From the time Karen was introduced to Tony, our Highland sales counselor, all the way through our home buying process we had a fantastic experience! He was both very personal as well as professional in all his dealings with us, communicating in a timely and thorough manner. Later, when our house went under construction we began working with Jack, our construction manager. He was an excellent communicator utilizing e-mails, texts, and phone calls to update us on progress and address any questions or concerns we had. This was especially helpful to us as we were living in another state during construction. We felt like Jack was genuinely concerned with our desires related to our house and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure we ended up with a house we were thrilled with. How common is Jonathan for a name? Prior construction supervisor normalizes and minimizes complaints, (chipped bricks/defaced bricks are normal, there are plenty of leftover bricks, sub-contractors should have installed those "perfect ones", "normal for stairs to squeak" inspite of adding more screws on stair steps, guy who supposedly repaired the squeaks would pass for principal danseur as he carefully descended down the stairs to minimize the squeaks, he is a little bit stocky with matching attitude lol, he could only blame the framer for the squeaks, uneven wood stain application, rough door jams, uneven flashing, uneven sodding, construction manager does not check work of individual sub-contractors, how do you miss a window on the third bathroom (upstairs). Blame game among subcontractors, lackluster painting subcontractors (a lot smudge bricks that needed to be changed after closing. Construction manager prohibited use of flashlights to check on imperfections during walk throughs. buyer should be offered to upgrade sidings to brick or stucco instead of hardies, builder should have flexibility regarding orientation, right swing or left swing, driveway ended up directly across the opposite driveway. all showers areas should be recessed. there was a rush to close on a house despite multiplicity of items that needed to be done, closing was done and no window in the bathroom, how? Construction supervisor asked for 5 stars lol, his efforts are not worth for 5 stars, at the same he brags about his texas A&M school, and he got "promoted" or just transferred, woooow. don't worry this will not go online to make him famous. Same plan, same builder, different prices in different communities, different level of standard features in each community should be conveyed to multiple layers of subcontractors. building the same plan in the same community, different placement of vents/exhaust, not sure if the architect/engineer drew it differently lol, some items needed to be discussed during pre-construction meeting. so much inconvenience imposed on the buyer waiting for repairmen, are you gonna give me a pergola, epoxy garage floor, skylight or hotel stay for free while repair work is being done? ... My home buying experience with Highland Homes was a very pleasant one. Sandra, Dalton, Gwen and the entire Highland team were a pleasure to work with. I recommend Highland to anyone looking for a new home.

Buying from highland homes was the best decision I ever made, they were not pushy trying to sell me a home I came to them and they were phenomenal with the whole buying process, I just keep getting compliments on the house thank you so much highland homes!

We had great experience with the Highland home sales person towards closing and with the walkthrough with the construction manager. The staff has been responsive and helpful in taking care of any issues that came up. We have bought homes in the past but but we would rate our experience with Highland Homes too notch!

Each person involved in this process was kind, helpful, knowledgeable. My overall experience was excellent, This is my second Highland home.

We had bad experience with Highland builder. It seemed that they don’t care much about quality of workmanship. A lot of issues were found before and after moving in. Very slow progress when resolved an issue. Satisfaction still not meet for some issues such as lot of stains on driveways and garage, front and backyard weren’t level properly, damage and lack of grass for yards, outside walls and entryway has lot of pant and grout spills

The entire team - Troy, Pedro and Dakota, are very helpful and responsive. It was a pleasure working with them.

I wish I had good things to say about my home. I was incredibly invested, spent quite literally hundreds of hours doing research, reading contracts, working with my builder on the home, and trying to build relationships with the Highland team. I've never felt like my partner in any project put forward so little effort as Highland did across the board. I was talked down to by my sales person, ignored by my design center specialist, and lied to by my construction manager. On top of all of that, once I left reviews and messages for management, I never got a call back to address any concerns I had. Michael Construction manager and Jonathan Home warranty and the rest of the Highland Home family have given us outstanding customer service. Always professional, friendly, and very pleasant and easy to deal with. The whole home buying process has been very stress free. Highly recommend this Home Builder. This is my fourth home to own and the overall best home.

Highland Homes team did a phenomenal job from start to finish! Highland’s construction manager did a great job keeping the home construction on schedule and weekly progress reports kept us informed throughout construction.

I had to stay on them bringing build and do some stuff myself. Like making sure everything was sealed inside and out.weather siding people kept missing the stud pulse would holes in weather siding that weren’t sealed.Dont thing I have a straight wall in whole house.

Working with Troy(our salesman) and Charles(our builder) was the easiest real estate transaction my wife and I have experienced. Troy quarterbacked the process and kept it all moving, while Charles was an expert in completing our "punch-outs" and teaching us how to utilize all of our new technology that Highland integrated into our new home.

From the first day I met the sales manager Anita to buy a house I felt comfortable and after I decided to buy and followed up with her and the construction manager Jack I was very happy to deal with them for their honesty and implementation of everything we agreed on from the beginning of building the house until the end, and everything was perfect whether in terms of quality or dates as the delivery was on time. Now after moving into the house on the first of November and until now Mr. Jack has been very interested in providing us with assistance and meeting all our requests. I am very happy and lucky that I chose to buy my house from Highland Home after I visited many construction companies, so I advise my friends and everyone who wants to buy a house to choose Highland and they will find everything they ask for ... This builder has so much potential because there is a good product that could come if the building team took our home seriously in their work. The building team did not walk us through home building as it should have been done so many things were missed and even done incorrectly due to lack of proper oversight. I often voiced concern that I need more information prior to having meetings to decide on things but would not get the information I need prior to or even in the meeting. The building team should have walked us line by line what each category is and meant and not brushed over anything or asked in a general section do you see anything here you want. We are not building professionals. After move in our concerns were brushed off time and time again until I had to provide proof of other homes that I would go visit during their construction that had items we were told were correct (but weren’t) or couldn’t be done (but we’re done elsewhere). Our floor plan is so beautiful but the lack of care has caused this to be very stressful once we were in the home and finding out things and not getting the help we need. ... More
