Zero complaints about the customer service. Everyone we interacted with during purchase and the build process was phenomenal. Our grievances are tied to the quality of materials, workmanship and the lack of QC. Our expectations were high after seeing HH’s model homes across several different communities. The house they built us definitely did not measure up to those expectations.

We are impressed and pleased with the quality of the workmanship and materials. We have had a few minor adjustments and replacements, but the responsiveness to any issues we have had has been quick and positive. Kudos to our Customer Care Representative, Steve, who is always a joy to work with and who always follows through promptly with replacements, adjustments, service, etc.

Working with Highland Homes has been such an easy process. Although we were living out of state, our construction manager sent us regular updates with pictures and made time for us to walk through the home and answer questions and concerns whenever we were in town. From the sales people to the design center, to the builders; everyone made us feel like a priority and helped create our dream home! Now, as we live in the home, we love it more and more every day. The quality and craftmanship is top notch - helping us appreciate our beautiful home even more!

Having good models but the prices are overpriced than market

Buying from Highland Homes was a very good experience . The sales person was very friendly and not trying to rush me into buying. The person that was overseeing my home to be build was friendly and very understanding and stayed in contact always.

It has been a wonderful experience working with our sales person and all ladies at the model home for 50s lot. from start to finish. From the initial construction to the final touches, the entire process exceeded our expectations. This was the fifth home that my wife and I have built. Our second home was a Highland home as well. This was the most difficult build. It took 13 months to build our home. We signed the contract in August 2023 and construction finally got started in January 2024. Although Highland has a reputation for building quality homes, this time, the workmanship and materials were just ok. Our biggest frustration was with the workmanship of the contractors. Multiple times for a contractor to come back and fix poor workmanship. Also, our builder had just too many homes to oversee resulting in things being missed, broken by other contractors, etc. We asked to close by the end of August but after meeting with the builder and sales person, they ask to extend to September 18th to give the builder time to have everything done. The week before September was a mad scramble trying to get all the contractors at the house to try and finish. We did close on the 18th but still had a lengthy list to continue to get fixed over the next 2 weeks including cabinets in the kitchen with no shelves. Now after 5 weeks of being in, our house is together and we’re happy with the house. I don’t think we’ll ever do a new build again. I will say this, our builder worked tirelessly helping us but working with sloppy contractors and too many house given to him to oversee made his task almost unbearable. ... More

Construction quality is not up to the mark. Not sure if they actually do those quality checks they say they so. You find several problems after their quality check. There were several items being worked on even after closing and have several issues still bein worked on which were reported. It also seems they treat customers differently, some get good attention and some don't. Cleanliness is not their thing... They feel some dirty items are ok when they hand over the home. They own lender company will put you on a higher interest rate even when you give counter offer you received from others. In my case the difference was 1 full percentage. They know you will still close with them for the 'incentive' and easiness of the process as they want you of delays if you go with other lender. ... More

Being a first time home buyer, I had lot of queries and was struggling to find the right fit house for my requirement and within budget. Lucky to have met with Jessica , highland sales person and she guided me to chose right home with right kind of upgrades. She was engaged through out the process and never took more than 30 mins to respond to my queries, super quick and always have intention to help me. Another lucky charm was Rob, the construction manager. Rob was superb and was very honest and transparent through out the construction phase, any issues brought to his notice was very professionally handled and resolved with full satisfaction. My husband and I had previously contracted for another builders home, but as we started b=seeing it built, we realized that the quality wasn't there. We were lucky to have found our current home right across the street from the one we were building. After one look, we cancelled our first contract and bought the Highland Home, and we are happy every day that we made this decision. The quality it great and the home is beautiful.

Home was in good shape. Just obvious things that should have been taken care of before like painting, staining, floor creaking. This would avoid a lot of back and forth with different workers fixing issues. Other than that the issues did get fixed, it just takes time and we are happy with our new home. Highland does not adhere to its quality promise in Painted Tree. The construction manager who originally worked on the house left and the new one shrugged when pointed with the issues. Everything was rushed a lot including the home orientation. Just after closing the home we started identifying issues with flooring, issues with water leakage in washer/dryer unit which damaged kitchen flooring. Lawn is not setup correctly with water not draining. Even though the customer service is good and responsive, we did not expect the issues we faced in a new construction home. Jennifer was helpful and responsive whenever we had a problem Our builder Ben was conscientious and very organized. He did everything possible to ensure that our house was ready on time. All of our issues were resolved and he was a pleasure to work with.

My first home in TX was a Highland Home. I later moved to another new build by a different builder. What a step down that was Although the new home was more expensive, the quality of the finishing left a lot to be desired. Drawers were noisy, appliances cheap, we had several warranty requests, much more than we did in our Highland home. When we started looking for a home again, our first stop was Highlands. We are very satisfied with our decision and we love our new home. Will I buy a Highland home again? Absolutely!!!

Our experience with Highland was outstanding. Alicia S. And Debbie G. were wonderful to work with. Shawn D., who is now my neighbor, was a great builder. He was very patient with me as I stopped by the build nearly everyday. He was always willing to answer any and every question. Reggie did a great job of walking us through the financing process and getting us to the finish line. Highland was great!!
