Would highly recommend Highland Homes

I purchased this HH home at the finished stage. The buying, closing and move in processes were smooth. The build quality looks good. Interior details were a bit sloppy. The appliances were “builder grade”. Jason, our project manager was responsive and took care of most issues, though he seemed to have lost steam after a while. :-) All in all a positive experience.

We had a wonderful experience with Highland Homes. While at times it was stressful, as homebuilding can be, Aaron & Layne were always quick to resolve any issues and make things right. They were both very responsive and happy to call us whenever we needed. It felt like we were building a home with family. We did feel like some of the more detailed aspects of the house were initially completed poorly but our builder made sure to have the contractors come out and fix things to a more expected level. Even after closing, both Layne and Aaron have been super responsive to any minor issues that have come up or questions that we have. We are so thankful to have built our first home with Highland! Overall, provides excellent customer service!

Easy to work with & corrected things I saw in my home that bothered me

Debbie was great! She never once pressured me into doing anything I didn’t want to do and was very responsive. Her communication is superb (even after the closing). You can tell that she is genuinely on your side and wants what you want.

When we found out my company was going remote, we immediately knew we wanted to move back to our homestate of Texas! With no geographical restrictions on where we could live, however, the propsect of finding a community and a new home was very daunting. We looked at over 100 houses across Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington and all communities therein. We are SO GLAD we found Highland Homes in the Walsh community! It was immediately apparent that the build quality was a level above the other builders we were looking at, and their whole team was friendly and responsive. Layne, our sales rep, was on call 24/7 for us and even helped us navigate the pecularities of insurance, taxes and other factors unique to Texas. The homebuying process from start to finish was stress-free and exceeded my expectations. As a first time homebuyer, I did not know what to expect thus had several questions which Highland answered swiftly and honestly. If you are like me, you will not regret purchasing a Highland Home!

From the first time we stooped to look at the model through the finalizing of our mortgage approval, Highland Homes was extremely easy to work with and highly responsive to our needs. Towards the end of the process, we needed to move our closing date up and they bent over backward to make it happen for us. We've been in our home for almost 3 months and so far it is fantastic. No major issues. The few minor things that have come up the builder has been highly responsive to and worked quickly to make it right.

Our construction manager, Ben, provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. This includes guidance on a number of upgrades that we considered, as well as, immediate repair and replacement of the very few items that were not quite right. Ben's expertise and good attitude throughout the process was greatly appreciated.

Great experience, listened to our concerns at every stage

The house is beautiful, and our builder Ben has been very responsive about taking care of some little things that need to be fixed. Overall, the workmanship is good, and my husband and I are very pleased.

The devil is in the details. There are many details that did not get addressed by the construction manager. Lawn isn’t level lots of bumps which cause low spots when mowing, wood floors have hollow spots, grout in master, pencil lines on tile, smudges on paint on the ceiling and higher areas, when appliances (back ordered) were installed the damaged the trim and the wall paint, breaker for Christmas light flips back to the middle, kitchen drawer doesn’t soft close like it should. We love everything about our new home. We loved everything about the process leading up to purchasing it as well. The only issue we had with Highland at all was their lender Beau, who worked up all of our information wrong because he admittedly was preoccupied while taking phone calls with us and it almost cost us dearly.

Great experience with the sales team.

Overall we had a great experience working with Highland Homes team here at M3. Our construction manager, Blake did a fantastic job overseeing the construction of our home from start to finish. We will continue to recommend Highland to friends and family as a reputable builder.

Our builder and sales experience have been impeccable. Both Kris (builder) and Lane (Sales) were incredibly responsive to our needs. We would absolutely recommend Highland Homes.

Many models available in HH with good quality

We love our home and especially the floor plan. We do have an issue with the low quality kitchen cabinets and countertops used in our home. Countertops easily scratch and discolor, we were told quartz was the best. The cabinet have paint peeling and when the tech came to touch them up, he used spray paint, for a home over $400,000 this is ridiculous. We do have a great relationship with our CM John.

We love our home and location. The only thing we would have liked during the build would be more attention to detail, quality control and workmanship, all of which would have been taken care of with an on site construction manager. An onsite punch list during the build with each and every contractor/crew for accountability would have alleviated most of these problems. The construction site was Always a mess compared to other builders in the area and a lot of followup work was needed during and after the finish to bring it up to acceptable.
