Highland was great to work with. Construction was efficiently managed and never in disarray. All Highland personnel worked to get questions answered and kept in contact with us. We will use Highland again should we decide to build another home.

overall good quality of house, but expensive than other competitor builder (M.I home and some other builders. not clear why it should be expensive than competitor. I see lots of little minor thing not done properly. a little poor in finishing work.

Very good communication and timely help with builder with all of any issues. Just was excited as we were during the process.

We absolutely love our house, we tried to be a part of it through much of the process. Timelines and apparent work shortages cause us to do an initial walkthru before the house was even complete. Not everything identified was fixed prior to purchase and now that everything has to go through "warranty" service and response has dwindled considerably. We still have a laundry list of items and haven't heard much from highland. Up until this point we felt much more positive about our overall experience, just seems typical now to forget the customer once the home is delivered.

From the start to the finish they were a great company to work with on the build of my first new home. Gracie was my sales rep and she was amazing from the beginning to the closing.

Overall, the sales process, lender and closing services with the title company was very good. However, the operations, ( builder and warranty service) has been less than satisfactory. It took serval calls to get someone to respond to our requests for warranty service. Our original builder did a walk through the less then a week before closing and a final one a day before closing. There were still issues with our house the day before we closed. The were some things wrong with our home that that was very obvious and which should have been addressed, yet he chose not to. We have someone else assigned to us due to the fact that our original builder's unsatisfactory response for service and the fact that he waited until the day before closing to do a walkthrough with us. The fact that there were details that still needed to be addressed and/or corrected a day before is completely inexcusable. Extremely disappointed with workmanship and “their process”. Re-doing things 4 & 5 times is not a process. It’s poor quality & oversight. There was basically none. We had to be there everyday to point out the errors which for the most part they ignored. We would not recommend Highland Homes based on this experience. We’ve built numerous homes between the two of us and none of them have been this poor.

There were several issues discussed during the first, and only, walk through (I was promised two walkthroughs before the closeout; but, Nick, the builder, refused to do a second one) and the issues were not covered between the walkthrough and the closeout. The day of the closeout, Nick had someone pulling blue tape off the walls (blue tape indicates areas needing touch-up) but no work was being performed. The garage door was supposed to be fixed, it was not, the texture on the entrance hallway was supposed to have been fixed, it was not, he had the sprinkler system running every day and now there are runoff lines in the lawn, those were shrugged off, the sprinkler system has had issues “not running,” and leaks, the front door is missing screws, nick has yet to address this issue, Nick promised me on the first walkthrough he would get me a price on a solid core door for my wife’s office, this took an extraordinarily long time and when I replaced the door the top hinge jam side screws were completely stripped, like there’s not a stud back there. I was supposed to be put in touch with the painter so my wife could have a few rooms painted before we moved in, that never happened. ... More

must resolve issues

Our sales agent was amazing and our second CM has been wonderful, but unfortunately, some mistakes are too expensive and work-intensive to resolve at this point. Our first CM made a slew of mistakes -- misframed walls, crooked island, and we ended up with a sewage backup within the first week, of living in our new home. We definitely wish we'd had an inspector come out for the predrywall walk and again before closing. GET A GOOD INSPECTOR! However, overall, we are loving our home and our new CM has been very empathetic and good to work with in correcting issues that we can still resolve. While there are things we wish we'd done differently during the building / inspection process, we don't regret going with Highland and would recommend them to our friends and family. ... More

Highland Homes hurried to finish my house leaving several items unfinished or not working. The construction manager soon left the company leaving my house incomplete. The replacement construction manager did make sure unfinished and broken items were completed but it took significant time. The house is nice with some technology upgrades but some design aspects like garage size are problematic.

When looking for a home in the Drippings Springs area, you need to see Lula and her team in Highpoint. They are the best.

My whole experience with Highland Homes was awesome from start to finish. Me and my family are extremely satisfied!

Designer chosen colors and fixtures provided me with a home that is lovely, and well built. Light and airy with lots of windows and high ceilings, the home is comfortable and attractive.

We were very pleased with using Highland loan source. We are NOT pleased with dealing with construction and warranty issues. This is our second highland home in 5 years . The first experience in 2014 was great. Now in 2019 this experience is much different and to be honest very disappointing.

First, I love my home. The design, amount of space for the price and the high ceilings are my favorite aspects of the house.

This is our third new build over the years and by far the best experience. From working with sales for the initial purchase to the updates and responsiveness from the project manager Brady. I’m addition, the quality of the build is the best we have had yet. Highland was recommended to us and we will definitely recommend to others as well.

Andrew our Highland Homes sales agent, and Jeremy our contractor, provided excellent customer service, and helped us immensely in getting everything we wanted for our beautiful home. Thank you to both!

Gracie and Genie were exceptional to work with. They addressed our concerns and fixes in a timely manner.

The sales and superintendent personnel were awesome, extremely responsive and accommodating to our needs - could not find better people to work with. Some of the work done in the house was a bit sloppy, but when we pointed out something that needed to be addressed they were on it immediately.

I would say without a doubt that the true reason for our love for our new home stems from the tremendous sales team here at Highlands at Mayfield Ranch! Both Lyn and her Assistant Linda were exemplary. Id recommend this builder and especially these two wonderful ladies to anyone looking for a new home. The plans offered are spectacular and the builder makes good use of the space.

I'm highly satisfied the business with the highlands homes. Our bulier Mr. Luke did an excellent job with us and very professional. No delay on any small request we were asking, very responsive and professional. I highly recommend him to my friends who are looking for a new community in future.
