Happy with quality of home, a few minor issues popped up after we moved in, as expected, but they're being addressed. A little slow, but being addressed.

The building manager, Giovani, was wonderful with the home building process. He was accessible, knowledgeable, open minded, flexible and helpful. He made the home building process not just easy, but fun for us as buyers. He addressed our concerns quickly and educated us about many things along the way. The suggestions and recommendations he made were things we are really grateful for after we moved in.

We love our highland home! The first builder project manager we had did not send updates and we didn’t feel included in the building process. We had several glitches through the finance and closing processes with document recording, closing dollar amount, holding keys at closing over $50 that was a quality review issue on the title and finance side and last minute upgrades that had to be installed. When Jesse came in and took over near closing he has treated us not only fairly but has gone above and beyond to ensure everything in our home is satisfactory for us. The best thing has been no issues (except bad thermostats which were promptly replaced by the builder) after closing. Highland builds a quality house, and they back up their work.

Ensure contracted workers are not souring Highlands name by their workmanship.

Sales & Construction teams both exhibit professionalism.

Overall the home is awesome. Small things that could have easily been fixed before I moved in were clogged drains, scratches on the cabinets, front door finish, yard watering system issues, etc. Highland Homes was responsive to fix the issues.

We have enjoyed purchasing a Highland Home and feel that it is truly a beautiful, well built home. Their response time to any issues we have had has been very good and we are overall very pleased with our purchase!

Very nice experience from buying till closing.

My wife and I love the home; however, our AC unit is not up to par. The temp in the house is 72 degrees, but the humidity level has been as high as 83%. We bought a small portable dehumidifier to help control the humidity level to something a little more tolerable, like 50-55%.

Great builder. Did everything they stated they would

I didn’t move into Paloma Creek. I moved into wildflower ranch. Ginger was knowledgeable and supportive throughout our homebuying experience. Our superintendent, Aaron was attentive to our needs and followed through on request in a timely manner.

Miguel (builder) has been wonderful. He has been thorough, responsive and patient. I feel that he takes my questions seriously and cares about the quality of the home as well as my experience in the entire build process.

Edison was great! He always did what he said he would do and greatly appreciated his commitment and follow through on details while balancing the the best interests of his company and keeping the buyer(me) happy. I’d hire him to work for me.

Really want to give the construction manager, Luke, a 5-Star rating. From the first time we met, before a contract, he has been patient, professional and timely with his responses to our questions and construction issues. His intentions to resolve issue quickly were often thwarted by unreliable subs. We've purchased several new homes in the Austin area over the past 30 years and find Luke to be one of the best!

Great experience and quick response to issues

Great experience with the sales team.

This is our second time building a home. Everything wasn’t perfect, however it was much better than our prior experience. Everyone we worked with were genuinely good people and anything that wasn’t right was corrected. Definitely a great experience!!

There a few issues with appliances and interior finishes. Const rep was very helpful in correcting issues

A lot of issues after the fact

The overall experience was pretty good. The builder was very quick at responding to questions. The painters could be more careful. The people who install the quarter round at the base of a kitchen island were not very precise in cutting it to the right length and as a result there were gaps between the sections. Also the flooring people cut a piece of the flooring too short so now there is a place where there is a gap of space between the flooring and the island in the kitchen.

We needed to find a house as we had sold our house in Dallas and were moving to Austin to be near our children and grandchildren. So we had to take what was offered us. With the exception of getting solid core doors, we were not allowed to request any upgrades or modifications. The house is acceptable but not our dream home. We are thinking about purchasing a lot in Parten for Highland Homes to build on. Your floor plan is very nice, and we love the single story versus 2 levels. However, there are several minor upgrades and re-design that we would love to incorporate. My brother is a custom home builder so we were spoiled. Highland Homes is a good value for the money. ... Our experience has been very good, but not excellent. The builder has been responsive, but many items have been delayed due to supply chain issues and by contractors being overwhelmed. Our engineer has been very responsive and helpful. Our biggest issue is the lack of quality control. The material a very good, but the quality control of assembly is not there. In all fairness, we have noticed the same issues with other builders after talking with our Neighbors.
