I’ve sold quite a few Highland Homes and when the time came to get our new home we knew exactly what builder we wanted. And HH did not disappoint. Great team all around!

Gay Lynne our sales associate was fantastic. Micheal S was our gc/ builder and he was fantastic as well. Overall experience was above expectations.

We loved that highland had more options to customize our home compared to other builders.

The follow up and follow through by David and his team were excellent. To date, I have no issues.

Everyone we worked with at Highland Homes in Bridgeland was very easy to talk to and work with. They were very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in what we had to say. I wasn’t looking forward to the building process, but they all made it much better than I thought it would be. Our builder made a big difference. He was great to work with, easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The one area I wish we could have had some input, was the landscaping. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH HIGHLAND HOME.

My salesman Hector was fantastic and very easy to work with. I would go as far as to say, if wasn’t for him, I don’t think I would have gone through with the build. The design center person wasn't very helpful. She was not aware of the costs of most choices and or upgrades which made it very difficult make choices and trying to stay within a budget when we are only allowed a certain amount of to me in the design center. The choices are limited. Our particular floor plan, we weren’t allowed to do similar features like waterfall edge on the counter tops or a decorative hood vent in the kitchen. If I had known that from the beginning I might not have bought the home. 600k plus home and I have an apartment looking hood vent. Most items in the design center are extremely overpriced. 7-8k for moen black faucets and fixtures in 2500 sqft is massively overpriced. Most items in the design studio are just as overpriced. I easily overpaid for the house by about 75k. Spending nearly 150k over the base price (even with the builder incentives) was definitely not part of my thought process going into the build. The builders lender appraised at purchase price to approve the loan, but I’m not so sure it would sell for what I purchased it for. I don’t ultimately ever plan to move so I’m content with the house, but think there were things that could have been done to increase the transparency. In the end the quality is decent and the cost is over priced. I don’t feel like I will have quality issues like with some other builders so that does give me peace of mind. The best part about the house is the layout. One of the best layouts I have seen in any model regardless of price. Also, the tall ceilings standard was a really nice touch. ... More

My experience was very easy. I signed, went to the design center and before I knew it I moved in! The communication was very good throughout the entire process.

We had a great experience with Highland. They helped us get the house with everything we were looking for, they were very friendly, open, they gave us options and the quality is exceptional

The home looks great, but the functionality is not there. Sound travels from the guest bath all the way to the master bedroom. The light switches are minimal and placed oddly. The air conditioner blows super loud. They installed a used dishwasher. The interior paint is the cheapest quality I've ever seen and scuffs at the slightest touch. The cabinets are not adjustable. The master closet was only designed for hanging everything, which no one does. The master bath doesn't have a place to hang towels near the shower. Little things that make a house feel like a home are not there with this model. Also, the construction manager told us to reach out, but does not respond. The house just feels like it was a rush job. We love the neighborhood, but would probably look for a different builder next time. ... More

Excellent support has been provided for early closing of the house and scheduling of all repair works. All identified items were addressed exceeding our expectations.

Highland Homes was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They were always professional and yet personable knowing it was my future home they were constructing. I found the construction managers to honest to the highest degree and were always attuned to my concerns and issues. Regular contact and updates as to the construction status was greatly appreciated, as I was living out of state prior to my move. The quality of construction is exceptional and clearly superior to other builders in this same community. I highly recommend Highland Homes.

Everything was great, both Denise and Nick were great. Home is spaced and functions as expected. I appreciate the build quality and workmanship. The house was expensive, but what isn't these days?

We embarked on a journey with Highland Homes as our semi-custom builder for our first home; we had selected them due to all the positive reviews online, and we wanted to see it first-hand for ourselves. The experience didn't disappoint - we had a fantastic sales counselor (Traci) and a phenomenal construction manager (Neil). Traci was open, honest, and easy to work with during the contracting phase, and Highland Homes offered a competitive package (incentives, interest buy down, etc.). We understood what we were getting when we signed the contract. The design selection phase also went smoothly - the designer (Deborah) was super helpful, has a keen eye on style, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. The construction phase was also relatively smooth. The construction manager (Neil) was on top of things and always quickly addressed our concerns. We had a weekly call with the construction manager, and were able to understand where we were on the build process, and what type of challenges were ahead of us. The build went slightly past the scheduled date, but still within our move-in timeframe. Highland Homes was accommodating and made sure the build process met the date that we needed to move-in by. Overall, the quality of construction was pretty good. Of course, you can never control the crafts 100%, so sometimes you'll get the lousy craftsman, but Neil would always address it and get it fixed quickly. Fantastic management by Neil. Lastly, after move-in, we had punch-list items that needed to be completed after closing on the house. They were all relatively minor and have been resolved to our satisfaction.
