It was a great experience and the builder/construction manager were great!

We were very lucky to have one of the very best sales counselor, kudos to Kim. The building experience was somewhat disappointing mainly for two reasons: 1. we feel the builder had some sense of urgency to close 2. which promoted a lack of supervision in the quality of the finishes. Nevertheless, their response to warranty claims (many of which could easily be avoided with good supervision before closing), has been outstanding.

Was a good experience.. Maybe to be more clear on the process for those that do not have experience (it is our first house)

Overall a great experience with building. Construction manager was on top of most things and good build out. With the rush towards the end we didn’t get the full ready to move in experience. We still have a few things that need to be worked on.

This was our second Highland Home and the fit and finishes inside where not done as well as our previous home. We were not allowed to change much of anything in reference to colors and options. There was also a lot of trim and paint problems such as doors and drawers not fitting and closing as they should and fitting was off in numerous places. You expect better quality for the price point.

Our project manager, Keith, was very good. Very responsive. Our sales people, CeCe and Fran, were also very good and helpful.

Overall I am happy, however there are things that we are noticing now that we have lived in this house for one month that are disappointing. Corners cut and sloppy jobs make for cautious recommendations from my side.

Overall, we had a good homebuying experience. Unfortunately some of the workmanship was sloppy and not attentive to detail and involved a lot of fixes after the fact (e.g. all electrical switches and caps covered in paint, caulking issues, lot of spaces missing paint, uneven flooring, stair balusters covered in spray paint, trims around door and windows unevenly cut, protruding nails throughout the house, concrete in front of house is full of cracks and chips, empty space left between caps and pipes). My friend's Highland Homes did not have this many issues. We do recognize that Highland Homes has been coming out and fixing some of the issues. Colin was the most attentive builder I have worked with. The home was built in timely fashion, with minor issues along the way.

Great experience with Anita and Jarred. Jarred was quick to address and fix and issues or concerns we had.

He is overextended with too many homes but he does a great job with the time he has

The building manager, Giovani, was wonderful with the home building process. He was accessible, knowledgeable, open minded, flexible and helpful. He made the home building process not just easy, but fun for us as buyers. He addressed our concerns quickly and educated us about many things along the way. The suggestions and recommendations he made were things we are really grateful for after we moved in.

Quality builder. responsive. trustworthy people.

During my walk through, I had addressed a few issues as well as poor paint job. The subcontractors removed the tape and did not address most of the issues. Now due to COVID I can’t get the subcontractors to come back and address the issues that should’ve been taken care of before closing.

Overall, my experience was good. I decided to use an outside vendor for one of my walls to add collapsible doors and I wasn't able to install the doors before I closed, which would have been helpful for me as I had to pay to demo a brick wall which was 3-4K.

Love the home, but due to COVID, they took very long to come and fix a few issues with our home. Still waiting on things that haven’t been taken care of.

Very pleased with our home. Very comfortable and satisfied. Surprised there were no spouting on rear roof over patio. That should not be an option; it is as essential as spouting on front roof.

We were 8 hours away while house was being built. Salesman keep us in the loop and was very easy to get in touch with. We were disappointed in the standard choices at the design center and had to upgrade just about everything. House was completed exactly on schedule. Some things that you would think would be standard were upgrades. Such as ethernet drops in office and entertainment room, coach lights on front of house, different color paint, under cabinet lighting, ceiling fans in all rooms. to many things were undocumented about the community for us being one of the early buyers that became concerning (power poles, location of mail boxes, timing for amenities) . the amount of time allowed in the design center was not enough if you want to review materials outside the "free" selections. the construction process is very wasteful and reactive - fixing things at the end versus at the time of the installment to avoid noticeable patch work. The sales team support and closing process was great and easy. the construction checkpoints and walkthroughs were very helpful. we had a few items carry over items after close and ALL of the items were addressed promptly ... Overall, I’m happy with certain aspects of my new home, particularly the great location and the beautiful natural lighting throughout the space. The second floor has a well-thought-out layout and feels very comfortable and functional. However, there are areas that could have been better. The first floor feels too crowded, with limited space in the family and dining areas. The design leaves little flexibility for arranging furniture, which I found disappointing. I also experienced some frustration during the buying process. The sales representative was not very friendly and, when a mistake was made with the carpet installation, her response was dismissive. She said the incorrect carpet “looked better,” even though I had carefully chosen the original color and was not seeking her opinion. Additionally, I noticed poor workmanship in several places, especially with the cabinet and kitchen island installation. There were also multiple dings and imperfections on materials like baseboards that should have been addressed prior to move-in. While I appreciate many things about my home, I hope future buyers can benefit from improvements in both customer service and attention to detail during the build and finishing stages. ... More

I had to stay on them bringing build and do some stuff myself. Like making sure everything was sealed inside and out.weather siding people kept missing the stud pulse would holes in weather siding that weren’t sealed.Dont thing I have a straight wall in whole house.

Not very happy with the selection at the Design Center.

We decided to buy another Highland Home because we loved our first Highland Home. The second Highland Home we purchased was a model home. It is very nice but it seems some of the workmanship isn’t as great as our first home. I was also not impressed with Mr Cason’s attitude when doing our walk through. Apparently, the sales person Brad left out that when you buy a model home it sells as is, this was very disappointing since this wasn’t told to us until the day before closing. We still like our home and have been fixing/repairing the few items that Highland said are not covered. Lastly, there was a mural in one of the bedroom walls and Highland accidentally had it painted over due to some miscommunication, this was very disappointing and Mr. Cason didn’t seem to care. There is no doubt that I would buy another Highland Home, but probably not a model home. ... More
