All aspects of this home build and purchase were excellent. Brandon and Zibah were great to work with - expectations and communications were clear and timely through whole process. Home was finished ahead of schedule. Pre and post closing interactions were responsive. We have bought and sold several homes over the years - Highland is by far the best new home partner we have had. Would highly recommend Highland Homes.

I had a fabulous time buying this house. The sale services and the interaction with construction manager were flawless. The sale coordinator was super responsive and hard working. My text and emails were answered within half hour or immediately unless she was in meetings. The construction manager did a thorough handover with touch up paint and detailed explanations of equipments/ fixtures. Landscaping was completed before move in. Unfortunately I have to take off one star because the location of the furnace. It's hidden in a cut out hole in the attic, and to service or just simply replace the filter, serviceman will need to go thru the master bedroom, and bathroom to get to the closet with a ladder (no ladder built for services). Other than this unfortunate detail, everything else points to a flawless dream house. BTW, all bathroom, kitchen sink, shower faucets are MOEN high end brand. I had a great experience building with Highland Homes, largely thanks to the builder /PM…Ryan. From start to finish, he was a pleasure to work with, always responsive, consistently available, and quick to address any concerns that came up along the way. Whenever an issue arose, Ryan didn’t just acknowledge it; he followed through and resolved it promptly. That level of communication and accountability made what can be a stressful process feel much more manageable. I’d highly recommend Highland Homes, and Ryan in particular, to anyone considering buying or building a Highland home.

Great experience and can’t wait to buy again

I had been faithfully checking the Highland Homes website admiring the beautiful homes after visiting the model several years ago. I previously was interested in the 218 floor plan but switched my preference to the 216 plan after seeing the upgrades. Now that I'm in my house, I am very grateful that I've been blessed with such a beautiful home for my family and I to enjoy for many years to come. I love everything about this house. Jovanney Adam and Ana were knowledgeable about all things involving the home. All questions and issues were addressed to satisfaction. The home quality this far has meet our expectations. If we had to do it over again we will still choose this home and the Highland team in this community to partner with on such a big investment.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of working with Hector and Dakota at Highland Homes! Hector helped us find the perfect lot and design the home exactly to our liking. Dakota was extremely proactive and responsive throughout the entire building process. Any questions or concerns were promptly addressed and corrected if necessary. Even after we closed and moved in, Dakota made himself available to ensure we knew the ins and out of the new home. Both Hector and Dakota made the process seamless throughout and took all the hard work off my wife and I. The buy experience was very smooth but construction started off very slowly. Things picked up significantly when Harrison took over the project management. The biggest problem is the confusion with the address. For some utilities, we are in Rosharon, for others it is Iowa Colony or Arcola, but the postoffice says our address is Manvel. This situation has caused no end to the problems. To make matters worse, we have not received any mail since we moved in. The Manvel Post Office is receiving mail for us, but has not been able to deliver it. According to the them, they don’t have a key to the mail box cluster so they can’t load it. I’ve complained to the post office 3 times already, but they don’t seem to care. This applies to multiple of our neighbors. ... More

What an absolutely wonderful experience with these 2!

I had a positive experience with Troy, Chris and Pedro throughout the building process. From our first meeting to closing day, everyone was professional, responsive, and easy to work with. They kept me informed at every stage and were willing to answer questions or walk me through details, which made the experience feel much less overwhelming. I appreciated how organized and communicative the team was. Any concerns I had were addressed promptly, and they truly made me feel like my home mattered to them—not just another project. As for the home itself, I’m very happy with how everything turned out. The layout is functional and thoughtfully designed, and the craftsmanship and finishes reflect quality work. I had a really good home buying experience with Highland home. From sales consultant Jake to construction manager Bennett, all provided me with very helpful information, Bennett send the weekly progress on time. Fixed the issues promptly!! I will recommend Highland home to my friends and family!

Good builder, Megan the sales from Highland help to decide the material from beginning until closing. And the contractor guy dalton always updated me about the house

It was an excellent experience during and after the buying experience. We love our new home. Devin and Linda were absolutely incredible.

Overall had a good experience. Mortgage process went smooth, closing was smooth, and construction manager was great during busy time at end of the year. I do feel like there could have been more done from an informational standpoint directly related to the neighborhood. There weren't any instructions about registering for the neighborhood amenities or anything like that. There also was not instructions for things like the smart home or security system. Again, these were just minor things to an overall good experience. I would recommend the community and Highland Homes to others

We got a great plan and decided to buy with some allowed modifications. The customer service and construction manager were great. But the quality of workmanship is terrible. Even after constant monitoring the building process, we had hundreds issues including some terrible ones even after closing. Some defects could not be rectified. There were many omits and misses. But silver lining is great service. Even after a month of closing, the issues were addressed. The home was built in haste to meet closing date and poorly done in some areas (carpentry, electrical, roofing, painting) that is not expected to a costly home. Great house with many desirable features. Quality was great.

Workmanship is not good due to labor shortage.

They did not cover all the options available and were stuck on building as is, not what could be done. We were not given complete listings or copies of what they discussed in the meetings. We had to fight to have any issues addressed that were seen at walk through. The house and concrete (driveway, garage and patio) were filthy at move in.

The floor plan is very nicely laid out. All cabinetry, flooring, appliances, etc. are of excellent quality.

Definitely helps when you know whaf you liek and looking for

Small door widths - 24" on many... not enough options at the design center. Sometimes - none at all on some options. Check the design center numbers - I found they overcharged me almost $30,000 - which they did correct. Pricing is crazy - for instance - getting door pulls (handles) - you buy by the room not per pull. Some rooms - the pulls were $30 each, other rooms - $90 each. No mud room - just walls. When I asked them the price to add a simple bench... $5,000! They also fail to tell you the price to actually finish the kitchen - cabinets will be extra - and then painting etc. Most builder include that in the original pricing. $5,000 for a tub that only costs $900. With that said - the Sales Counselor Adam - great! Very helpful and professional. The project Manager Orlando - great as well - always available and great with return calls and texts. Highland Homes need to look at the limited selections at the design center. They need to have more than 1-2 options on kitchen appliances, including choosing a different manufacturer. Need options on different doors than the ones builders stop using a decade ago. LED Disc lights!? Thos have to go. If your light burns out - you have to replace the whole receptacle - upwards of $30-$40. When management heard about the pulls and mud room, they made some accommodations for me. So - I would recommend Highland - but with only a few easy tweaks - they could be 10 out of 10. I love the home - but get ticked every time I walk into a bathroom and bump my shoulders on the 24" doors... ... More

Our journey with Highland was great from the beginning to end starting with our Realtor, Katrina and Sales Reps, CeCe and Fran in the model home and James, our Loan Officer along with Cricket and Karen and with our Construction Manager, James who kept us informed every week with the process of the construction of our home. They made every aspect of our journey a pleasure and since we moved in, they are still present to ask questions and help with our concerns. My experience with the Anita and Bannett was beautiful. They were always ready to help. The paint used in the house especially the cabinet retains stains and difficult to wipe stains of them. And I think the furnishings in the house could heve been better too. But Anita and Bannett were awesome
