The buying process was great. Sales people worked well with us and our realtor giving us much incentives and access to the home to check and review it. At move in our project / builder manager was always available ensuring details were addressed and fixed. All working as expected. Nice to have the support as you move in and get familiar with your new home.

Highland Homes built our beautiful home in Celina, TX, and we couldn’t be more grateful for how it all came together. Like any new build, there were moments where we had concerns, but Highland really showed up for us. Their supervisor got personally involved, stayed in close touch, and made sure every issue was handled the right way. They listened, followed through, and sent the right people as many times as it took to make things right. That level of care built our trust—and in the end, they delivered not just a house, but a home we truly love.

Choose your house engineer carefully if you can. Make sure they actually understand what’s happening inside the house. In my case, the concrete was poured on a rainy day, which led to cracks. Any concerns I raised were brushed off as “common.” There was no blue-tape walkthrough, even a month after moving in, supposedly due to a “new Highland policy.” A design center mistake caused mismatched grout in the bathrooms that was never corrected, even though I was told verbally it would be. Several promises were made but not delivered. As a corner lot, we were supposed to receive upgraded side trees, which never happened. I was also told the exterior electrical setup would be finalized later, but that discussion never took place. During my search for a home I looked at several builders but when I walked into the Dove Hollow model I knew I had found my builder. The offered a home that met the things I was looking for in my home. I knew immediately my search was over. The sales team was excellent, answered my many questions, even after I was under contract. They have been very responsive to all requests for minor fixes since moving.

The experience with him is not quite good, there are some upgrades in the house that was not mentioned and it was too late to add it in, and there are some that are missing like a middle shelve in the main closet and he said it doesn't have one and the corner edge of the bathroom tiles doesn't have covering and its showing all the roughness of the tiles and there's one towel holder in one of the bathroom that is missing. There are paint issues all over the house that its not address yet. Not satisfied, might sell the house.

Highland Homes is a quality home, especially for the price and the team support throughout the build process. They were quick to respond to our requests and followed through on their commitments. This was our second Highland Home purchase. Julie is always awesome.

What can I say, except there was never a single ounce of hesitation or concern that we were in the right place and in the right hands. From the moment we walked into the model home and community, which instantly felt less like a showcase and more like an actual home, we knew where we wanted to be. The Highland sales representatives welcomed us with warmth, hospitality, a level of trust, truth and honesty, along with a knowledge of the build and willingness to understand our needs that immediately put us at ease. Our project manager carried that trust all the way through, keeping us informed (and calm) even during the inevitable slow stretches of progress. We will always say that his Thursday evening emails were the best part of our Friday mornings and start to our weekend. As an Architect and Contractor, I know and understand the design and construction process. In looking for a builder I reviewed current Highland homes under construction and was impressed with the design, quality and attention to detail. Our Sales Counselor was amazing. She explained the process and helped with our initial budget, our final contact was under that budget! She was always available and provided great insight on options. The design process was excellent, the design center provided a lot of really good materials to choose from. We knew the cost impact of design decisions throughout the process. Our construction manager was involved in the design phase and kept us up to date on the progress of construction and explained next steps clearly. There are always issues with construction, he was all over anything that needed attention. Everyone was great! We got into the house of our dreams ahead of schedule, Zach our sales rep was amazing!

Overall happy with house. Painters were careless and completely missed some spots. Some request during construction were completely ignored. Cabinetry work was less than ideal.

We love our new home and everything about it. Our one true concern was some lack of focus on the details concerning the installation of grout, caulk, and paint throughout the house. We have noticed gouges in the seems throughout the house where there was lack of attention. Dustin has been great in addressing every issue to insure our new home is 100%.

We’re very happy with our new home built by Highland Homes. The construction quality, design, and attention to detail really impressed us. From the initial walkthrough to the final touches, everything was handled professionally. The sales team was friendly, informative, and made the entire process feel smooth and stress-free. That said, we were a bit disappointed to see the base price of our floor plan drop less than a month after we closed. We understand that pricing can shift with the market, but such a quick decrease felt discouraging, especially after making such a big investment. Overall, we still love our home and appreciate the craftsmanship and care that went into building it. After referring Highland Homes, and Zach, to my parents in 2021, I was excited to partner with them to build my home in 2025! The entire team’s excellent communications, the perfect floor plan, and the flexibility with the options made the stressful process of building a home completely enjoyable and exciting! Now that we have moved in, we couldn’t be happier with the end result. A few minor issues since closing have been quickly acknowledged and resolved! Highly recommended!!!!

This is my first time purchasing a new build so I have nothing to compare my experiences to. This was a forced move for work so not a lot of time to shop around. Highland came highly recommend from my realtor. I looked at 2 Highland homes and on its face I really like them. Completed my "blue tape" walk through (took a vacation day and drove 10 hrs total) where I marked things that needed repaired before closing. I attempted to go over things with a fine toothed comb but it's a lot to look at in a short amount of time. I came back the next week for closing and was assured by the builder all of my stuff was repaired. I arrive at the house and noticed 90% of the things I marked were not fixed, though the blue tape was now removed. I was not a happy camper. What other things did they cover up? I made my concerns known and a few of the bosses arrived and began helping fix items. They assured me multiple people had walked through my house several times, but they must've walked through with their eyes closed to miss all the glaring issues. Things ranged from screws in the door hinges not screwed in, paint splatter all over the laminate flooring, trim not complete nor painted, grout all over the tile, laminate damaged, outlets not installed correctly, and sink leaking (though i was told it was fixed already, yet under the cabinet was still wet). Yes they are willing to fix it. Thankfully you get a bumper to bumper warranty for the first year because you'll need it. After a week of being in the home 5 tiles cracked in the bathroom and a warranty claim was made. I get angry every day knowing what I paid for the house and looking and the poor craftsmanship throughout the house. I will not be a repeat customer! ... More
