We've had several things thast aren't pleasing but our PM has been right on top of them. Getting subs here to correct has and is an issue. Your cleaning crew, in my opinion, does not do a great job. We've been battling a floor issue here since the walk thru and still waiting. Getting closer but still not complete. Very frustrating at best. Your electrical company too can be frustrating. Takes them too long to respond if they respond at all. WHen one pays for this level of home, there are certain expectations. You all need to hone in on your subs and contractors doing it right the very first time. Am I disappointed in some areas? Absolutely!! Quality of workmanship is not all that great.

The Highland sales team was very attentive. We never 2nd guessed our choice to hire them or to purchase their product. The building process was 90% smooth, and where we ran into a slowdown, it was resolved as soon as the vendor made the right product available. Although he was VERY busy, our building coordinator made time for us as best he could. We never felt neglected. When building this many homes, there are certain to be minor workmanship issues, but we have 12 months to work those out!! Happy with Highland!

As a first time home homeowner. Highland made the process seem less and everyone on the team truly cares. The community is great and the team is very responsive to all issues i have had. So far my only complain will be the floor plan design. I think it could be more user friendly. The home is beautiful and very modern but lacks and office space and small things like under the sink trash cabinets

Highland, like any builder, has its own challenges managing sub contractors that are inevitably the ones actually building your home, but Highland’s warranty, commitment to excellence, and absolute focus on building a trusting relationship with you as a homeowner absolutely overcomes the smallest issues as well as the minor near unnoticeable defects that anyone finds in their new home. From start to finish, they’ve been excellent. Even our realtor was like “I don’t ever feel like I earn my commission whenever I work with Highland, they make the entire process so easy, it’s undeniable they’re the best in the biz to work with!” Someday, I hope Highland opts in to build individualized homes on parcels of land individually purchased. Highland Homes took really care about my home and go to extra mile to make us satisfied with new home. For instance, they provided epoxy coating for my garage even cracks were naturally built. It was great experience.

Bought a spec in the drywall stage. ’ll admit, everything wasn’t done perfectly. There were several things that were issues and we felt like we weren’t getting a return on our investment for the quality of work being performed. I’ll also admit, that Highland Homes did everything in their power to fix every issue we have had. And some of these things were big things. They didn’t hesitate to make it right, and continue to strive to make it right until we are satisfied. I went into contract on this home while living in another state, sight unseen. The sales partner, Edna, was phenomenal. Incredibly responsive and accommodating. As was the construction manager, Lonnie. I did my walk-thrus via FaceTime, but felt completely at ease because he was extremely informative/descriptive to help me 'feel' the space. When finally arriving at the house and doing the physical, in person, walk-thru, the experience was the same. There were a couple of very minor things that needed to be addressed and they were done promptly and without issue. In the crazy housing market we are in, in Texas, this transaction went like a dream. No construction delays. No hidden costs/price increases. The build process was longer than expected and I had three different project managers. That caused some miscommunication, but they were great about making it right. I’m very pleased with the house and the service they provide.

After hearing some nightmare stories about other builders within the community, we knew we made the right choice going with Highland Homes. There were some hiccups along the way, but I was extremely pleased with the final product. The house is beautiful, and the builder was extraordinarily accomodating. There is a reason Highland has repeatedly won Builder of the Year! Do not waste your time dealing with anyone except Highland!
