My experience with Highland to purchase my first home has been exceptional. Debby was great and answered all my questions before I was ready to jump in and was responsive all throughout the process. Jeff was great to work with and was always available when I had questions. He and Blake were very thorough in the walk through, which was appreciated since I have never dealt with most of this before. Jeff has also been great these first few months after I moved in and has quickly fixed any issues that have popped up (all minor). Highland made the 'new home' process very easy. From the beginning, everyone involved was very responsive and available. Now that I am in the home, dealing with the warranty folks has been amazing. Again, the local supervisors are very responsive and they follow up to be sure everything is done to my satisfaction. Highland is truly a quality home-builder with top notch employees.

Overall my experience has been amazing. Love my new Home. Layne and Aaron are the best.

Terrible experience- builder was not responsive and not forthcoming on issues. First building experience and it was awful. Love the house, hated the process.

Overall, we are pleased with our new home. My wife and I do wish the cabinets were better taken care of and the house during the moving in process should have been cleaner. However, we can overlook these things thanks to Roy! He’s been very easy to work with, communicates well, goes above and beyond for us even post closing! He is professional and is always willing to help us with any questions.

The sales staff are really wonderful and helpful, especially Layne. I was under contract for well over a year before my home was completed. He was very responsive to any questions or concerns. My construction manager, Aaron is also great. He kept me updated on every stage of construction. My only complaint has been the overall sloppiness of many of the subcontractors. There were paint splatters/drips everywhere on every surface, construction debris left in the yard, landscapers installing grass and flower beds over debris and rocks, scratches on several windows, etc. Aaron is continuing to have the subs come and most of these issues are slowly getting corrected. June was amazing! We’ve had 2 other homes built by other builders and Highlands went way over and above our expectations! Every detail, every appliance is top tear! No short cuts. Nicest people and the easiest to work with!

I was so excited to have my family's home built by Highland, but the experience just got worse and worse as time passed. About 8 months into build, Highland moved the construction manager working on our home to another site and that's when everything went downhill. The new manager was not responsive to my concerns. Especially in regard to green paint being spilled and splattered all over the first floor of the home. I noticed it the week it happened and reported ASAP. It still sat for months, going ignored; it just seemed really disrespectful to the fact that this was going to be our home and they didn't care to clean it up. I understand accidents happen on construction sites, but it was as if someone took a gallon bucket of paint and threw it from across the room, at the back kitchen wall. To this day, (three months post move-in), we are still finding green paint stains in the wood flooring and on cabinets. In addition to the home completing more than 3 months late, everything wasn't completed by closing; in fact, Highland wanted to push closing because they weren't ready. The house had major issues upon closing and we had to add an addendum to the contract that held Highland responsible for finishing the items they weren't able to, before closing. In addition to this, two-weeks after closing, we had a major flood in the bathroom, which lead us to discover a leak that had been ongoing since before we took possession of the house. This lead to two-weeks of major construction of my octogenarian grandparents' portion of the home. It completely destroyed the floors, walls, etc. While Highland was responsive to the issue, they did not go above and beyond to reconcile this issue that was due to their negligence. There is blue board missing behind tile and it has already sunk-in; we continue to have issues with the irrigation leaking, although we've asked for it to be addressed several times. It's just not the experience we expected when choosing Highland. I would not recommend them as a builder to any family or friends. ... More

They are very busy and still things are yet to be fixed after a 2 month clouser, i think i paid more for the house compared to similar size build adjustment

Both our builder and sales lady were very professional and attentive to anything we needed, including responding to texts and emails. The whole process was excellent! Only issue was a bowed framing around the master shower. We expected a much higher attention to detail on the construction side.

Overall out house is good, however for the orice paid, a LOT of the finishes are very low quality. We paid over 600k for our home and as an example, our pendant lights are plastic, our door handles two months in are already coming apart. Low quality materials
