Our Highland home buying experience was great. The highland team was easy to work with and our builder Jack was awesome.

We decided on Highland homes because our relator Aaron, he sold us on highland homes. Then the sales person, Adam was on point with his expertise and knowledge. We had the best project manager and he truly made our experience top notch. He was responsive and continues to be responsive with any questions we have. He listened to our questions and concerns and was always proactive with any challenges. The project manager can make or break your experience and I wish everyone could experience having someone like Jovanny on their team through the building process.

It was a very smooth process. No delays or issues. Very easy company to work with.

From our first meeting with Jay, we felt like part of the family. He patiently answered our many questions and went above and beyond to make our home buying experience great! Jovanny also made us feel like close family. He is always friendly and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We have been recommending Highland to everyone!

After having two other homes built in different states by different builders, our experience with Highland has, by far, been the best. Working with Brandon has been a dream as he has been super responsive and very on top of taking care of our issues. High quality workmanship, good response from sales representatives, Project Manager was exceptional, loved the Architecture. Negatives were that 3 of the 6 bathrooms were in the first 300 sq ft of house and many interior doors were too narrow. Great service and fast response time after closing to fix a few small repair items. Overall great experience.

The building process was very smooth and seamless. Jonathan, the Highland construction manager was outstanding! He was very responsive, professional and detailed-oriented from start to finish. Even though we lived in Virginia during the building process, he made sure to give us regular updates so we never felt out of touch with the process. He kept the project on track, solved issues quickly and delivered a beautiful home exactly as we envisioned it. I highly recommend!!

Every single person made sure they met my family needs in the process buying and building our forever home. They comforted our fears in this process and they made sure the quality of their services was top tier. We were very impressed with the overall purchase process. Glenn and Jim made it very easy for us. Although there was a struggle with getting power to the section, they both ensure d we were well taken care of. We love over new home. We got a product that is much better than we expected. The quality with certain items around the house were not up to par. Who ever does quality control needs to be fired. I had a lot of things I pointed out during the build process that needed to be fixed. Blue taped it all during walk thru's with my construction manager. I was told they would be fixed. Some were but they were only the small quick fix items. My kitchen was never fixed. Drawers, cabinets are misaligned. Trim pieces were damaged and not replaced. Now after closing the cabinet company got called out to fix my issues. Now I have more issues as the workers did a horrible job and a incomplete job. After moving in had to have high land homes have a drywall guy come fix some drywall that I found the not have a straight seen at two walls. Again this all comes down to quality control and the guy that also does it , is terrible at their job. Also whoever passes the home for inspection is also terrible. I'm glad I hired a third party inspector. If I didn't hire one, my a/c duct work would not be properly secured and there would be finger jointed wood boards in the attic in spots that your not allowed to use finger jointed boards. Sales was great. Closing was great. The build process was a nightmare, horrible. Was told one thing and another thing happened. My Wife and I have been home shopping for YEARS. We ultimately decided that getting a home to our standards just wasn't attainable so we agreed to be renters still (shame on Blackstone). Anyway, my brother (realtor) found a gem from Highland Homes. Not only did the home sing to us but given the in-house financing, we were able to afford it. What really set it apart though was HH's builder, David. He was attentive, went out of his way for us, and never made any request/inquiry seem small. If it matters to us, it matters to him. He's given us peace of mind knowing he'll do whatever it takes to make us satisfied and happy homebuyers. Given how exorbitant prices are getting, it seems like most homebuilders are just happy for a property to close and move on to the next. ... More

When we started our process with Highland Homes we had some rough hurdles. We eventually got reassigned to Jack and have had an amazing and smooth process. He continues to go above and beyond and we’ve had an incredible experience because of him. Thank you Jack for allowing us to have an amazing experience and for always going the extra mile, it truly makes a difference and we feel very lucky to get to work with you!

Unfortunately, we had to wait over a year for construction of our home to be completed due to no power to our subdivision. Highland helped accommodate us for the delay and there were benefits in checking construction status each week in- person. Without the delay in construction we would have given 5 star rating. We are very happy with our new home.

I bought new home from Highland. I got new home inspection which revealed to many issues. One cracked living room window, 3 heat resistance destroyed living room windows because of Argon gas loss. Every tone of black with Kitchen cabinets, non-working drawers, chips etc. Not polished properly kitchen countertop. No proper slope for garden and all rain water sits in the center of it. Non-working vents on bathroom. Very noisy fan hood in kitchen. Very noisy refrigerator. Cracking garage door which inside white outside dark grey, painted by Highland which causes blown fuse to many times. Garage door technician came and told me because of Highland painted the outside of garage door instead of ordering them on the correct color, paint sticks between parts and he removed some of the paint. Now I can see white lines between dark grey plates from outside. Some of these problem was fixed but I still have cracking garage door problem and noisy vent hood problem although I followed Highland team to many times. I am not sure how the home builder which is known one of the best of country provides so low quality control in their product before delivering to customer. One of the biggest highlights was working with our construction manager, Carter. He truly went above and beyond to make sure our home was built with quality and care. Carter was incredibly responsive, detail-oriented, and proactive in addressing questions or concerns. His professionalism and dedication gave us so much peace of mind during the entire build. Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5 The construction experience was excellent, and Ray has been consistently helpful throughout the process. However, our experience with the Sales team left much to be desired. We encountered a situation that required escalation to the sales managers, which involved multiple follow-ups and several hours of our time to resolve. Near the end of the process, we were unexpectedly told to finalize the loan rate within the same day. We received a text message at 2 PM stating that the rate had to be locked in by 5 PM. The message felt aggressive, implying that failure to meet the deadline would result in penalties and a delayed closing date. This kind of communication felt more like a threat than a professional interaction and was not something we expected from a reputed builder like Highland. There was no prior notice about needing to finalize the rate that day, which added unnecessary stress to an already time-sensitive matter. Overall, the Sales experience was disappointing and we believe there’s significant room for improvement in how customers are treated and informed. ... More

I love my new home.

The process they have with pre-closing and home orientation is flawed. We had several items on the list to be fixed but the focus was on closing and not finishing the punchlist. We have been closed for almost two months and are still trying to resolve issues. Highland needs to have an independent quality check prior to closing. They say they do but they don’t. After we closed we came to the house and our cooktop was in the floor because it did not fit, which was an issue for weeks prior to closing which they had time to fix but just could get it done. Expect a good experience with Highland Homes. Our sales person, Tony, was super helpful explaining everything about buying our home. The design center personnel were easy to work with and helped us make the best choices. We have been very pleased with our warranty experience so far. Jack and team have been very responsive to all our questions and had the various teams complete the warranty work very quickly and thoroughly. We’re pleased with our decision to purchase a Highland Homes.
