Excellent experience. I have only had minor issues since moving in and they have all been resolved very quickly. Definitely looking forward to a second Highland home to invest in.

I have had a overall positive new home building experience with Highland Homes from exploring home models, lot selection, design, build, pre close walk through, and warranty process.

After we closed we were treated like enemies. Once in our new home we find the quality of workmanship very poor, having to touch up most of the staircase and wood work.

Overall great design and high quality but there have been a few issues that have come up. Most have been resolved in a professional and timely manner or hopefully will be soon. One outstanding item that we discovered was an issue with the property line and placement of the retaining wall and fence. Unfortunately, Highland was made aware of the issue but never brought it to our attention. We actually discovered the issue while hiring a pool company and a company to install and whole house generator. I brought this up with Highland management three weeks ago and am still waiting for resolution or a plan for resolution. With how tight the lots are it is a material issue for us, but we are hopeful that Highland will resolve the issue soon so we can continue to get the work done and enjoy our beautiful new home. So house was extremely rushed went through a ton of repairs and touch ups to cabinets. Island needed replacement panels and work was not finished product.. Very poorly constructed but very pricy

What a great experience with our new home purchase from Highland Homes. Hunter was so helpful in the purchase process, Giovani and Andres, were excellent in our walk-through and any with any follow up items. We could not be happier with our purchase!

I had an awesome time working with Highland Homes. Out of all the homes in Sunterra, Highland stands out the most. I am very happy with my home.

Good experience. Project manager was great. He was and still remains very responsive to any inquiries. I have enjoyed my purchase, other than one event, which was not the fault of the builders.

It went very smooth, they accommodated and earlier closing and were prompt when reached with questions.

We were moving from out-of-state and purchased the house without any in-person tours. The team checked on us many times throughout the process to make sure we were kept in the loop and aware of everything happening. When we showed up, everything in the house was exactly as promised and the team made sure we moved in smoothly.

The house was perfect based on our first visit and finally we bought the house. Unfortunately, we signed the documents with many pending issues to fix and has been an mess to get everything done. At this moment (after 2 months we bought) we still have some issues pending to fix and I do not going to call you guys any more. I will fix everything from my pocket and I will send you the bill. I know you guys are not going to pay me but this is my house and investment.

The salesman was great . But I’m disappointed in the price of the house and the material that was used for the price of the home i feel Rob because everything in the home is cheap from the mds molding that looks like he goes in a cheap apartment not a 900k home

I was so excited to build a Highland Home. Having lived in the birthplace of Highland Homes and seeing their style of home all over, it was a no brainer when I saw they built in the Houston area also. From start to finish, it was a headache. Now that I’m in the home, there’s issues every day and I’ve experienced bad attitudes from staff or no response at all. I am at the point of tip toeing around my house in fear of something else breaking and even worse anxiety when I think about guests coming and something falling apart of not operating. Overall good experience. Did have many issues with trades but Highland rectified.

It was not an easy process given the nature of the market. Denise was supportive and attentive every step of the way. In addition to that, everyone that worked with us was supportive-we are grateful, and happy with our purchase.

I think the fit and finish in the home is sub par. Some stuff seems to be put together very careless. In all honestly I would consider another home builder when I buy another home in the next month or 2.

Poor quality - I guess this must be acceptable and normal for Houston quality level , and Highland is doing good based on the Houston quality level measurements. But if you want to compare it with somewhere else (my case Canada), way poor quality specially in finial finishing , touching , cleanness ...

Overall the actual homebuying was low average--i.e. responsiveness to issues-after moving in -they seemed to not be able to control very loud music of their workers-this is ongoing and detracts from the overall experience-it also interferes with our ability to do our work at home.

Hayley, Cheryl, and Dalton were AMAZING! They are the reason we went with Highland. Dalton continues to check in with us and he's been very responsive to anything we have questions about. This has been our most positive home building/buying experience to date!

From start to finish, the process was extremely smooth. The professionalism from the sales office, construction manager, and lender was absolutely outstanding. After moving in, I had a few minor warranty requests and the responsiveness to the issues were impressive and very much appreciated. I couldn't have chosen a better builder and would be the only one I would recommend in the entire development.
