The first time we stepped into Highland Homes, we knew we wanted to buy from them. The whole process was smooth, and we are so happy we did. The sellers and the builder manager were the best. I would not recommend any other builder.

Cris, Gigi & Skyler were an amazing team for my buying experience in new Braunfels. They were all incredibly responsive, showed empathy and caring for me having a positive experience with Highland Homes. They were also incredibly accommodating with my request and concerns. They took the time to explain why they could or could not accommodate different requests. They also have continued to be warm and friendly and accommodating post sale. I would highly recommend the New Braunfels team for anybody shopping for a new construction or spec home.

From the very beginning of my homebuying journey, I knew I was in good hands with Highland Homes. The Highland Homes team has been so helpful during the whole process. Debbie, Lindsay, and Priyam have been super nice for a first-time home buyer like us. My wife and I were nervous moving from a different state, but they made the whole process so seamless and easy for us. All the details were explained thoroughly. We had looked at a few homes from other companies but felt like the craftsmanship for the size home we wanted was lacking. We loved that Highland paid attention to all the details! Working with sales was easy and straightforward. Financing was a breeze. They had us in our new home in less than 3 weeks from the time looked at the house. After sales experience has been great. We first saw this home almost two years ago, when it was a brand new model home. We met Ivy then and she was SO friendly and nice! Not pushy, just gave us the info we wanted and left us her name and number! We perusal looked at the model 4 or 5 times, each time bringing different family members and friends. Ivy was just as gracious as always. Even though she knew we really didn't want to have a house built, she still kept us in the loop and greeted us warmly each time we visited! In January 2025, we drove by again and saw that the model had SOLD! We were so disappointed but figured it wasn't meant to be. Then just a few weeks later, we were taking our daughter to lunch and she said hey there's this neighborhood is really like to see. (She lives off of fm1103 about 2 miles from here). When we turned in, I realized it was the Neighborhood with the "dream home". My daughter said hey it's for sale. We couldn't believe it! We went in, walked around (again LOL) and asked what had happened. Evidently the day BEFORE the buyer had backed out! My husband and I looked at each other and said, "let's do it!" Of course, Ivy was there and she remembered us (she probably thought we were stalkers LOL). Also there was Rockie, a broker. He asked if we had a house to sell. We said yes so he said if you want, I'll follow you home and see if I can sell your home quickly. So Rockie came to see our house and liked it. So... in the course of a couple hours we made a decision to buy a house and sell ours! He, Ivy, and Natalie made the whole process easy and, quite honestly, fun! As with all homes, there were just a few things that needed to be fixed, and the three of them, along with Bobby (assistant builder) made sure it was all taken care of in just a short time! From the moment we decided to buy with Highland homes to the end date was roughly 7 months long. During the whole time we were getting up to date news on property and it seemed to flow pretty smooth due to the hard efforts of Patti, Lance and Alan. Without their constant help and assistance throughout the process my wife and I would’ve been lost and the purchase would’ve been pushed back. Patti was absolutely amazing at the end guiding us on items to supply and pushing everything through to the loan processor in a quick manner. After the purchase Lance checked up on us and the new house often making sure we had everything we need and giving us helpful contacts in case of emergencies. From the first meeting with Sue in the model home at Veramandi, we were treated with the utmost professionalism. She educated us about the wonderful aspects of and the amenities included in Highland Homes. She listened to our requirements and found us a lot and home design that matched our needs perfectly. We were then guided thru the various phases of making our new home a reality. Sue and Kevin smoothly got us through the change orders to customize the home to our desires. Then we were connected with our amazing construction manager, Alex. Alex was one of the most meticulous individuals we have ever worked with. He kept us in the loop from the lot prep until our final walk-thru. He set accurate expectations on our completion date and even brought the timeline in to our pleasant surprise. He earned our trust early in the stages due to his own high expectations on the jobs to be done. The excellent service did not end on our home completion. Highland Homes has a great mobile app to place warranty issues, questions, requests. My recent purchase with Highland Homes in Gruene Villages, was exceptional. The sales staff (Mark), went above and beyond in my opinion to help us navigate the process, as we delt with a difficult sale of our current home at the same time. Since our purchase was complete, the Post Sale help has continued. Every issue (which to date has been minor), has been handled extremely well and very promptly. The onsite Builder (James) has been an exceptional resource with questions and issues that have come up to date.

David sent my introduction to him, has always been prompt, patient,, informative, and affective. He has always answered my questions and clarified any issue or problem that arises. He is quick to resolve any issues or discrepancies in an extremely timely manner. He makes herself available, and his customer service is exceptional. Between Alan, the sales person, and David, I could not be more happy with my purchase. They both put kept me at ease and insured me that everything would be just fine throughout this process. I love my new home.

I trouble say that Sue and Spencer and everyone else helped right away with anther needed done! I have to say this had probably the best experience I’ve had from building to buying g existing. The o oh. Complaint I had are the cheap door knonbs. The cheap fiberglass in the barren of the shower I would take a house of this. Calibrlber would have put nicer fixtures in ah half a million dollars, you should her a house with nicer fixtures. But o their thank that everyone wa wheezy!over all I’ve been very a Happy with HH

We were extremely nervous to buy from a homebuilder again, as our first experience was very unpleasant. Highland worked with us every step of the way, was super responsive, and accommodated our wishes (like our external inspector that came to every inspection). We live in a mixed neighborhood of various homebuilders, and you can tell which are Highland Homes. The quality is absolutely higher. We did lots of Googling and review-reading prior to selecting Highland, and it was a great decision. They are also super responsive after the fact and have taken good care of us. I’ll start with the positives and say the ladies (Debbie & Lindsay) in the sales office were amazing. Best experience we had when it comes to home-buying. They were on top of their game and pleasant to work with. Doug Dreiman was great and continues to answer our questions three months after closing. However, we’re disappointed with our home experience after closing. Most service requests have been fulfilled in a timely manner. However, there are details in and outside our home that lack quality and remain to be resolved. We flagged issue before closing that were told were resolved but were ignored. WE have trusses sticking out on our roof and told that’s just what it is. The white trim boards in our home were poorly installed with nails and blemishes that are noticeable. We had a used dishwasher in our home that was registered to someone else, were told no reason to cover up the cracked grout on the foundation because it will crack, and found a broken shower rod in a restroom but was told it’s better to buy one ourselves. Three months into our home and we’re still waiting on items we flagged before closing. I would highly recommend not to close or sign till the house is to your liking. I would also recommend hiring your own inspector, not sure if Highland resolved issues on their inspection report. ... More

The issues we have are all post move-in for and finish and the lack of responsiveness and caring. Things were told to us that never occurred or multiple tickets were submitted for the same issue over the course of weeks. At week eight there are still unresolved issues from move in.

Having built a home in the past and later moving to another custom home, we did not see ourselves as ever purchasing a home from a large builder like Highland. But due to a time restraint, we ended up doing just that. Highland is one of the few builders not using stucco and they are responsive, professional and caring.
