We would highly recommend Highland Homes. They were very caring and helpful and built us a quality home.

Lonnie was awesome and timely. I've been very happy with the inside of the home. Landscaping/outdoor experience hasn't been great. The outside landscaping etc seems like it was hastily done.

Highland has been on top of things from day one. The builder kept us inform while the home was being built and any issues that arose we were promptly notified. Any questions we had were answered and verified. We tried other home builders before making a decision who to choose but Highland stood out among all others. I highly recommend this builder. We are now in our home and we love it. It is everything we asked for and more. Don’t try the rest and get the best and that is definitely Highland Homes.

Terrible experience overall. I will say, Mike with the mortgage company needs a mask and cape because he was superman. Tyler, our second Builder has done her absolute level best to correct issues we had so I would rate her 5 stars. If you end up with Eric as your builder, cancel and walk away. He doesn't care at all. He is extremely unprofessional, including having trades eating and sleeping in my home during our scheduled meeting which he was late to. You will not get a quality home if he builds it, request Tyler, she is hands and feet above him in treatment and physicall quality.

Our home is beautiful, but over priced for what you get. Highland still has not completed their final punch list of items that were to be completed prior to move in. We did not want to push our closing date as we had nowhere to go, so we went ahead and moved in. Now we have a list of unfinished items, which they promised they would come finish shortly after we moved in, but haven’t. We have reached out to the builder multiple times, no return calls, no return emails, one time he put a meeting on the calendar and we took off of work for him to no show. It’s funny how once they get their money, it’s no longer their problem anymore. Don’t get me wrong we like our home, but be prepared to chase your builder down if you want them to complete anything they “promised”. ... More

We had a great experience working with Highland Homes from our first meeting with the sales team, to follow meetings with sales/design/construction, to the day we moved in. We had very few issues during the process or since we've moved in. My only complaint and why I gave only 3 stars on "Responsiveness to issues" is that since have have moved in, we have had a very hard time getting the maintenance/construction team to respond to tickets we've had open for weeks. I believe their team is overwhelmed, and do not expect it to improve as they are starting to break ground on the next phase behind our home. ... More

The house is great. We couldn’t be more pleased.

We had a great experience with Tim our sales rep and Mike our builder. Mike still stops by till this day to make sure there isn’t anything we need with the house!

As our first homebuying experience, we could not have been more impressed with Highland Homes. From the first interaction to well after closing, we were treated with respect and given the highest level of customer service. Their Sales team and Project Manager were all very pleasant to work with and incorporated several changes to our home free of charge before closing. Thank You Highland Homes and looking forward to being a client for years to come.

It is a great neighborhood

This was a tough situation Covid and weather made things go slower than normal. On one hand they were very responsive to making upgrades, changes and things that we were paying for. We did need to rush into the house a little sooner than normal due to the lease we had expiring so there were some touch of things that needed to be done and that is acceptable. The biggest negative I have is with the yard. The sod was dormmate when it was laid down and then the weather hit. It is starting to come around but there are large patches with no grass. Second the irrigation people didn't level back out the yard and there is a valley in the back where water sits and the grass won't grow. I went and bought sod and dirt to try and fix and reached out to the builder. Someone is supposed to come address but noting so far. The one side of the house has standing water always several inches deep and needs a french drain installed. The builder said this will be addressed but still noting back. The last thing is the fact that the builders just buried trash all in the yard. I am finding pieces of wood, plastic fencing, plastic lids an inch below the surface or in the flower beds. I am afraid to pull it up because I will leave a large hole in the yard and tear up what grass I have. ... More

Highland has a stellar reputation for a reason. Our experience could not have been better, especially considering all the curveballs resulting from the pandemic.

Good experience. Wish more care was put into grading the front lawn.

This was our second time building a new home. First was with a custom home builder and second was with Highland. We had a far superior experience with Highland. Aleasha and Michael were both wonderful to work with and helped with all questions and requests along the way. We would build again with Highland if the time ever arose. Thank you!!

Great experience worked great with sales person and construction manager

Highland homes made the building process a breeze. We love our new home and are happy we chose Highland.

the craftsmanship is horrible. Now that I have been in my forever home For going on two months, I notice something new every day. If I was to ever buy a new home it will not be a highland home.

Disappointed in my home. Things are breaking, caulk is already lifted, door knobs are coming up. Overall the price I paid for this home was not worth it.

I would recommend Highland Homes to anyone looking for a new house. I could tell their goal was to build us a great home from the start, and every action through the entire process supported that goal. Questions and concerns were addressed immediately. The quality of the home is wonderful as well. Even after closing the support is great. They are happy to continue answering questions or concerns and the warranty support is top tier as well.

Robbie Salamando is exceptional at his job, follows through and always makes sure every thing is done with perfection. Jeff and Colleen were fair, honest, incredibly likable and made good on all things.

Well built home and customer service from everyone was phenomenal.

When we made the decision to move from MN to TX we knew the home buying experience was going to be a challenge but Highland and the Team made the transition as seamless as possible! We are so happy we chose to go with Highland based on the home, the community and the overall experience. From the sales team to the construction manager, no question or issue was too small. Thanks for the welcome to our new state, enjoying Harvest and our Highland home!

The sales rep was untrustworthy and the builder still has not completed our house after he said he would finish everything up the week after closing. It has been three months and we still have blue tape in our house.

Relocating from out of state meant we needed stronger and faster response on queries we had about the home, statuses, changes/modifications, etc. Buying process was difficult, too much confusion between Highlands (due to a lack of prompt communication), their chosen Title Company and our bank (a major credit union); this was quite a stressful situation on top of our relocation. Title company apparently made a last minute mistake on a closing doc, and we almost missed getting keys to the house on time. Literally had to sit in their offices until they corrected the issue, and they were close to closing for the day. Highlands takes the blame on that because they chose them to run Title; perhaps Highlands should look into a better title company. Moving in was rushed (lots of outstanding problems the day we took keys). Several warranty issues and “blue-tape items” persist even to this day, about 90 days after move-in. Highlands wouldn’t help with any repairs due to the winter storm. Ice Dam or other roofing issue caused interior leak on the house (60 days after moving in). Ice Dams could be caused by poor attic insulation, but despite this, Highlands won’t help or warranty the problem. Really poor experience given we just moved in here. I understand the severity of the winter storm, but we should not be experiencing ice dam problems or roofing issues 60 days after we took keys. Not acceptable. We intend on writing their corporate offices. For what we paid for the home, I definitely expect more. Almost 90 days living here and I still don’t have basic items (“paint kit”, etc) when buying a new home, and several issues are still outstanding warranty-wise. The one thing they did do well during construction was the additions we asked for. Those were well executed (water softener line, and other electrical). That said, it doesn’t make up for the rest of the experience we went through, and I can’t say my wife or I are happy with Highlands (quite upset overall actually).
