A wonderful and professional attitude. A great home buying experience

Nothing is ever perfect but they came as close as they could. Purchased my home long distance and they were communicative and responsive with me all along the way and even so now as I find little things to be tweaked along the way!

Overall we had a great experience with Highland Homes. We were kept up to date during the process and timeline expectations and completions. The work was done great but was not perfect. That said, when these imperfections were brought up, attentive to the issues and resolved. I highly recommend Highland Homes, the home was beautifully built and we love it.

Very good builders and responsive to issues. Some does take time to resolve, so submit request a early as possible.

Hard to put the words trust and builder in the same sentence. But you can trust that Highland Homes will deliver with a positive experience throughout the process. Our home was completed on time, as promised, in budget...and we built long distance. Sure, there were some issues to be expected with a new build, but Highland warranty service is top notch. Build with Highland Homes, you’ll be glad you did!

Very nice experience from buying till closing.

No attention to detail. A lot of small problems that could have been quick fixes were ignored. Took too much time replacing or repairing items.

Everything has been wonderful thus far. Everyone has been helpful, respectful, and quick to respond.

Had the worst experience working with the sales people. Treated horribly by sales folks they did everything they could to try to get me to leave or cancel my contract because had a buyer that was willing to pay the full asking price.

We got an excellent price on our home, and the materials are what we would expect. However, the workmanship was below standard. We submitted a list of warrantly issues and none of them have been addressed.

the experience with Highland homes was great. Everything went smoothly starting from signing the documents to closing. The Sales person & the builder was really helpful. They provided all the required support and answered all our queries on time.

Make sure one ask questions about how do you (owner) make decisions on what customers want when it comes to master bath having a towel and linen rack when second bath has one, providing more room for master toilet, internet service, cable or direct TV. Making decision as to being upfront on informing us customers on all things important to us. Showing customer prices of incentives and allowing customers to be able to order all necessary. Walls are too thin no privacy. Providing pest control so they don't move in to ants, spiders because it seems as though you don't care. Be more concerned in customers to get higher ratings. We love our Highland Home! Everyone was wonderful in the process - we even did financing with them. Everyone was incredible... until we got to inspection time with our construction manager. He was remarkably unprofessional and dismissive. We still have items he promised to fix that are incomplete a month later. And we aren’t picky! His responses to us included “it’s just a spec home”, “I have a bajillion thing going on, so turn it in to warranties”, etc. We don’t even know what to do. (Note: we aren’t alone in our disappointment and frustration with Matthew).

Construction was on time and with little problems. Overall it has been an very enjoyable event.

Be sure to summarize every communication in writing point by point after each meeting as to your understanding and have them respond their agreement. Their people appear to forget easily. Not all their contractors are the best. Don't rely on their inspectors. Hire your own. We did like the floorplan and the location but we came close to walking away from the contract a few times.

The house seems like it was rushed to meet our closing date, which we could have easily pushed back. Details such as internet availability was vague and misguided. Still don't have internet after nearly 2 months. Sales consultant seemed clueless about the tree removal behind house. Paint work is sub par. Floor is unlevel in several places throughout the house. Drainage around the house seems to be an after thought. Inconsistencies from house to house with same floor plan in the sections. Wrong fence per groves code installed on back fence line. Chesmar homes are building fences to code next to us. The construction manager has done a good job at meeting our needs with fixes. Seems the mentality is to build fast with disregard to fit and finish and try to fix under warranty instead of just taking the time to get it right the first time. We love our house and neighborhood, but there is a lot of room for improvement. ... More

only reason im docking a star from workmanship // materials is theres little tiny things that were rushed, not huge deals, just basically small nicks that we were told can't be fixed overall amazing builder and great house for value

I built a new home with Highland Homes at Laurel Glen, and I had very pleasant experience with them. It took only 4 months for me from signing a contract to close the house. Sales people are very helpful, polite, always answered my phone calls or emails, even after business hours and on weekends, walked me thru step by step in the process. The manager is just amazing, has very good personality, respectful, always listening and explaining. He has a group of experienced people that work for him, they do their job professionally and with high quality. Everything was completed in a timely manner with no delays. I have been pleased with every aspect of building with Highland Homes. From the salesman, to the building manager to anyone else I dealt with. Highland Homes truly cares about their customers and makes sure they are satisfied in every way. I have nothing but praise for how I was treated throughout this process. If I ever build again I will be looking for Highland Homes.

We sold a house in The Woodlands and bought a new house with Highland. It's our first time with Highland. The stress levels from both selling and buying at the same time were very high for me and my family. Working with Highland helped lower the stress for buying a new house. Having dealt with many other builders, once we met with Highland, it was clear to me that they were #1 on my list to strike a deal with. No non-sense or sales pitches, concise and to the point. Quality of construction is also excellent with modern designs. All steps from signing of contract through closing and after moving repairs have been seemless. The construction manager is ever reachable and responsive. He has taken good care of us, any repairs (mostly minor that are expected of a new construction) addresses almost immediately.
