The customer service is excellent. Our whole experience with Highland Homes has been pretty smooth. Of courses we expected some little bumps in the road but whenever we reached out to our contact list they were spot on and always communicated clearly and were on time with our requests

We initially looked at Highland, shopped around but came back to them. The quality of the house is amazing and have not had one issue in the 3 months we moved. They walked us through the entire process and answered every question.

The first home we purchased here in DFW was a Highland Home. Since then, we have built with Drees, Onyx, Beazer and Megatel. Highland was the best with customer service. For this community, we chose Highland based on our past experiences. They did not disappoint! The customer service during the construction and after moving in has been outstanding! Josh K., Spencer and Josh T. Made sure all concerns were taken care of to our satisfaction! They went above and beyond! I will not hesitate recommending Highland to our friends and relatives!

The response to issues has been exceptional. Our builder representative (Chase) has made sure every concern was addressed to our satisfaction.

Mr jerrod was an outstanding professional. He made all Efforts to satisfy us. The builder representative on final survey was also very nice gentlemen and explained all aspects of our house . This is our primary home and me and my wife are very happy to be part of highland homes and inspiration community.

Not much choice on "cheap" (but not-inexpensive) light fixtures, need to add 1/4 round at base at wood floors and floor tile and not just large caulk joints. Same at the end of wall tile, there are several ways to finish off the end of tile other than large caulk joints. Overall workmanship on the house was Excellent!

Our home buying experience was great. Lisa, Rich, and Nunnie were great in getting my family into our home in Parkside.

Highland has been very responsive to our needs. We have been a little disappointed in some workmanship issues although Highland has responded to all of our requests and fixed everything we have asked to be fixed. This is the first time we have built a new home so it is possible our expectations were too high.

The buying experience was excellent, but days later after we closed started seeing a lot of issues. The biggest issue was our backyard not draining very well and started killing the grass and Highland didn’t want to do anything about it, saying they don’t warranty against puddles, but they weren’t ordinary puddles. However, they did finally fix the issue. The other major issue had to do with our glass back door. It has scratches in the glass that Highland will not fix, because it’s cosmetic. I know that we didn’t put the scratches there, it happened during the build. We missed it during our final walk through, because the builder concentrated us on the inside of the home. Highland did not due a thorough inspection. Definitely spent the money for an inspection!!!! We deserve our back door fixed because we did not do that, but they will not! ... More

It was a great experience with few errors and hiccups but resolved after the closing.

Highland Homes was really great throughout the home buying process. The quality of the workmanship in Wildridge with this homebuilder is not what we expected. We built with Highland in another community and everything was great! We expected the same experience and that didn't happen. There have been so many "issues" The "issues" are not with Highland but the Trades people Highland has chosen to use in this community. The trades people Highland uses are what have caused the "issues" . It would seem as though the "issues" we are experiencing could have been avoided if the Trades people would communicate better with the Highland People ... More

George is slow to responses and he forgets tasks. We had to remind him of things he promised to fix not once or twice and even had to inform him we would inform his boss.

The purchase experience was excellent. There have been some hiccups in getting warranty work scheduled and completed. Overall the customer service is good.

Hello, we had high expectations as to the quality of home and work it will be done to the home we bought in detail from wall caulking to door paints etc. The drain was already clogged in master. No proper inspection is done. Builder claims someone came after their inspection and dumpped some garbage so funny. I asked for report showing the master bath is inspected. The water does to the corner and stacks the board they are using is not level this is very basic to make sure to turn on the water in the shower and make sure it properly drains and doesnt stack in the corner. They clearly failed and now they want to break everything up and reopen the base and properly level it and redo the tile work on the walls and rehook up the door this is just nuisance in the middle if school year. Hello, Overall, my house is great. It's the construction around my house. Currently, two highland homes are being built by me. The construction workers are messy (leaving mud prints all over my driveway) and play loud music during evening times (after 6 pm) Please fix this.

We had a Highland Home in San Antonio from 2010 to 1018. We were extremely pleased with the builder and his attention to detail. I believe largely because of the great number of houses being built and issues with obtaining materials that in some cases cheaper materials were used, but we also had a couple of substitutions that were in higher categories as well. Highland has been responsive in working the punch list for warranty items since we moved in 9/1. All in all, we are pleased with the home, but the experience was different than our first Highland Home.

When it comes to the builder coming to my home to make repairs that they promised to do they don’t show up,

We bought back in July of 2020 secured the lot which was better than the timing of the home market now. One thing I will say that needs improvement are warranty tickets that need to be addressed I have about 8-10 warranty requests unanswered. I understand the market is crazy right now but at least tend to the buyers who bought the home as well. That’s all, other than that I am very pleased with the design and quality of the materials.

The shopping and buying experience was great but response to concerns after the sale for warranty issues is a bit discouraging to none. This overshadows everything since a new hone is a life long investment

I moved in the end of April and have put in 2 request for repairs and haven't heard back. I had a crack in the master tub when i moved in and my vanity draw has fallen out.

Our overall buying experience was good. We were thoroughly informed about our options throughout the process and our sales rep always handled himself professionally, being plenty patient with any of our inquiries. Where Highland Homes becomes “just another builder out to make a quick buck” is with the integrity that follows moving in. Every builder misses things, but we figured that given Highland Home’s reputation, things would be different when it came to home repairs. We were wrong. We have been dealing with an issue concerning one of our appliances tripping a breaker. Initially, we were told by our project manager that Highland Homes has been experiencing this due to a new code being passed. They sent an electrician and he “assessed” both the dryer and their breaker. They “swapped out” a breaker and left it at that. The dryer continues to trip the breaker and they have now pivoted to asking that we either replace a wire on an appliance that was previously working perfectly, or better yet, have that wire completely removed, making it a fire hazard. The luster of being a new homeowner via Highland Homes has quickly faded. So be warned if you expect them to live up to their word. It truly is a shame that people operate this way, especially after such a meaningful purchase, but these companies are always ultimately out to make a profit and look the other way when held accountable.
