be worth it. Thankfully our build is complete but we are still dealing with warranty items that are taking months to get completed. Most are 5 min jobs and it's like pulling teeth to get someone to show up! ... I was very surprised at the rudeness of building construction mgr. Shane H. The house slab not level, roof has studs pushing shingles in a lot of roof areas, kitchen cabinets color miss match and drawers get stuck, windows not square floor molding not level and open in lots of areas, washing machine room has missing tile, front entry slab not level (during rain entry flooded)all this after only one month in house. I love bigger house but not poor workmanship. High priced but over all poor workmanship and management of build. I now feel like a number not personal person homeowner. A lot of these items were on closing construction mgr. followup list . I closed on house and now I do not exist but a low number on priority. I felt disrespected by Shane G. at closing. ... More

we love our new Highland Home.

Both our builder and sales lady were very professional and attentive to anything we needed, including responding to texts and emails. The whole process was excellent! Only issue was a bowed framing around the master shower. We expected a much higher attention to detail on the construction side.

The home buying process was easy from the initial contact, to making our interior choices. Once construction began, we were updated weekly on the progress and when issues arose around supply chain issues, we were kept well informed. It never felt like things would be rushed just to get the house done. We are very pleased with the quality of the construction and any after-closing issues have been minimal and handled timely.

Everyone on the team is knowledgeable, helpful and nice. The weekly construction calls keep us informed all the way through our build. Fantastic experience!

Best team to choose if you want someone to care about your home as much as you do!

We bought several Highland homes before this one and the experience was and still Fantastic. The experience with this home doesn’t feel like you can brand this home as a Highland home . NO WAY . The sad part , everyone blame Coronavirus . This doesn’t justify poor workmanship and poor customer service . It simply doesn’t feel like Highland Brand .

Boy, they are excellent and trusrworthy

Our overall experience was GREAT !! The house felt like home the first night we slept in it. Our Project Manager Jonathan was on top of everything. Our Sales Manager Lyndsay made some great recommendation starting with the lot we picked.

The sales experience was wonderful with Todd. He made everything as smooth as possible and was very accommodating. Our build experience, however, was stressful many times, Our first contractor, John, was very nice and professional but there were many hangups in what we asked for vs. what we got, mainly with countertops and my daughter's closet. We were given a new contractor. Garrett, to date, has followed through on everything we asked of. Unfortunately, we've noticed so many oversights since we've moved in, so the quality workmanship, has left a bad taste in our mouth. The project was not completed by our closing date, so after move in, we still had workers in our home, There's been some items that have had to be repaired multiple times to meet our satisfaction. Again, nothing on Garrett....he's been very professional and courteous. We just feel like, for the price we paid, we should have received top notch service from the beginning to end. After owning a Highland home ten years ago and having an incredible experience, we were excited to build another Highland after moving back to Texas. Unfortunately we encountered a nightmare with being assigned multiple builders, mistake upon mistake with workmanship and materials, and having to get upper management involved to actually get our build finished. I know it’s a tough market now, but I would not buy a Highland home again.

We loved the house, and Daniel was great to work with, and made this process very easy and straight-forward. The only issue I have with it is that the finish out was not the greatest, there were some of out doors that appear to have been hastily painted, paint chipped off of some of the walls, etc. All of that was pretty minor though, and the overall experience e was about as good as one could've hoped for in building a house.

Our home was rushed to close. The day of closing it was not complete and we were promised it would be that day. Shame on us for trusting. We expected outstanding quality with highland homes, we did not get that quality. Everywhere I look I see a rushed home build. So disappointing.

Overall out house is good, however for the orice paid, a LOT of the finishes are very low quality. We paid over 600k for our home and as an example, our pendant lights are plastic, our door handles two months in are already coming apart. Low quality materials

I moved in October of 2021 it’s now end of January 2022 and my issues are still not being addressed.
