Workmanship is not good due to labor shortage.

They did not cover all the options available and were stuck on building as is, not what could be done. We were not given complete listings or copies of what they discussed in the meetings. We had to fight to have any issues addressed that were seen at walk through. The house and concrete (driveway, garage and patio) were filthy at move in.

The floor plan is very nicely laid out. All cabinetry, flooring, appliances, etc. are of excellent quality.

Small door widths - 24" on many... not enough options at the design center. Sometimes - none at all on some options. Check the design center numbers - I found they overcharged me almost $30,000 - which they did correct. Pricing is crazy - for instance - getting door pulls (handles) - you buy by the room not per pull. Some rooms - the pulls were $30 each, other rooms - $90 each. No mud room - just walls. When I asked them the price to add a simple bench... $5,000! They also fail to tell you the price to actually finish the kitchen - cabinets will be extra - and then painting etc. Most builder include that in the original pricing. $5,000 for a tub that only costs $900. With that said - the Sales Counselor Adam - great! Very helpful and professional. The project Manager Orlando - great as well - always available and great with return calls and texts. Highland Homes need to look at the limited selections at the design center. They need to have more than 1-2 options on kitchen appliances, including choosing a different manufacturer. Need options on different doors than the ones builders stop using a decade ago. LED Disc lights!? Thos have to go. If your light burns out - you have to replace the whole receptacle - upwards of $30-$40. When management heard about the pulls and mud room, they made some accommodations for me. So - I would recommend Highland - but with only a few easy tweaks - they could be 10 out of 10. I love the home - but get ticked every time I walk into a bathroom and bump my shoulders on the 24" doors... ... More

Our journey with Highland was great from the beginning to end starting with our Realtor, Katrina and Sales Reps, CeCe and Fran in the model home and James, our Loan Officer along with Cricket and Karen and with our Construction Manager, James who kept us informed every week with the process of the construction of our home. My experience with the Anita and Bannett was beautiful. They were always ready to help. The paint used in the house especially the cabinet retains stains and difficult to wipe stains of them. And I think the furnishings in the house could heve been better too. But Anita and Bannett were awesome

The price is not very transparent. A lot of promotions need to be added if you want to receive a higher quality house.

I had a wonderful experience with Highland Homes throughout my build journey. From the very beginning, Becky made an amazing first impression when I visited the model home. She was welcoming, knowledgeable, and set the tone for a positive experience. Morgan, the sales manager, was responsive and helpful with any questions I had or when I needed assistance. She made the process feel smooth and stress-free. My construction manager for the second half of my build journey, Giovanni, was professional and easy to work with. He kept everything running efficiently and communicated all updates with me in a timely manner to make sure my home was built with care and attention to detail. The sales team was great. When construction started, that’s when things went south. Our construction manager was changed after the house was started. Things that were written on the scope were not followed through correctly. We are very disappointed with the workmanship of the house. I have a working list of 27 items for warranty at this time that I need to submit. Also disappointed in the materials that were used especially using mdf products and not wood for baseboards and trim around doors. Do love the floor plan that we selected.

Our experience with Highland has been great. Manny was very helpful during the sale process and the construction manager Jonathan has been absolutely stellar both before and after closing. We are very happy with our home!

Highland homes designs some of the best homes in highland. We bought a 65 foot lot with the one story home. The design is so grand from the entry you walk down this awesome hallway into a great room that includes large kitchen, keeping, dinning and living room with 14 foot ceilings!!!! The materials and finishes are all high quality. Our project manager Charles walked us through the entire process and made sure everything was done the way it should be. Every new home will have some issues or things that may not be completed correctly. We had very little issues and mostly just cosmetic. It was very easy to work with the builder’s agent, Jack L., during the planning process. He was quick to respond and consistently kept me informed about building progress. The construction manager, Bennett, was excellent — I really appreciated the weekly update emails and the site visits to review progress in person. I only wish the closing process had not felt so rushed. Overall, it was a very good experience

Unfortunately, one of the subcontractors absolutely failed in trying to resolve an ongoing issue. While it was finally resolved, it was because of my persistence, not the builder’s or the subcontractor’s efforts. This one experience was a total fail which turned an otherwise amazing homebuyer experience from all 5’s to all 4’s.

There are many cosmetic issues with the home. The painting is really poorly done and a lot of the internals look and feel cheap. We keep finding more and more things the builders messed up and it's becoming tiring to chase after them for help so we will be hiring people to come fix the issues out of our own pocket.

I had a pleasant experience purchasing the home with Virginia, she was very understanding when it came to different parts of the deal that we considered important as buyers My experience with William as a construction manager has also been pleasant, he is accommodating when it comes to ad-hoc requests The overall quality of the materials and workmanship in the home exceeds my expectations

We have been very satisfied with our first experience purchasing a Highland home. The staff is great to work with and very responsive. Never felt left out of the loop during construction. The portal is easy to use anytime we have a question or a request.

BENNETT’s and Jack provided an excellent home-building experience from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and transparent throughout the entire process. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and communication was always clear and timely. I am very satisfied with my new home and would highly recommend BENNETT’s and Jack to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy builder.

We had a few hiccups early on in the construction process. But, once Eric got involved everything worked smoothly. Eric is EXTREMELY good at his job and was very responsive to any and all my concerns!

Communication and follow thru was missing at times. It felt like we didn't know where things were such as sprinkler system to shut down the water consumption. We've been in our new home for six weeks and some (not all) repairs are finally being taken care of. We still have an issue with the kitchen cabinet drawer broken. Design of home is nice, functionality is less than desirable. For example the kitchen does not have enough counter space or cabinets. Very tight between island and stove area.
