Love our home! Picking out what we wanted in our home to make it perfect for us was great! We had a lot of issues with Highlands responsiveness to our concerns. Initially they were super responsive. Then it felt like like since we were so far into the process our concerns were no longer important. Our house was incomplete on closing day. For a couple of weeks after closing and moving in we had contractors in and out of our house to finish up the home. Now that everything is done we are loving creating memories here

the previous builder was not a good for taking care of problem. always give some excuse .Now I HAVE A NEW BUILDER his name Jim . He is very good .I give him 5 stars . I was so unhappy when I closed my home. It was unfinished and messy work. NOW Jim taking care of it.Thanks

Do not close on your home until it can pass the final walk through. No one wants to take responsibility for the many mistakes that were made. I was told the things that are wrong is how things have been done for the past 5 yrs. Very sloppy work. I will never buy a Highland Home again.

They provided exceptional customer service in every aspect from purchasing, building and warranty.

The CHEAPEST labor and materials are used but they Charge you a premium. They gave us an incomplete home stating everything would be done prior to close. Instead they rely on the warranty and that takes months to complete. So instead of enjoying a new home, you are dealing with the incompetency of the builders and the terrible contractors they use for months on end. Joseph and Giovanni give you a ton of attitude if you point things out that are done with poor quality, not done at all or done incorrectly. I could keep going but won’t. Bottom line...STAY AWAY!

From picking the model and lot all personnel have been wonderful. Their willingness to listen to my wishes and advice me on different things I may be leaving out was very important to me.

Overall excellent buying experience! Christy Chumbley did an outstanding job as our sales counselor. She was very helpful! Karen Fletcher in the design center was terrific also. She knew what she was doing it helped us make good choices. And Matt Barbera didn’t excellent job as our builder. He also was very responsive to any issues that we had.

I would just make sure to details. After a month being in our home we noticed more faults. For example we have several cracked tile pieces, cocking missing, sheetrock mistakes. I was not completely happy with my buy if I would do it again I would pay way more attention to details.

On behalf of my wife Lisa, we’d like to commend the Highland Home staff here in Jordan Ranch. Each one in their respective area was top drawer. This is our fifth and last home. Our experience from the beginning with Sales; during the construction phase and any follow-up on some minor items after we moved in has been great in every aspect. Having been in a sales career all my life, great performance should be acknowledged by the customer and not just problems. I hope this in some small way highlights how good the team is here.

Very honest and followed thru with what they said they would do.

Highland Homes went above and beyond our expectations. They communicated every step of the way along the home building process and informed us on why they did things or how things worked. We have built three homes and from walking each one this Highland home has felt like the better build quality of the three. Thank you Highland Homes!

This was our second home and the experience was great. We were allowed to make different changes including non standard changes. Very responsive. The builder communicated with us on the construction every week.

Great experience with Anita and Jarred. Jarred was quick to address and fix and issues or concerns we had.

The house is alright. We closed fast and the house was behind schedule. We were promised things would be fixed quickly as we found them but we have found that is not always the case and have had to push to get things fixed.

Don’t sign your closing docs until the builder fixes everything! It has taken me over 2 months to get everything fixed the right way and stay on the painters!! The builder has been very responsive about getting back to me but they are so busy building so many houses, their attention to detail from the contractors is not always good. We had to get the the patio and a portion of the driveway“floated” as there was acid/grease stains from the sub contractors, the painters (pretty sure the first painters were fired) had to come at least 5 times to fix things, and there were some finer details in the kitchen that were left unfinished/not painted. Bottom line, the house was rushed and not checked prior to the walkthrough and corporate would not move back the closing date. The materials/quality were good but attention to detail was lacking. ... My home buying experience with Highland is a mixed review. From a floor plan/neighborhood perspective they have very nice floor plan options that are in very nice areas. My sales manager, Sarah T., was fantastic! She was very honest about answering questions and extremely responsive. She walked through each phase step by step. Without a doubt she was what sold me on building with highland and making my experience pleasant. I also appreciated my lending team and my design center consultant. When it came to the project mgmt/construction side - things unfortunately were not as smooth. I assume things in Covid added a layer of complexity in terms of materials and timing, but that should not have an impact on the quality and finishes on the home. When it came time for final walk throughs and closing my home was "finished" with lots of missed items which proved a lack of quality assurance (cracked windows, screws missing from glass door, damaged tile, bathroom drains filled with corrosion, messy cocking, VERY THIN flat standard paint which comes off EXTREMELY easy, etc.). Also there were A LOT of construction remnants left for me to clean and fix in a brand-new house which I feel is unacceptable (I.e. paint spots on floors, pencil markings on the tiles, base boards not flush to the end of the wall, windows not clean, dust on counters, paint/cocking all over most light switches door knobs, and more). My project mgr was responsive but I feel it was hard for my points to be fully understood and made priority. Highland makes a beautiful - I have toured several model and completed inventory homes to confidently say this. What I would say for new buyers is stay on the project mgmt side and ensure they are doing what they should be in terns of finishes. Liked the staff and home

The house finishes are not 100%

We moved up our closing date on our home based on Highland saying they would be done earlier than we thought they would. Big mistake. They did not complete in time and we had no where to go and moved in. Still not done with issues and we have been here for 2 months. Not the way we planned. Cabinet company came out in about two weeks and hasn't been back in 6-7 weeks- forget holidays, we are just fed up - that is only one thing that is not fixed/completed. Only move in if completely done and hope you have no issues. I will never move around the holidays again and never take a builders word for when they will complete a home - I will wait and wait and wait to close for never having these headaches and that builder will need to wait on me and will understand since we have this story to tell. The quality of the home is very good for what was done and the sales rep was great but I can not handle the ups and downs again. I have been home since we are still in Covid protocol and that is the one thing saving us for whenever people can come, I am here to get things checked off our very long of things that need to be done. Trust me, this review is being nice since our frustrations run so high but "it is what it is" as a friend of ours always says. We just deal with it. If Highland is reading this - they know who this is and that is a shame for it can not really be anonymous and this story sticks our like a glaring red dot on the page. ... More

They made my first time home buying experience so easy and were available to answer questions quickly!

Excellent builder, good location. Very good interior designed. Beautiful garden. Clean environment and lakes. Excellent landscape. People are very friendly. We love high land homes.

They help you get exactly what you need, and adjust based on your desires and budget. Great house project and awesome features. Our sales person (Sarah T) was amazing and caring. She gave us all the time to make sure we were taking the right decision, always available. Great experience overall.

Homes are beautiful with modern design and wide, open spaces. We have been living and enjoying our new house, now for two months and everything is been working in the house as expected. The builders team was very helpful and dedicated to us during the purchase process and further during the move they were supportive with any question or requirement we had until being fully settled in the new house.

I think they can improve in materials and labor with better quality.
