We love our home and location. The only thing we would have liked during the build would be more attention to detail, quality control and workmanship, all of which would have been taken care of with an on site construction manager. An onsite punch list during the build with each and every contractor/crew for accountability would have alleviated most of these problems. The construction site was Always a mess compared to other builders in the area and a lot of followup work was needed during and after the finish to bring it up to acceptable.

We were so worried about purchasing a home in the mist of Covid, but through the entire process they were safe and amazing. Though there have been things to fix in the early day of moving in, our builder has been extraordinarily. He has made our home perfect in every way. I have heard horror stories about other builders, but thankfully Highland is not on that list. They are the best!!!!!

Love our house and the process

After hearing so many good things about Highland Homes, I decided to build my first home with them. I am honestly disappointed with the quality of workmanship. I would come by every week to see what had been done and the quality of work was very poor. When something new was done, something else was broken or damaged and had to get redone, which caused further delays in the process. I feel there’s no one watching out for the contractors to ensure work is being done properly; whatever gets the job done is done even if it looks bad. Even worse is that I had to bring the visible issues to the construction manager’s attention because it seems he didn’t care. I closed with some outstanding issues that were promised to be fixed after closing and I still have more than half of the issues pending. There is no urgency by anyone to get things done for the customers. They were quick to get me through the closing process to get my $$$, but the quality was definitely lacking and made it a not so good first time home building experience. Great customer service and beautiful homes!

not the basic cookie cutter home like most. I was able to make changes to fit my "wants" and allowed to rearrange standard plans.

Debbie was great! She never once pressured me into doing anything I didn’t want to do and was very responsive. Her communication is superb (even after the closing). You can tell that she is genuinely on your side and wants what you want.

When we found out my company was going remote, we immediately knew we wanted to move back to our homestate of Texas! With no geographical restrictions on where we could live, however, the propsect of finding a community and a new home was very daunting. We looked at over 100 houses across Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas, Arlington and all communities therein. We are SO GLAD we found Highland Homes in the Walsh community! It was immediately apparent that the build quality was a level above the other builders we were looking at, and their whole team was friendly and responsive. Layne, our sales rep, was on call 24/7 for us and even helped us navigate the pecularities of insurance, taxes and other factors unique to Texas. The homebuying process from start to finish was stress-free and exceeded my expectations. As a first time homebuyer, I did not know what to expect thus had several questions which Highland answered swiftly and honestly. If you are like me, you will not regret purchasing a Highland Home!

I work in the homebuilding industry and I am pleasently surprised with how well my Highland Home was built/executed during the construction process and even after moving in. 100% reccomend based on quality.

Jason was awesome, and highland gave us everything we expected. I have neighbors using the other builders, and I've heard a lot of common problems that we didn't have with highland. I found Highland to always be proactive, and we didn't have anything that didn't go as planned.

Super and Sales team communicated well amongst themselves, and with my Wife and I, making for an easy build. Superintendent was very thorough and responsive after move in date with the minor things that needed adjusting.

Highland was very responsive when we had an issue needing repair. They followed up to ensure the problem was resolved.

We love our highland home! The first builder project manager we had did not send updates and we didn’t feel included in the building process. We had several glitches through the finance and closing processes with document recording, closing dollar amount, holding keys at closing over $50 that was a quality review issue on the title and finance side and last minute upgrades that had to be installed. When Jesse came in and took over near closing he has treated us not only fairly but has gone above and beyond to ensure everything in our home is satisfactory for us. Our experience with Highland Homes was delightful from beginning to end. Everyone (Debby, Xavier, Beau) went above and beyond to make the home building and buying process amazing and not stressful at all. We did not feel like customers, we felt like family. We are so happy we chose Highland Homes and the beautiful Wellington community to build our home.

As with anything there will be issues. Highland does go above and beyond to make sure that you, the customer is satisfied and happy with your purchase. Can’t say that about too many other builders.

From the first time we stooped to look at the model through the finalizing of our mortgage approval, Highland Homes was extremely easy to work with and highly responsive to our needs. Towards the end of the process, we needed to move our closing date up and they bent over backward to make it happen for us. We've been in our home for almost 3 months and so far it is fantastic. No major issues. The few minor things that have come up the builder has been highly responsive to and worked quickly to make it right.
