Overall great and stressful experience. I little disappointment my an expired welcome gift.

We are very impressed with the process from the beginnig of the construction to handover. Ashley and Caleb did a good job in each and every steps of the building process.

We have lived in the townhome since October this year. We like the community and the design and the overall quality of construction of the building for the price.

I’ve researched Highland Homes before I moved to Texas and found this company is buy far the best builder. My concern is the sub-contractors and following up with the quality of their work. Every phase should be checked and the homeowner should get weekly reports or visits if possible to their home. I have a few concerns that is being addressed immediately by Highland Homes warranty, but these noticeable concerns should have been fixed by your construction manager by doing his/her due diligence for the best builder in this state of Texas. I recommend Highland Homes to a friend of mind and they’re having a home built in San Antonio, Texas as I write this review. There completion date is February 2023. The house is just perfect for me. Due to the delays I had to wait 3-3/2 months in a hotel room nearby. There were a few mistakes made that the builder took care of. I'm hoping Darren will come by to see what we have done.

Home building is not an exact science right now. Be aware that even though you think you might have a date or expectation for completion that can change. Just know you should still expect weekly updates as the build progresses.

Lindsay was awesome in professionalism and communication in helping us secure our loan.

Overall it was a good experience. My wife and I enjoyed the people we worked with as they were friendly, responsive, and respectful. We would buy a Highland home again, but we would watch the building process a lot more closely along the way. I feel they are experiencing labor issues with their contractors and overall workmanship was lacking when it comes to fine details. For example small things being missed, paint and caulking just looks sloppy in areas, etc. Closing ended up being a mad dash to get everything done as the house wasn't ready. This probably contributed to the fine details being sloppy. The overall quality of the materials is great and we love the floor plan. Happy with quality of home, a few minor issues popped up after we moved in, as expected, but they're being addressed. A little slow, but being addressed.

Edna was absolutely amazing from start to finish, we adore her. Our builder Lonnie, worked tirelessly to get things done despite the shortages of both materials and workers post pandemic. We are really happy with our overall build process. Would highly recommend!!!

selections at the design studio were not that extravagant. could have been better.

The home overall is a great home. I had a lot of rough times with the builder with things not been done right seem as they were taking a lot of shortcuts to cut cost or either the trades didn't care. I have since moved into home and the trades throw their trash on the side of home, they have walked down sod which is nothing but mud now paint on my side and up against my home and I've said something mortar mix thrown all against home, window and A/C unit. Happy with home but not happy on how the trades not held accountable for damaging my home and leaving mess for me to clean up.

Overall a good experience building with Highland.

Building our home from another state was a concern but given our realtor and building supervisor this was a smooth process. Brian was phenomenal and when an issue occurred he was quick to coordinate the correction. This was our second home my wife and I built and because of exceptional customer service we felt very comfortable when we moved in.

Our sales manager provided useful suggestions on our new home design and floor plan enhancements. Both our sales manager and construction manager were accessible and responsive to our questions and requests during the new home building process. This builder provided several floor plan options that were attractive. Our new home building process took 7 months and I wish it hadn’t taken so long.

Highland homes has quality workmanship but it truly comes down to who your builder is (your person running the show). Some care a lot and some could care less. So after you pick your builder (Highland, Pulte, DR Horton, etc).....then you need to fully vet the guy who will be running the show and ask around.

My home was beautifully built. We love it.

Our builder, Ian was great and is still helping us. Our sales person, Dolly was amazing and did anything to help. The design center was the only part in the process that was less than satisfactory. If you work with Holly, please come with all your design ideas and make sure you ask about everything in the house. She left a lot out for us.

The best thing has been no issues (except bad thermostats which were promptly replaced by the builder) after closing. Highland builds a quality house, and they back up their work.

I had a very good experience with the entire team. Chad is very knowledgeable and will go the extra mile to help you during the process. Sean kept me updated throughout the building process. Anytime I have a question, he responds promptly. I had very good experience with the title company as well.
