Design experience was excellent, with great communication and assistance with selection of elevation, brick, flooring, and options. Great assistance with electrical/switches/outlet design by construction manager. The construction manager also did a great job keeping us up to date on progress, including frequent pictures and timelines for next steps. We had delays and selection problems due to supply chain and supplier issues with brick and flooring, so we had no choice but to reselect both several times and ended up with not getting our first, second, or even third choices. But once built, Highland was pretty responsive early on to correct the very few minor problems. It took a while to get most done due to manpower shortages and covid (still waiting on electrician) but we love the workmanship and design of our new home! The neighborhood is also awesome! ... More

The build process went very smoothly especially given that I was out-of-state and only able to visit a couple of times. I think that this was largely due to the sales counsellor, designer and construction manager. The sales counselor in particular was always reachable and responsive to requests for information, offering suggestions, and discussing/implementing changes. Mine was a Spec house and I am very happy with the designer's choices of those details that I would otherwise have had to make. Overall, the workmanship and materials are excellent - any reservations I have are pretty inconsequential. Overall a good experience despite the delays in materials. Not Highlands fault. Dealing with the design center was a bit of a cluster. Overall , would build with Highland again

We built during the pandemic. When most builders were taking shortcuts, 12+ months to build and changing contracts, Highland Homes stayed consistent with their original promise to the best of their ability. They also had great upgrades and options to choose from that made our house really stand out from others in the community. We feel like we got a quality home vs. a cookie cutter one. We had a great experience with our Highland Homes buying experience and our home. They provided transparency in the entire process, telling us what they could and could do and allowed us to be involved in every aspect of the process. They upgraded materials, as needed, without question or additional cost that resulted from the current supply chain issues, The construction manager even came out on a Saturday evening to address an issue we found during a visit to the house. We would highly recommend Highland Hames as your builder.

Pro: Blake N. our builder was tops. We had confidence and satisfaction throughout the build because he has been so helpful and responsive to us. Con: The people who put in the yard did a rotten job. It's filled with ruts, bumps and weeds. Compared to other yards around us, ours is pitiful.

Lonnie was awesome and timely. I've been very happy with the inside of the home. Landscaping/outdoor experience hasn't been great. The outside landscaping etc seems like it was hastily done.

We were fortunate enough after living in a hotel and search for homes and multiple offers to stumble across Jessica. It was the perfect storm meets the solution and she was excellent

Of all the builders we visited when choosing our retirement home, Highland provided the home layout, finish, attention and service we were looking for. Overall, a good experience.

HAD A GOOD A EXPREIENCE WITH HIGHLAND HOMES , BUT NOT WITH HIGHLAND HOME LOANS. NOT SURE IF THEY ARE THE SAME ENTITY

The quality of the home is overall very good. We do have a few concerns: very small and shallow bathroom drawers; cupboard doors don't have soft-close; no garbage/recycle spaces included in kitchen cabinetry; very bottom kitchen cabinetry difficult to access--pull out drawers would be helpful. Highland folks we have connected with have been prompt, courteous and helpful.

The experience was really good. The salesman, (Jarrod) receptionist,(Michelle) builder supervisor(Dale) and everyone was very knowledgable and kind. If there are problems that come up, they handle them with much care. Very pleased with Highland Homes!!!

We loved going through the home buying/building process with Highland. They made everything stress free and communicated with us great. I would absolutely recommend using highland if in the market for building a new home. The house turned out wonderful! Its everything we wanted.

Best experience to date. The new home sales associate was second to none.

Dean was great to work with! You could tell he wanted to make the deal work because he recognized our family needs. Our realtor and Dean came together and the result is that we are in a great home. My only negative comment was (still is) the work was messy, meaning drips of paint, sheetrock mud in the cracks of the floors and mild scratches on things like the counters/windows. But again overall we are happy with the home and have no doubt that Highland will address our concerns without any pushback. Thanks again to Cary (our realtor) and Dean for working hard to find the middle ground.
