As a first time homeowner, who decided to build, Highland Homes made the process simple and frustration-free. I am so glad to have a quality home.

Good area and neighborhood

Admittedly, I found my home when it was mostly built. But Highland Homes (and Highland Home Loans) were extremely easy to work with. They answered all my questions, and produced a high quality home that I will be proud of for years to come.

The Sales Person was a 9/10 from first impression to follow through on the zillion change orders we had was impressive. Consistent and Clear communication as well. Very pleased with our experience from that department. Construction Mgr was very friendly, accommodating on different fronts and solid communicator. Frustrations: Construction Mgr was changed after the first Pre-Con Meeting thus creating a lag in construction time for start. This put the project back 4-6 weeks which was trying for the Construction Team and stressful for us. We felt our Mgr had too many projects going at once and many things were missed, not supervised, and incomplete thus requiring numerous meetings and 're-dos'. I feel the quality of the home would be more than we received if Mgr had more time to walk our home more consistently and do QA inspections on his Teams. although we had struggles at times, I enjoyed the working relationship with the MGR and feel the MGR's priorities to make us happy are appropriate. Would recommend as a builder to friends and family

The quality of the home is overall very good. We do have a few concerns: very small and shallow bathroom drawers; cupboard doors don't have soft-close; no garbage/recycle spaces included in kitchen cabinetry; very bottom kitchen cabinetry difficult to access--pull out drawers would be helpful. Highland folks we have connected with have been prompt, courteous and helpful.

I could not begin to tell you how elated we are to have found the Highlands in Waxahachie. Kyle at the Model home was every bit of professional from day one. Watching the details of the home being built was remarkable with the craftsmanship that Highland uses. I highly recommend it, I am a mortgage broker and I see many builders come across my desk. But this one still above the rest, and that’s the reason I went with them.

Ginger was awesome walking us through the purchase of our home. Whenever we had questions, she always had the answer. Garrett did a great job building our home. His attention to detail and communication were excellent. Both Ginger and Garrett are valuable assets for Highland Homes.

The experience was really good. The salesman, (Jarrod) receptionist,(Michelle) builder supervisor(Dale) and everyone was very knowledgable and kind. If there are problems that come up, they handle them with much care. Very pleased with Highland Homes!!!

I am so happy with my Highland Home. The sales team and builder were available during the entire process and after! The energy efficiency is even better than expected.

Quality homes!

Salesman was very helpful and gave us tips to make buying easier. Assistant helped my wife pick upgrade selections. Maintenance. Supervisor checked on us to make sure we had no problems with the new house. Once the deal was signed, Highland still looked after us to make sure we were satisfied.

You typically get what you pay for but with Highland Homes, you get more! From the onset, my wife and I felt valued and never once did we feel pushed. The work was professionally done and even after closing , our builder was available if there were by fixes that needed to be made. Highland Homes stands by its product which speaks volumes about the quality of the home. We love it !

Service after the sale is poor. We’re told GE Profile appliances, many substituted by lower priced models

From day one until the day we closed Highland went above and beyond any other builder we have experienced. We LOVE our new home !! The energy efficiency items Highland used to build their homes is very evident in our utility bills!!! We will always recommend Highland Homes to our family, friends, colleagues.

The only flaw in my house, the installation isn't thick enough I can hear my kids playing or talking even though room is on the other side of the house.

Even with covid they did everything they could to make it a smooth process.

Highland homes made our first time home buying experience a breeze. Great customer service!

House quality is great but there are always some of what I would call normal things that pass through during inspection that we have to open warranty claims to get it fixed. And the response time is not ideal... Sometimes the builder will try to push you an easy solution for you to fix or take advantage of your lack of technical knowledge... Having a hard time to have the builder recognizing that my backyard mow has a lots of imperfections which my 3 yrs old son twisted his ankle due to holes between grass sods. Also there are several types of grass so the backyard grass is all colored with different types of green and grass textures as well. Had issues with backsplash installation as well... After many attempts they did it right although I had to accept few minor defects as I was already of people coming to my place after I moved in. ... More

I had a great experience with the Highland Homes team! I would definitely recommend them to all my family and friends!

First 2 weeks had good response as to items that need attention. The last 6 weeks response was good from contractors that Highland Homes contacted, but not from Highland Homes as to items that would be handled directly by Highland Homes.

My construction manager was responsive and kept me informed every step of the way. Everything progressed as they said it would.
