I thought I was buying a decent home until i moved in. The FIRST weekend, the plumbing backs up on us!. There was a stake in one of the trees that a genius landscaper stuck so deep into the ground that it cracked the cheap pipe that was used for the plumbing. To their credit, highland homes fixed it the same day. Week later, i discovered a roof leak due to a leaky roof jack. This was fixed a few days later. Now ive realized the ac installer that highland choses for my area is one of the worst rated hvac installers in Houston. They never tested the static pressure on the ac, the coils were full of sand, several vents were installed backwards, etc. I expected far better than this considering the price of the home . ... The process from start to finish was challenging at times, but the team at Highland always came through. The communication from the Sales Rep, Hector and the Project Manager Jim, made all the difference for me. When there was an issue to be addressed, they were both available and attentive to resolve in a timely matter. The home turned out beautifully and I would highly recommend Highland, specifically the Team that I worked with. Thank you!

I canceled contract with Lennar to go with Highland Homes and I regretted it! Sales person was very aggressive and all over. Wasn't even there for closing or call to see how everything went. Not attention to detail nor concern with my needs. Always pushing my concern or additional work to outside source that is clearly a conflict of interest. Home quality is not there, I paid additional cost to update my kitchen cabinets and let's say the workmanship is terrible. Landscaping work is terrible! Have ask them to repair and still no change after three months.

...we moved in two months ago and still have zero options for cable/internet. It’s 2019, the internet is not optional! Should have been ready to go before closing! Otherwise great house and great experience.

I would like to compliment Chris our CM for an amazing job and personality. He made us feel very Comfortable. He did an outstanding job in a timely manner and I’m grateful that he built our house. His bedside manner was incredible. In the end Highland is lucky to have Chris as an employee.

The home buying process was great. This is my first new home in 20 years. We heard stories from others about difficulties with their new homes and the buying process. So, we expected the some difficulties. Highland Homes was great. The construction manager gave a thorough walk through and all items were addressed quickly. I have already given recommendations to friends and family to buy from Highland Homes

The entire sales process was great. From Andrew, our rep, to Mike, the builder, to all the guys that built the home and came in and out to address any and all warranty issues. This was out first time buying a home and Highland has set a high standard for a new home buying process. I doubt we ever leave Klein Orchard but if we do, we’ll purchase from Highland again.

Excellent experience with sales and construction manger. . They were both prompt and helpful through out the entire process.

I appreciate Highland Homes building a great house and taking the time to make sure the little details were done right! We opted for high end floors, media room, large lot, and unique elevation and love the way the house came together. I am not a first time new home buyer and my standards are high. Well Done Highland!

We were very happy with the sales and construction process for our new home at Aliana. The sales and project teams worked hand in hand to ensure all communications regarding the house were documented and verified. Their process for checks at various stages and during closing made us more confident on their project. The closing and post-close follow ups have been great too. Would highly recommend highland homes to my friends and family.

Great buying process

Great home overall for the money paid. All issues found by a third party inspector were resolved in a timely manner. The issues were courteously explained and addressed. The construction manager,Jose, had a great personality and responded to our needs in a professional manner. The sales counselor,Susan, was great to work with and was diligent in taking care of our every need during the homebuying process.

My house is valued at $305,000. While that's not on the more expensive end of the spectrum of what homes can cost, it is still hundreds of thousands of dollars. I expected better quality workmanship in this home. The paint, the cocking, the cleaning, the baseboards, etc. are all consistent with what you would expect from a rented apartment. In fact, they remind me a lot of the apartments I lived in during my college days. For a house that I paid hundreds of THOUSANDS of dollars for, I expected better quality workmanship.

Paint is everywhere, cracked tiles in the bathroom that still haven't been fixed. Leaking water line that they haven't come back to fix either. Will not buy another home from them.

There were some minor cosmetic issues that were addressed quickly. Awesome team to work with.

The Sales Counselor was honest and up front with every request we made. He stayed on top of the build and worked closely with us! The Project Leader building our home also was great to work with. I had a 3rd party inspection done which identified a hand full of concerns. All but 3 where very minor. The Project Leader requested a copy and addressed every point of concern and corrected any problems on a timely bases without question! The team we worked with was outstanding and made us feel like family! I would highly recommend them!

Builder responded in timely and made the buying, inspection, and move in process quite easy.

Ensure work is done thoroughly and you have looked at everything. The contractors tend to miss things here and there.

After 1 month closing. The grand new AC has issues. AC leaking water down to the ceiling and dripped to the floor. Highland Contractor just repaint the effected area. Big Tex still don’t know what happened to the AC. Same thing happened after 2 weeks. Called Big Tex Emergency many times nobody respond. Very disappointed.
