Excellent experience, would definitely recommend it to others

Highland Homes are beautiful! I love the open concept floor plan and high ceilings of my single story home. The staff is easy to work with and answered all of my questions. I moved from another state and was able to sign most of my documents online which was helpful.

The 40 ft lot is just too small. The house needs just a few feet more width for the rooms to not be awkward sized. The garages are very small. There are a lot of nice features as well. Builders is very responsive to warranty requests.

My experience with my new home is good and could be better if the list of pending items are not so high! When I bought the house, the seller mentioned the inspection process and every item that was not in accordance with my expectation would be fixed. I walked through the house, and we found lots of items that needed to be fixed and unfortunately lots of the items were not solved and even after 1 month, we still have items to be fixed. My second point is related to house cleaning. The carpets, garage and attic were very dirty with dust, and material left behind by the crew. My expectation is that I will receive the house cleaned. One of my frustrations is regarding the sprinklers, because when I bought it, it was mentioned that I could manage the sprinklers through the app on my phone, however it was not mentioned that I need to buy the network card. It was set an expectation and when I wanted to see working, it was communicated that I needed to buy a card to see working, so the expectation that was set created a feeling of frustration and disappointment. My last comment is related to the good Job that Andres is doing to fix all pending items that I have to work on my house. My only suggestion is Hinghlands implement an inspection process with superior quality because some of the rework can be minimized and overall client satisfaction will be better. ... More

Salesperson Jay was great and very helpful as we looked at inventory homes and decided to buy one. Builder Jimmy was unbelievably awesome in responding to all the final touches and requests that needed to be done to complete the house; he was very attentive and came through on every request (some took longer than others, with final items finishing 3 months after closing, but we were informed why, in the context of each delay that occurred). We are generally very impressed with the workmanship on our Highland Home! Great job and thank you!

Going in as first time home buyers can be very stressful, but the Highland Staff eased the process for us. From start to finish the Highland Homes Team was amazing, attentive, responsive, and professional. We had a great experience. Highly recommend!

The process was long (it took 10 months to build our house), but I feel that was mostly supply chain delays. I didn’t enjoy the design/upgrade selection process as there seemed to be little knowledge about what things would cost, and the upgrade options were selected over a couple month period, so it was difficult to know what our options were or whether what we selected first would still be in our budget when we were offered other selections later. We had some delays in the process and despite our best efforts, we struggled to get regular updates. We asked for a weekly progress update, but instead, we only got an update when we asked. It was eventually determined that the poor communication came from our project manager/super and we asked to have him replaced. We were very happy with the process and communication after that, and it led to a much smoother process. The fact the builder was so willing to change the super for me showed me they cared enough to ensure we had a positive experience. For that, I’m grateful and appreciative. ... More

It wasn’t a pleasant experience we were told constantly about the highland touch we came every 2 weeks to see progress and any issues. We sent pictures emails alot of issues weren’t addressed properly. When we closed we still had several issues and we were told they’d be taken care of 4 months later still all issues not resolved we were the last house painted by the crew that was fired. In the last 4 months we have had a multitude of contractors in and out of our home ( if they show up ) Still going through issues. We purchased a Highland home in less than a month with Jack and Colin in Veranda. Jack was extremely friendly and helped us with financing our home. Colin was phenomenal from start to closing on our home as well. We did three walk throughs at my request and Colin was extremely friendly and took care of all requests. Even now that we have closed he is still a great point person for all questions & needs. Both Colin and Jack get 10 stars from our family & we would definitely buy another Highland home!

We love our new home. Highland soes not just build houses. They build homes. We receive a lot of compliments on its style, location, and features. The process ran right on time, actually we closed a week early! Everyone was great! Brad and his team with sales, Mike with building management, Highland’s financing and closing made it very easy. They were always responsive and fun to work with. Nothing ever goes 100 perfectly, but they respond and get the situation resolved. I highly recommend Highland Homes!

I relocated here from Denver, Colorado. I did research on the area where I wanted to live and contacted the sales team at Highland. They were awesome! The sent me information on the home as well as data about the area. Excellent assistance and communications! They also did a virtual home tour for me with they phone while I was in Colorado which help me decide on my home purchase.

