We’re enjoying our new home and really are impressed with the neatness of the neighborhood common areas !!

Overall great design and high quality but there have been a few issues that have come up. Most have been resolved in a professional and timely manner or hopefully will be soon. One outstanding item that we discovered was an issue with the property line and placement of the retaining wall and fence. Unfortunately, Highland was made aware of the issue but never brought it to our attention. We actually discovered the issue while hiring a pool company and a company to install and whole house generator. I brought this up with Highland management three weeks ago and am still waiting for resolution or a plan for resolution. With how tight the lots are it is a material issue for us, but we are hopeful that Highland will resolve the issue soon so we can continue to get the work done and enjoy our beautiful new home. I can't stress enough the great design and overall quality of the home which is what made us buy it. Highland Homes was very easy to work with from the sales process to the construction management. We are happy with the home to this point.

The 40 ft lot is just too small. The house needs just a few feet more width for the rooms to not be awkward sized. The garages are very small. There are a lot of nice features as well. Builders is very responsive to warranty requests.

My experience with my new home is good and could be better if the list of pending items are not so high! When I bought the house, the seller mentioned the inspection process and every item that was not in accordance with my expectation would be fixed. I walked through the house, and we found lots of items that needed to be fixed and unfortunately lots of the items were not solved and even after 1 month, we still have items to be fixed. My second point is related to house cleaning. The carpets, garage and attic were very dirty with dust, and material left behind by the crew. My expectation is that I will receive the house cleaned. One of my frustrations is regarding the sprinklers, because when I bought it, it was mentioned that I could manage the sprinklers through the app on my phone, however it was not mentioned that I need to buy the network card. It was set an expectation and when I wanted to see working, it was communicated that I needed to buy a card to see working, so the expectation that was set created a feeling of frustration and disappointment. My last comment is related to the good Job that Andres is doing to fix all pending items that I have to work on my house. My only suggestion is Hinghlands implement an inspection process with superior quality because some of the rework can be minimized and overall client satisfaction will be better. ... More

This was our first home and the experience was smooth and seamless. Highland was very responsive/supportive in resolving issues post closure. The builder was very accommodative. Overall it was a good experience.

The look and build of house looks great, but the fixes that need to be adressed are still been worked on from last 2 months

I have had multiple new builds, and the Highland team was by far the most professional, friendly and easy to work with. We love the layout and the neighborhood, and are enjoying our new home. That said, I would be remiss if I did not note that the quality of the fit and finish is sub-par, and judging by what I've seen them build not to their standard. Perhaps the quality of the sub-contractors is what is the cause here, but that requires some attention as there are so many issues that should not exist at this level of home /price point.

It was a great experience and the builder/construction manager were great!

Overall a great experience with building. Construction manager was on top of most things and good build out. With the rush towards the end we didn’t get the full ready to move in experience. We still have a few things that need to be worked on.

This was our second Highland Home and the fit and finishes inside where not done as well as our previous home. We were not allowed to change much of anything in reference to colors and options. There was also a lot of trim and paint problems such as doors and drawers not fitting and closing as they should and fitting was off in numerous places. You expect better quality for the price point.

I love my home. I love the style, finishes, design and comfort level. The kitchen and bathrooms are outstandingly finished. I moved here from the East Coast where I have owned about 5 houses over the years. This one is by far my favorite. It’s hard for me to believe how much more house you get here especially with this builder. I’ve been in my home for about 2 1/2 months now and couldn’t be happier but there is just one little complaint that I have and it’s the slow response to issues. After 2 1/2 months there are still a couple of issues to be fixed. I think this problem is true with most builders. But seriously don’t let that discourage you. We had a great experience overall with Highland Homes. The responsiveness of the sales reps and project manager could have been a lot better.

Overall, we love our house!

selections at the design studio were not that extravagant. could have been better.

Our project manager, Keith, was very good. Very responsive. Our sales people, CeCe and Fran, were also very good and helpful.

Overall, we had a good homebuying experience. Unfortunately some of the workmanship was sloppy and not attentive to detail and involved a lot of fixes after the fact (e.g. all electrical switches and caps covered in paint, caulking issues, lot of spaces missing paint, uneven flooring, stair balusters covered in spray paint, trims around door and windows unevenly cut, protruding nails throughout the house, concrete in front of house is full of cracks and chips, empty space left between caps and pipes). My friend's Highland Homes did not have this many issues. We do recognize that Highland Homes has been coming out and fixing some of the issues. It would have been nice if it was done right the first time as many times the work orders are addressed during childrens' nap times. Giovani has been helpful in assisting in fixing some of these, ... We love our home and especially the floor plan. We do have an issue with the low quality kitchen cabinets and countertops used in our home. Countertops easily scratch and discolor, we were told quartz was the best. The cabinet have paint peeling and when the tech came to touch them up, he used spray paint, for a home over $400,000 this is ridiculous. We do have a great relationship with our CM John.
