Overall the buying experience was great! Customer service from the sales office and building manager was great . I just subjects to Highland is that you pour your driveway last. As I ride around the neighborhood you can notice the difference between Highland and Perry homes . Perry home has clean finished driveways and Highlands driveways are different colors and patched. Perry pours their driveways after the home is built and I think that what makes a difference.

Highland Homes has always been my favorite builder and I knew that if I ever bought a new home, it would be a Highland Home. The best part of my experience was dealing with the incredible staff in The Groves (Walter, Haley, Ron & Gwen). Each of these individuals ensured my needs were met and they went out of their way to make adjustments to the home to suit my needs. I bought the house in the final phases of construction, so I didn't have input as the house was being built. This incredible team was quite flexible when it came to accommodating modifications to the home, upon my requests. I feel that for the price of the home, gutters should be included. I have worked with other home builders previously and felt like I was in a battle with them. Working with Highland was a relief from that. My sales agent was knowledgeable about the homes and features and helped me find what I wanted instead of pushing me into a more expensive home. My construction manager walked the home every day during the construction process and held the contractors accountable for mistakes. I walked the home often and when I saw corrections that needed to be made, he made sure they were taken care of. Highland earned my trust and made sure my home was built well. Giovanni was great and met all our needs. He really went out of his way to make sure we were takeN care of.

Builder was easy to work with and you were allowed to make changes (to add or delete) to the existing floor plan within reason.

We love our floor plan and the high ceilings and quality of workmanship that Highland offers. We loved our sales person and project manager who were with us the whole time our house was being built . They were very responsive in fixing the few issues we had after closing.

First time building a home and glad we did it with Highland. Jeff and Judy were easy to work with in the office and Bryan was and continues to be responsive with our home. The materials were excellent so far and workmanship was good, any issues I had were quickly addressed. Nothing is ever perfect and they will fix anything which is not up to standard. There are a few things I wish I could have added or changed, but those are minor compared to what I got. Highland Homes provided great service during and after the sale. The usual issues that arise in a new home build were addressed promptly. Mostly the quality of people we worked with we’re just excellent. Would certainly recommend to a friend.

I would like to compliment Chris our CM for an amazing job and personality. He made us feel very Comfortable. He did an outstanding job in a timely manner and I’m grateful that he built our house. His bedside manner was incredible. In the end Highland is lucky to have Chris as an employee.

The home buying process was great. This is my first new home in 20 years. We heard stories from others about difficulties with their new homes and the buying process. So, we expected the some difficulties. Highland Homes was great. The construction manager gave a thorough walk through and all items were addressed quickly. I have already given recommendations to friends and family to buy from Highland Homes

There were some minor cosmetic issues that were addressed quickly. Awesome team to work with.

My salesman Hector was fantastic and very easy to work with. I would go as far as to say, if wasn’t for him, I don’t think I would have gone through with the build. The design center person wasn't very helpful. She was not aware of the costs of most choices and or upgrades which made it very difficult make choices and trying to stay within a budget when we are only allowed a certain amount of to me in the design center. The choices are limited. Our particular floor plan, we weren’t allowed to do similar features like waterfall edge on the counter tops or a decorative hood vent in the kitchen. If I had known that from the beginning I might not have bought the home. 600k plus home and I have an apartment looking hood vent. Most items in the design center are extremely overpriced. 7-8k for moen black faucets and fixtures in 2500 sqft is massively overpriced. Most items in the design studio are just as overpriced. I easily overpaid for the house by about 75k. Spending nearly 150k over the base price (even with the builder incentives) was definitely not part of my thought process going into the build. The builders lender appraised at purchase price to approve the loan, but I’m not so sure it would sell for what I purchased it for. I don’t ultimately ever plan to move so I’m content with the house, but think there were things that could have been done to increase the transparency. In the end the quality is decent and the cost is over priced. I don’t feel like I will have quality issues like with some other builders so that does give me peace of mind. The best part about the house is the layout. One of the best layouts I have seen in any model regardless of price. Also, the tall ceilings standard was a really nice touch. ... More

Buying experience excellent but too many amenities were upgrades. Superintendent not as attentive once you’ve gone to closing. No real follow through.

Overall they are very good, a pleasure to deal with. Afer purchasing the house, we've found some materials that lack quality, small items, but they should pay mor attention to those details
