This is my first highland home and it will be what I look for if I ever move. They have been nothing but amazing to deal with and accommodating at every front.

We were under the impression that Highland Homes is the best builder in the DFW metroplex area. Apparently, we were wrong. We have been in our home for approximately 30 days but have been faced with several issues. We have had to call the plumber twice, balance the air twice and multiple paint touch ups. Overall, we feel there was severe lack of supervision from Highland Homes construction team. We have had an excellent sales experience but the construction experience wasn't the best. Our garage door is already creaking.

Our builder was amazing and Mindy was amazing, we almost walked from highland homes due to our bad experience in Celina, but Mindy reassured us that we will be taken care of.

From start to finish it was a great experience working with the team at Highland Homes. They were there every step of the way if we needed anything or had any questions, couldn't have work with a better team than the builders at highland Homes. The options we had with add-ons and the quality of products were exceptional.

From the very start, our experience with Highland Homes in ***** was absolutely amazing. We were downsizing and selling our long-time family home in ***** to build what will be our final home.The entire sales and design teams were absolute perfection. ***** and ***** truly listened to our needs from day one. In fact, it was ***** who carefully heard what we were looking for and recommended the exact floor plan we had in our heads. Selling a home while building a new one comes with plenty of bumps along the way, but Highland Homes stood right next to us to ensure we made it to closing. ***** even listened and supported me when things were completely out of her control, offering excellent insight on what to do to get our Frisco home sold so we could close here.Once construction began, ***** was incredible to work with. He has a wonderful demeanor and handles stressful situations and difficult topics with total ease. Well, they look pretty. Actually sales folks are pretty darn good. Then comes the contract. You better be really okay with signing your life away into arbitration. Better really get a really good understanding of what you are doing to yourself contractually. I would caution against buying a spec home, as you'll understand with the rest of my comments to follow. You want a new build? Get okay with the crazy cost of "upgrades". Some things are understandable. Some things are nuts. And if you want a pretty house, you'll have to be somewhat in the nuts category with the design team, as with any production builder. Project management is lacking of quality control in many critical areas & even lacking concern in actual on site day-to-day oversight (?!) ***Hire a really good quality independent inspector & utilize them at every step of the way*** Especially pre-foundation. Especially at framing. & I can't emphasize enough having your sheating & insulation inspected & keeping from any sheetrock going up until this is completely remedied. Expect Highland to show up to closing with a huge list of unfinished items that lack any concern on the part of the project manager / corporation to be quite easily have completed prior to close. You'll have a pretty house with Highland. But you have to actuvely manage every detail of the building process to get the quality you deserve when plopping down a 1/2 to 1.5 million dollars with them. ... More

From the sales team to the build team, everyone was great to work with and really listened to what we wanted.

The entire experience was amazing. Beau helped us pick our home and Allie guided us through the financing process. The highland team was very responsive and helpful through the whole process. Blake, the construction manager has been amazing as well helping us through our moving process and any questions we’ve had since moving in.

We had a fantastic experience with Highland Homes from start to finish. The entire process was professional, transparent, and well organized. Their team was responsive, attentive, and genuinely cared about delivering a quality home and a positive experience for our family. Great floorplan. Bryn was pleasant and easy to work with. Very knowledgeable and helpful before and during the buying process. Jason has been very responsive and great with all the fixes before and after closing. We love the floorplan! Very good for our family.

The process was great! Everyone was very attentive and answered all our questions promptly. Any issues I've had so far have been addressed quickly. There were a couple of cosmetic issues that we noticed within 30 days of moving in, but all were fixed. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Thus far, myself & my wife do like & enjoy our new Highland Home. Furthermore, though with the issues we have had since our March 6th move in … has been problematic at times. The Builder management team has been very responsive & professional in helping getting the maintenance issues resolved & inspected when I have communicated house defects to them. I wish as also my wife does, that interior painting was not done cheaply with the paint that came with. And instead had a gloss to paint and a different color tone instead of the powder base white it has. But overall we love the house.

The overall construction process started off well, and communication during the build phase was appreciated. Weekly updates and photos helped us stay connected since we were not local. Unfortunately, the final stages of the process were disappointing. Before closing, we hired a third-party inspector who identified several items that needed attention. During the final walkthrough, we expected those items to be reviewed carefully with us, but the walkthrough felt rushed and lasted only a short time. Many of the inspection items were not properly reviewed or explained in detail during the visit. After moving forward, we also noticed concerns with the finishing quality in several areas of the home, including electrical fixtures, lighting placement, and cosmetic finishing details that did not meet the expectations we had for a home at this price point. Some items were later described as upgrades, but as buyers we feel more clarity should have been provided upfront regarding standard finishes and options. To their credit, the team did respond after concerns were raised and communication remained professional throughout the process. However, we believe the final quality-control process and homeowner walkthrough experience need significant improvement to better match the expectations of future homeowners. ... More

I love that was able to choose my colors and other options to make it my own style! Everyone made the process smooth and stress free and very patient with all of my questions. By far the best quality compared to other home builders. I am so happy here!
