We checked many builders in Texas and chose Highland based on numerous positive reviews from Highlanf home owners. Add us to the list of extremely satisfied costumers!! We have nothing but positive experiences from the sales team (Shout out to Jonathon) and our construction manager (Walter). Everyone was extremely professional and responded promptly to our wants and needs.

We were excited to build a new home. But when we moved in, there were several items that were not completed. The house was not cleaned at all except for the carpets which had mud stains. They should have not been stained by workers. We had to clean the garage, which was filthy, and the attic was supposed to be straightened but not done. We pointed out that there was paint on the floor but that was not cleaned moving into the house. We had to do all that work that should have been done before we moved. The driveway was covered in oil paint from the house next door. The workers should be informed that these are expensive properties and care should be used while working on house to prevent damage. They do not take care when doing their job like getting paint on the new flooring. Also, our property should have been power washed before closing. We had our work-through and taped "bad" spots on the walls, but they did not fix until over a week later. Several pieces of the tape fell off, so they ended up not being fix. In fact, some of the items we pointed out were not finished the day before closing. We pointed out stuff before closing that needed to be done (and said was done) but later found out it was not done. After closing, we let the contractor know some problem issues. We had pointed out before closing, 2 bushes were dead, so they needed to be replaced when the water ban was lifted. These were eventually replaced but think that the landscaping should have been watered or not put in until water ban was lifted. We had several issues that had to be fixed. Our vanity lights were not installed before moving in. The lights came in and under the LED lights, the wall was not painted and textured, which we asked if it was done so the lights could be installed when they came in. It was an additional 2 weeks before the wall was fixed so the lights could be installed. We had to fight to finish the bad paint job. We were told we had been given the opportunity to QC the house, so it was our problem. We are paying 700,000 for a house and think that the builders should QC their homes. We pointed out that they did not paint house right after we QC'd and tape came off. They had sent painters, but we were not informed they were coming. They ran in, slapped some paint on, and ran out. We did not have chance to point out spots they missed. After bringing up our point, new painters came out and they did an excellent job. We also had an issue we pointed out before closing that was not addressed until a month plus later. There was a piece of trim in the master bathroom the was not finished. It cutoff at a very sharp angle. We asked that to be fixed but it took long time to get addressed. There were many minor issues. Some took a long time to get addressed after bringing them up, so I ended up entering warranty issues so that they could be addressed. After that, things got addressed and there are no outstanding issues. As far as what we requested, we ordered a lighting package, but it was discontinued. The new lighting came with a single pendant light. We wanted three pendant lights so builder ordered pendants from another lighting package that had 3 pendants. We are very happy with those pendant lights. But we were supposed to have an extra outlet in the garage between the two garage doors, but it was put in the back of the garage where we cannot use it. It was supposed to be near the front so we can use power tools to work on projects. Lastly, the quality of construction is poor. Being that we are from a strong union state, our standards may be higher than here. The fence is new but most of the nails are not nailed into the studs and will need to be re-nailed. The windows are not even. House seems like it was "eye-balled" instead of making sure it was level and plumb. We are happy with our floor plan and our design choices. But we would probably not recommend Highland Homes since their quality of work is low and they do not turn over a clean house. ... More

From initial contact with sales rep Avery through the build process with Mark our builder the experieince was exceptional. This is the second Highland home that we've purchased and it was very enjoyable to nerd out on teh build process itself. In my opinion as a business leader fro over 30 years I beleive I have developed an eye for talent and Avery and Mark are stars in your organization .

Our home buying experience journey was smooth and transparent . Sales folk to the construction manager zack were great and were really helpful through the the process.

Our salesperson, Gracie, and the construction superintendent were great to work with. Both were extremely responsive and professional. They were great with communication throughout the whole process from contract to closing.

better give customers with some upgrades at home. we already ended up paying big amounts.

I love my Highland Home. I have had some new home issues (common with new construction) but Highland has been responsive, and the issues are being resolved timely. Henry has been a large help in coordinating all of the necessary repairs for our family. Highland's professionals (Avery, Brandon, Henry) all have been very helpful throughout this entire homebuying process. Brandon & Henry both consistently respond after hours when I had new home construction issues. Between them both I feel confident that all of my new home issues will be resolved timely and to my standards.

Can't speak for other locations, but the sales and construction teams at 6 Creeks in Kyle are great. They go above and beyond to address all my concerns and helped make my home truely custom. Highland has great options and I am very happy with the finished product.

I would definitely recommend highland homes. As a first time home buy, I really don't have to worry on anything, Highland homes took care of us through out the closing and they are pretty responsive.

Avery, our sales counselor helped make the buying experience very pleasant. She was very responsive to our questions and assisted in making some changes we requested. Whitaker, our builder kept us informed thru out the construction phase with weekly updates. The whole process from initial buy to closing went very well. We are very pleased with the quality of our new home. We would highly recommend Highland Homes.

As compared to other builders I have dealt, the Highland team was top notch. Very attentive to me as a homebuyer but also making sure that they communicated effectively along every step of the way. The quality of the finished product far exceeds what wwe expected and friends and familly that have beenover have been wowed to the point of considering Highland for their own future homes. I HIGHLY recommend Highland Homes.

Definitely not up to the mark. Being premium builder the cost is definitely higher than other builders in same neighborhood but we don’t see that difference in quality or features or finishing. The main complaint is the amateurish finishing overall and clearly shows that care was not shown and was rushed. They are good in responding to service requests.

Great value for the money. The construction quality could use some improvement though. Sales manager was good and responsive until we got into contract but never heard back after that. Would have appreciated a more engaging team.

a lot of care goes into the craftsmanship of the Highland home we purchased. when there were problems, they were addressed. no questions asked. they explained everything we needed to know.

Franciso has been amazing and he takes care of all the issues pretty quickly. His response time is amazing and off the roof. I am glad we had Francisco as our builder for Highland homes.

Right from signing to closing, always met happy faces at sales office, design center and at construction site. Amy and John were very accessible and provided honest responses to questions and concerns. Took care of our service requests in timely manner post-closing. Overall great build quality and experience! Will strongly recommend Highland homes !

This is to be our final home to retire in and it was important that it was built the way we wanted it and with quality. So glad we chose Highland! Everyone on their team has been fantastic from beginning to end. Avery Turek was an awesome salesperson. She saw our vision of what we wanted and worked hard to get us what we needed. Once building, Whitaker took over and took us through to the end. Sure there were bumps in the road along the way but Highland always stepped in and made things right. Gracie took time from her day each Sunday to take construction progress pics. Our home was built beautifully in the expected time frame. The closing went smoothly without any issue. When I first started searching for a home in Texas, I didn't know much about the local housing market. Thankfully, my relatives, who are native Texans and have experience owning new construction homes around the Austin and San Antonio areas, recommended Highland. They like the fact that Highland uses high-quality materials, even for standard features. It was crucial for me since I was building my home from out of state and wouldn't be able to check on the construction frequently. When we finally received our house, my family and I were happy with the outcome. Avery, the sales representative, and Whitaker, the home builder, did an excellent job. The entire process, from ground breaking to completion, was done smoothly, on time, and without stress.
