My first home in TX was a Highland Home. I later moved to another new build by a different builder. What a step down that was Although the new home was more expensive, the quality of the finishing left a lot to be desired. Drawers were noisy, appliances cheap, we had several warranty requests, much more than we did in our Highland home. When we started looking for a home again, our first stop was Highlands. We are very satisfied with our decision and we love our new home. Will I buy a Highland home again? Absolutely!!!

This is our second newly built home in Texas and our first with Highland Homes. I found the service and responsiveness to issues to be outstanding. I would recommend a Highland Home to anyone and everyone.

Our experience with Highland was outstanding. Alicia S. And Debbie G. were wonderful to work with. Shawn D., who is now my neighbor, was a great builder. He was very patient with me as I stopped by the build nearly everyday. He was always willing to answer any and every question. Reggie did a great job of walking us through the financing process and getting us to the finish line. Highland was great!!

Collin Thompson, the builder has been nothing short of amazing. When i moved in, there a few ticket items that needed to be addressed. The previous builder was dragging his feet on them. Collin swooped in and took over l and men, I can't say enough how professional, attentive, efficient and kind he was to my needs. He went way above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and in a timely fashion too. He was very flexible with my schedule. He was patient with me. He delivered 1000%. And maintained communication with me every step of the way. Thank you so much Collin for such a great experience so far. He even got his hands dirty himself for my sake. Very nice set of people that work with highland home, even when my approval was delayed, they were very patient with me. The finishing of the house is topnotch, everyone that comes to my house always ask me, who is your building? They did a great job. I will always recommend Highland home.

From the moment we visited the house for the first time, the team (Anna, Drake, etc) has been nothing but phenomenal. Prompt answers, accommodating, and ready to make our lives easier and (even more) pleasant. The quality can be seen since you set foot on a house built by them.

Its really good response and immediate action.

From my first interaction with Nelli and her team, the buying experience was better than I had ever experienced before. Nelli was patient and very knowledgeable. The help I received from Lindsay during the lending process was very professional and basically stress-free, which is unusual. Brandon and Ashley made the building of my home extremely pleasant because they were so patient, knowledgeable, an Very Responsive to any issue or question that I brought to them - and I had many questions and requests. The quality of the basic level of materials used was above what I had expected, and of course any upgrades were exceptional as well. The quality of workmanship was great in most instances, but did have to be revised in some areas, which I guess is to be expected, so overall - it was very good. I just moved back to Dallas from 15 years ago. This is my second Highland home and the quality and finish are unmatched. I moved from a 100% custom home and to find my dream house without all the extra work from custom was incredible. Highly recommend.

Generally, the buying process was quick and easy! The price of the house was in a reasonable range, although there are some unexpected surprises of paying extra for some of the developer’s own responsibilities to bring essential services to the area! In addition, I don’t expect to worry about the absence of blinds, funs and even a few of window screens are still missing! However, the properties of Highland Homes are fantastic! From the initial sales meeting all the way to 30 days after we closed, the experience was amazing. Everyone was very helpful and informative. The building process was grreat and we are very happy with our new home.

This is our second time building with Highland, and we would do it again. Our project manager, John, was wonderful to work with!

The whole process was very streamlined. Our construction manager was the best of the best! We love our house and the community.

The attention to quality control was almost impossible because of the "assembly line" process of a single construction manager trying to oversee multiple homes (15 plus in our case). The electrical work was incomplete and incompetent at times. Lack of crown molding and the use of basic base molding was dissappointing. Trash pickup in and around the house was infrequent . The choices for lighting were few, and upcharges were excessive for additional ceiling fans (should have been standard for bedrooms and porch). Too much vehicle conjestion on the narrow street. The house design and the beauty of the Mustang Lakes development is attractive, but the process of a single street being constructed simultaneously was frustrating, especially with houses only 10 feet apart. The home is beautiful, but the best time for a review is after 1 year of settling in and utilizing all aspects of the new construction. ... More