The look and build of house looks great, but the fixes that need to be adressed are still been worked on from last 2 months

We have had numerous issues with the warranty work being completed, in addition to issues that have had contractors sent out needing multiple repeat visits (4-5). Eve after those repeat visits fixes still haven't been made. We have contractors showing up at out house at all random hours without notification which seems odd that they would just show up without being scheduled. However, the builder says "I didn't schedule them". The additional "supervisors" he sends to supervise the contractors don't even actually supervise or observe. There has been a huge disconnect in follow up and communication. I am very disappointed and had hoped this experience would prove better. We still continue to have constantly put in for work to be done on at least a weekly basis. Seems to me it's also a waste of money highlands part to not just get the job done right the first or second time. ... More

Really pretty house overall. Some issues when closing on the house but Highland seems pretty reliable in fixing these issues so far. A buddy of mine used Drees and he is struggling to get them to fix the problems that he is having. Thankfully, thus far, it has been the opposite for us.

Overall our house is beautiful. Several issues that i need to mention. Building it took a year to finish( delays due to HOA not approving our choices of exterior color of bricks). Safety issues during the actual building of the house such as sheet racks not properly piled and nails lying on the floors. Upon moving in several bathtub faucets are loose and one was actually leaking. Wirings for internet was not working ( was spliced during construction). Doorbell was put to low for cameras to be installed and wires were knicked and touching each other that apparently caused chime box to short circuit and almost causing a fire. Cracks on both 1 car and 2 car garages seem to getting bigger. Home pro security key pad not sensing all the sensors in the house 1 day after it was installed so as of this time we have no security alarm when doors and windows are opened and it takes 1 month to schedule repairs .Jim has been very receptive to all of these issues but for the price of the house most of these issues should not happen in my opinion. The entire process with the builder was amazing. From receiving a recommendation direct from Viktoria C. to working directly with Tony N. Harrison K. the Project Manager was very knowledgeable through the construction process. He had a high level of professionalism. He responded to my phone calls and emails in a prompt manner. Harrison also made sure that all of my questions and concerns were handled with the best solutions within a timely manner. The Sales Team members were kind, humble and very patient with me during the entire process. Pedro L. was amazing with great knowledge of the Model Homes along with the highlights of the neighborhood. Tony N. I decided to build with Highland Homes in Katy TX and am so glad I chose them. Everyone I encountered/ worked with went above and beyond to meet or exceed every request/ expectation. They were all kind, knowledgeable, responsive, kept me informed for every step of the process, and provided customer service that I thought was extinct. My house is perfect in every way, and any hiccups (which have been very minimal) have been addressed within or under 24hrs. Todd (in charge of my build) went out of his way to make my dream home a reality including requests I figured would be a long shot, which made a huge impact for me. With what I’m hearing from neighbors that went with other builders I hit the jackpot, so I’d definitely highly recommend them. We decided to build with Highland because of the option to customize. Denise our sales rep was informative and thorough. Jim was our builder and he was truly a class act. I was so pleased with his responsiveness and his delivery of a great product. I love my home. We really built our forever home with Highland.

Working with the highland team was seamless. Excellent communication with Daniel and Jack. Any questions I had Daniel was quick to respond. I’m so glad I went with highland and will recommend them to family and friends who are looking for their next home.

I felt the response time in addressing some issues were very slow and some of the workmanship left a lot to be desired installing damaged goods are just not acceptable

I purchased an inventory home. The purchasing experience was great, smooth sailing and closed on time. The sales representative and finance team were very responsive and courteous. The minor problems were readily addressed by the Quality Management team.

Hayley, our sales consultant, was earnest, sincere and helpful in answering all of our questions. This was our fourth house that we have bought. Hayley is by far the best sales consultant of the bunch. Dalton, our construction mgr, has been extremely honest and helpful in addressing any questions that we bring to his attention. Highland representatives have been great....and our house is well built and should last for years. Thanks Highland Homes!
