Timing was great. There were several small items that were not complete at closing that we are still waiting on: peep hole, paint touch up, etc. While we appreciate the design center not up selling, there are a few things we would have gladly added: too coat of paint to the walls. We are quite disappointed in the quality of the paint/ texture. It is impossible to clean without scratching the paint or chipping the texture. We have never experienced this and feel it is a big miss from the designers. We would also have put a top coat on our floors if we had known the option was there. We ...

From loan application to actual purchase has been the best home buying experience I've ever had. Quality construction, finish work, and efficiency. Customer service outstanding and very responsive. The few minor issues I had after move in were quickly resolved. I will enjoy my new Highland home for many years and it was a worthwhile investment.

Highland Homes are an Excellent Choice in Ownership

I rated the quality of workmanship as 4 of 5 stars because no home is PERFECT when one moves in. There were small things we found after living in the house for a few weeks, but that has been our experience with six other homes over the years. Having said that, the value of the home is fine and meets today's standards. The trustworthiness in building the home and the responsiveness to the issues discovered are excellent. The foreman who built the home is incredibly responsive to any issue discovered and is wonderful to work with. The sales, contracts, and all other agencies as part of the ...

The devil is in the details. There are many details that did not get addressed by the construction manager. Lawn isn’t level lots of bumps which cause low spots when mowing, wood floors have hollow spots, grout in master, pencil lines on tile, smudges on paint on the ceiling and higher areas, when appliances (back ordered) were installed the damaged the trim and the wall paint, breaker for Christmas light flips back to the middle, kitchen drawer doesn’t soft close like it should. After reading the reviews for highland I was excited to build with them but I am a little disappointed in the ...

We love everything about our new home. We loved everything about the process leading up to purchasing it as well. The only issue we had with Highland at all was their lender Beau, who worked up all of our information wrong because he admittedly was preoccupied while taking phone calls with us and it almost cost us dearly.

The Builders respect, attention and care was a great experience during and after the build

We love our home and location. The only thing we would have liked during the build would be more attention to detail, quality control and workmanship, all of which would have been taken care of with an on site construction manager. An onsite punch list during the build with each and every contractor/crew for accountability would have alleviated most of these problems. The construction site was Always a mess compared to other builders in the area and a lot of followup work was needed during and after the finish to bring it up to acceptable.

Highland Homes - We love our highland home!

We love our highland home! The first builder project manager we had did not send updates and we didn’t feel included in the building process. We had several glitches through the finance and closing processes with document recording, closing dollar amount, holding keys at closing over $50 that was a quality review issue on the title and finance side and last minute upgrades that had to be installed. When Jesse came in and took over near closing he has treated us not only fairly but has gone above and beyond to ensure everything in our home is satisfactory for us. Jesse was patient, fair, ...

Thank you for bringing this to our attention and I am very happy to hear that Jesse turned around your experience! Please let our team know if there is any additional way that we can be of service and thank you for being a Highland Homeowner! ...

Quick construction causes a few lapses in attention to detail but overall very well-built and much nicer than what competitors offer. Upgrades are pricy but the whole process was made easy by our construction manager and sales team. Will likely use highland again in the future.

The Highland employees are very friendly and helpful. Building a new home Is a very complex process, so be sure to document everything and try to be as involved during the construction process, as possible. We are not pleased with the masonry sub-contractor but understand they have since replaced them. Highland also appears to be genuinely concerned about taking care of any warranty issues. Overall it was a fun and exciting experience. We love our new home and recommend Highland Homes.

Great Staff and overall Build Out - but more is to be desired.

The Highland Homes sales and construction staff make this builder pleasant overall, which is why I gave it a higher "star" rating. The staff is incredibly responsive and wants to make things right and on time. My only disappointments are with the finish-out selections in some areas throughout the townhome, which are subpar and could be brought up a notch without hurting the bottom line. There simply in no excuse for some the cheap choices. For Example the dome lights in the bedrooms. These are so incredibly cheap, ugly and frankly insulting. But I will leave it at that. I am a pleased but I ...

As first-time home buyers, our journey with Highland Homes has been a relatively positive experience overall.
