Everything was going great until the day after funds were transferred on closing. There are still items from our second walk-through that are pending. There is absolutely no communication on getting these items fixed. I have called multiple people at corporate and have always been redirected and left voicemails because i was reassured that I would get a return call but that hasn't happened yet. It has been over two months since closing and items from our walkthrough are still pending. The process with our construction manager was seamless. However after closing, It's hard to reach anyone and communication is minimal to none. I would suggest that anyone buying a house to make sure everything is fixed before transferring funds. I can't imagine how horrible it will be submitting warranty request when items from before closing haven't been done. It is night and day difference how highland homes treats you when they already have your money vs when they don't. Trey was an excellent resource as I navigated my home build and walk through! Julie, Helen & George were very helpful in my step by step process in the other parts of my home buying experience! All of them made this an excellent experience and help reduce my stress level from start to finish!

The most amazing community in this area

Our sales folks and builder never seemed to be on the same page from the get go. Despite several attempts to bridge the gap between us and the builder, we had to bring in the senior manager to help rectify the situation. Once that was done, the customer service and communication improved to an acceptable level. The home was delivered later than promised, but the quality is definitely there.

Could not be happier with our purchasing experience, closing process, and responsiveness to the “punch” list. I have recommend them to potential buyers and would highly recommend them to family and friends. The solid doors, high ceilings and energy efficiency are hard to match.

Not the best experience when building a new house - our builder did not respond promptly to our issues/concerns, and he became defensive when we pointed out issues and/or concerns. We are moved in and continue to deal with issues that should have been resolved prior to closing.

From the beginning of the construction Jordan help me to understand all the process of the construction also is something don't look right they fix right away no question ask,after we closing the house they always respond my call and fix any additional details I find on my house ,super professional,me and my family are super happy to make the decision to choose highlands homes.

A lot of back and forth with the agent and still need some help with a replacement blind and replacement chandelier

Negative: Extreme disparity between standard and upgrade expectations. Very confusing! Extremely low quality workmanship! Continuous need for repairs before closing. Disrespect for owner’s investment. Dents and gouges in upgraded cupboards. Positives: Great interaction with sales staff and design center during building process. Quality fixtures, appliances, flooring, etc. Construction manager’s attention to concerns. Quick follow up to issues after closing.
