Great service from sales team all the way to closing

Finish work--paint, drywall and tile--could have been much better. There are multiple corners of walls/bottom trim that are not square and/or even. Highland Homes is correcting all of the issues however, would have rather had the finish work completed properly the first time. I am most pleased with the windows and doors installation. The wooden floors which we chose (which covers most of the downstairs) was installed properly and looks great. And I feel that Highland Homes does an excellent job with installation and design of the Trane Heating and Air Conditioning system--very efficient and very well balanced. Follow up from contractors/sub contractors has been prompt and professional. Our Highland Homes Construction Manager was attentive to our requests and kept us engaged and informed. It was a smooth process from the day we decided to buy until the day we got the possession of our new home. So far we have called for one issue which has not been addressed by the corporate office in spite of a few calls. Didn’t expect that hence Very disappointed.

Beautiful homes with high ceilings

Don was great to work with. If he told us something then he would try his best to make it happen. While I know the sub contractors are not always reliable, Don followed up to make sure they completed what needs to be done.

Builder warranty is great. They address any issues you have in timely manner. I would recommend the builder to my family and friends. Pleased with the work ethic and dedication of the entire team (sales rep and project manager).

Highland Homes made the home buying process very easy. Everyone from the builder to the loan officer were always available to answer questions. They made the process non stressful and go smoothly.

I thought I was buying a decent home until i moved in. The FIRST weekend, the plumbing backs up on us!. There was a stake in one of the trees that a genius landscaper stuck so deep into the ground that it cracked the cheap pipe that was used for the plumbing. To their credit, highland homes fixed it the same day. Week later, i discovered a roof leak due to a leaky roof jack. This was fixed a few days later. Now ive realized the ac installer that highland choses for my area is one of the worst rated hvac installers in Houston. They never tested the static pressure on the ac, the coils were full of sand, several vents were installed backwards, etc. I expected far better than this considering the price of the home . ... The process from start to finish was challenging at times, but the team at Highland always came through. The communication from the Sales Rep, Hector and the Project Manager Jim, made all the difference for me. When there was an issue to be addressed, they were both available and attentive to resolve in a timely matter. The home turned out beautifully and I would highly recommend Highland, specifically the Team that I worked with. Thank you!

I canceled contract with Lennar to go with Highland Homes and I regretted it! Sales person was very aggressive and all over. Wasn't even there for closing or call to see how everything went. Not attention to detail nor concern with my needs. Always pushing my concern or additional work to outside source that is clearly a conflict of interest. Home quality is not there, I paid additional cost to update my kitchen cabinets and let's say the workmanship is terrible. Landscaping work is terrible! Have ask them to repair and still no change after three months.

...we moved in two months ago and still have zero options for cable/internet. It’s 2019, the internet is not optional! Should have been ready to go before closing! Otherwise great house and great experience.

I would like to compliment Chris our CM for an amazing job and personality. He made us feel very Comfortable. He did an outstanding job in a timely manner and I’m grateful that he built our house. His bedside manner was incredible. In the end Highland is lucky to have Chris as an employee.

The home buying process was great. This is my first new home in 20 years. We heard stories from others about difficulties with their new homes and the buying process. So, we expected the some difficulties. Highland Homes was great. The construction manager gave a thorough walk through and all items were addressed quickly. I have already given recommendations to friends and family to buy from Highland Homes

The entire sales process was great. From Andrew, our rep, to Mike, the builder, to all the guys that built the home and came in and out to address any and all warranty issues. This was out first time buying a home and Highland has set a high standard for a new home buying process. I doubt we ever leave Klein Orchard but if we do, we’ll purchase from Highland again.

Excellent experience with sales and construction manger. . They were both prompt and helpful through out the entire process.

I appreciate Highland Homes building a great house and taking the time to make sure the little details were done right! We opted for high end floors, media room, large lot, and unique elevation and love the way the house came together. I am not a first time new home buyer and my standards are high. We were very happy with the sales and construction process for our new home at Aliana. The sales and project teams worked hand in hand to ensure all communications regarding the house were documented and verified. Their process for checks at various stages and during closing made us more confident on their project. The closing and post-close follow ups have been great too.
