The building project was flawless and accurately predicted. Of particular note was my experience with DANIELLE,LULA, JAVIER and HARRY. They each made the whole building experience as efficient as possible.

We are new to Texas and spent a great deal of the building process out of the country. Our Construction Manager (Justin Minikes) was always available to answer any questions and offer his expertise. He would even go as far to video chat to show the progress. As we have settled into our new home, he continues to be at bay to answer any questions or concerns we may have. This is always done expeditiously. We love our home but we loved the experience even more! I now understand why Highland Homes are so highly sought after

Highland Homes - Overall there were delays and many not related to highland.

Overall there were delays and many not related to highland. My husband and I are very direct folks and we got the feeling that sometimes they didn’t want to give us answers because of poor customer experience. For us no matter if you said it’s ready in 2 years we would have appreciated that more than I don’t know, i don’t know. That’s it we love our home excluding the very cheap paint that literally wipes away at the touch. Also, all the cosmetic errors that the didn’t fix at walk through and then said wait until 11 months and submit the warranty…

Overall, a great buying experience. There are still a few cosmetic issues to be addressed (paint touch-ups, a door handle replacement and a couple others) but after reaching out and sending a detailed list, they have scheduled a day to deal with them. The neighborhood is great and we love it so far after a month or so. I would definitely recommend but I would also be vigilant about following up on any issues.

My experience from beginning to end was excellent. I felt everything I was told was honest and trustworthy. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. Everything agreed upon was done. I couldn’t be happier.

Our builder and sales rep worked as a team to ensure we were kept informed throughout the build process of progress, risks and schedule impacts. Overall a great experience and we are very pleased with our new house.

Wish the builder Joseph would take care of the things in my home that was supposed to be fixed before I closed. My cabinets, floor and stairs has yet to be fixed. After I closed I was pretty much on my own. Sprinkler company also still hasn’t came out.

Happy, but not happy

This is the first new home we have bought and am happy to have done this but there are many things that I wish I knew. First off, if you are buying a semi custom home from Highland do not expect custom quality. It was clearly explained to me by my construction manager (Don) that these are production homes and not to expect the same quality as a fully custom home. This really irritated me and showed the lack of pride of the employee and their management have in their workmanship. It seems like the sub contractors are lowest bid contractors and as the saying goes, you get what you pay for. ...

Highland Homes is very responsive, professional and organized builder. We got to purchase new house from Highland Homes and we're satisfied with the quality. Their office staff in Bridgeland, Cypress are very friendly, they helped us several times to manage some issues before moving the house. Danny and Brett always responded within a few minutes which means they care about customers, solve immediately their needs. We definitely recommend Highland Homes if you're buying your dream house within your budget.

Overall I am happy, however there are things that we are noticing now that we have lived in this house for one month that are disappointing. Corners cut and sloppy jobs make for cautious recommendations from my side.

Biggest mistake! Unprofessional and Untrustworthy

I closed on my home in March and builder still has not completed my master bath. Upgrades that were paid for were never installed. Untrustworthy project managers! I had my home inspected before closing and manager said he fixed problems and never did! I’ve had to put in so many warranty requests, I’ve lost count! My husband and I rearrange our schedules to accommodate them and they are constant no call, no show. We are contacting our attorney. Enough is enough! We paid so much money for this house. They are so unprofessional! We should have gone with Trendmaker. I wish I could post pics to ...

Highland Homes - Overall, the house is good from a construction standpoint.

Overall, the house is good from a construction standpoint. However, the painter did a TERRIBLE job, lots of missed spots. Even after pointing out several paint spot and areas of poorly done sheetrock during the final walkthrough, before being told those were “just cosmetic” and made to feel like we were being too picky about walls with giant areas of missing paint and noticeably uneven sheetrock. This is after they tried to sneak in a different countertop and tell me it was the same thing because they couldn’t find the one I ordered. (They did fix this after arguing with me and me calling ...

The sales component was very friendly and helpful. The quality after has left much to be desired. Needed assistance has been difficult to obtain. Things stated as taken care of were not, quality of repairs provided have been substandard and support as well. The list is to long to discuss here.

Experience started out great with a lot of support, but ended up falling short at the end. When I moved in my breaker to washer and dryer was broken, My AC wiring was not connected, and my heat was not turned on. With a new baby this was difficult and felt these things should have been caught.

The Highland design is what stood out most to us as home buyers. The high ceiling and high roof peaks make the home look very estate like!

Highland builds a great home and the design center experience was one of the better ones we have had out of all the homes we built. The new home consultant was very enthusiastic and knowledge and was an advocate for us as buyers throughout the process. Our construction manager was a joy to work with and was very responsive to issues raised during the build process. Job site cleanliness was one area that was a bit frustrating, but overall the end project was great!

I don't have anything negative at all. We looked at several other builders prior to selecting highland - Perry homes, Ashton woods (I think is what they're called), David weekly, and probably a few more I forget the names - it wasn't even close to the 90ft. highland home floor plans. The height of the houses along with the detached garage, the fact that the standard 90 ft lot was a pretty massive lot, the 13 ft. ceilings were pretty much game changers b/c no one else really offered that. Perry you'd have had to pay 50k+ for a lot, and they're ugly houses (at least the one stories - no way ...

The attention to details on the small things matter.

Overall, the home is beautiful. But considering what we paid for the home, the small details should not have been overlooked. Doorknobs are crooked, gaps in the caulking between the floor and baseboards, doorframes aren't level, causing several doors not to shut properly.
