Quality workmanship, efficient home is related to utilities

2nd new home purchase and by far the quality of craftsmanship is unlike any other builder. From Sales to Design to Construction, the entire process was met with highest level of knowledge and professionalism. Customized to our wants and needs. Customer service was above and beyond anything we have seen before. As a RE agent who deals with many in the same field, Highland homes knocked it out of the park!

There’s a massive lack of detail with highland homes. Maybe it was just our experience though? We had three different building supervisors, I don’t know maybe they just didn’t care. I can walk into any room in my house and find a handful of things that are wrong. On top of that, there are a lot of things that just look sloppy. No attention to detail, they just threw everything up as fast as possible and there was no supervisor watching. For the amount of money we paid and the quality of work performed, not impressed.

Our home buying experience was great from beginning to end and beyond. The first interaction we had was with our salesperson (Steve) he was very friendly and professional with extensive industry knowledge. He offered many ideas and options. Home designer (Kara) was a pleasure to work with. Also our general contractor (Adam) was responsive and kept us abreast of all building phases.

This is the 4th home I have purchased. All from different builders. The overall experience has been fantastic. From start to finish I never felt like a transaction. That matters to me a lot. I highly recommend.

Building our home from another state was a concern but given our realtor and building supervisor this was a smooth process. Brian was phenomenal and when an issue occurred he was quick to coordinate the correction. This was our second home my wife and I built and because of exceptional customer service we felt very comfortable when we moved in.

Terrible experience with builder. House was not 100% completed. Warranty feels like I'm asking I'm begging. Would not recommend

Our sales manager provided useful suggestions on our new home design and floor plan enhancements. Both our sales manager and construction manager were accessible and responsive to our questions and requests during the new home building process. This builder provided several floor plan options that were attractive. Our new home building process took 7 months and I wish it hadn’t taken so long.

We bought back in July of 2020 secured the lot which was better than the timing of the home market now. One thing I will say that needs improvement are warranty tickets that need to be addressed I have about 8-10 warranty requests unanswered. I understand the market is crazy right now but at least tend to the buyers who bought the home as well. That’s all, other than that I am very pleased with the design and quality of the materials.

From the start Highland was incredible! Our sales counselor Beau was amazing! The tag team of Holly and Theresa were wonderful! And our builder Edison was thorough, attentive and responsive and answered all our questions and needs!

We had a little pause at the beginning of the pandemic. They work with our fears and allowed us to make changes to better meet or needs.

I think the quality of materials and workmanship could be improved, especially for the price point. Also there were some pretty obvious issues that were not addressed until I said something, which makes me feel like they were hoping I wouldn’t notice so they wouldn’t have to redo it. There should be a standard of excellence from the builder that contractors understand and comply with or face some kind of consequence. I felt there were too many issues that needed addressing during the walk through and afterward. Because of the price of the home, I do wish higher quality materials would’ve been used such as paint, baseboards, flooring, and faucets. Everyone at Highland Homes has been a delight to work with! This is my second home built by Highland and the quality is outstanding. We are extremely happy!

Very good overall experience in building new home

Overall happy with my new home. A few glitches dealing with the contractor, but that is to be expected.

Highland homes has quality workmanship but it truly comes down to who your builder is (your person running the show). Some care a lot and some could care less. So after you pick your builder (Highland, Pulte, DR Horton, etc).....then you need to fully vet the guy who will be running the show and ask around.

It was a pleasant experience working with the staff and the builders. The quality of Highland Homes are much better than the other homes in the development, and we are happy with our choice.

The Highland team was great. We were having difficulty selling our home and could not get into our Highland home until it sold. Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with a realtor, which greatly contributed to this issue. Highland was very understanding and flexible with allowing us additional time to get a new realtor and we were able to sell our home! As far as the builder goes, Garrett was awesome! He provided excellent communication by sending a weekly progress report on the progress of the home and promptly follow-up on any questions or concerns we had.

I had a great experience with the builder! This is my first home and all I can say is that I’m very pleased for my experience.

This was not our first new home, though it was the first time we had built from ground zero. We downsized from a (2) story highland home (new model) of which we loved, to a (1) story highland home new build. Unfortunately, the quality of the material and workmanship of our first home surpassed that of the home recently purchased. The sales team and site manager have helped us process through the building experience but the covid pandemic caused quite a few issues including having to move out the closing date twice.
