Using Highland as our builder was one of the best decisions I ever made. It’s not like everyday you go out to purchase a home, but the highland team made the whole experience remarkable! From making sure my questions were answered to executing our upgraded options to our home. They were on top of it and provided a piece of mind that made us feel at ease. The question on this survey is what stood out? Clearly “G.N.” our Construction Manager undoubtedly stood out. His pro-active communication from the pre-build meetings and even today, 80 days after closing he follows up to ensure all is going well. During the build process there were several occasions where we said to ourselves, we need to call and ask about that. Before we would even call or text it was not uncommon from him to proactively reach out and tell us about the same issues and what was being done to correct them. As we came closer to closing and minor issues came up he was willing to talk through and address even the smallest imperfection to ensure we received a beautiful home. He clearly took pride and was not building a house he was building our home and we are very appreciate of the pride, thoroughness and workmanship. Our Realtor T.K. was awesome as well and made regular check-ins to ensure we were making progress every step of the way. You can tell she spoke with the construction managers because they are on the same page and moving the build forward. As far as the home, we are very satisfied and while it is little more expensive than some homebuilders in the area we are very pleased with the technology, workmanship and standard amenities in the home. ... After signing a contract with another builder and getting three weeks out from closing, the poor workmanship and constant installation of wrong materials caused us to cancel that contract and begin the search again. That’s when we met Teri at Highland Homes. Her courteous and knowledgeable demeanor, along with the pride in the quality of Highland Homes instantly sold us. So then the building process began. Greg, our construction foreman, was absolutely top notch! He went above and beyond to respond to any questions we had along the way and resolve any concerns we had throughout the process, and to this day checks in on us to make sure all is well. Very pleased with quality and workmanship of our home. They listen to what we needed to work for us. If they couldn’t do something they were great about trying to find an option or just said we couldn’t. They have come back and fixed items since moving in. Overall the response and professionalism is excellent.

Can't think of much except maybe be open and negotiate. Stay and remain positive thru out the ordeal.

We completed the building process from Washington state, which can significantly complicate the process. Dorothy and Adrian were amazing throughout with updates and pictures. They always went above and beyond expectations!

Since closing on our home in August at Bulverde, TX, my wife and I has received excellent customer service from the Highland Home representatives: Mark, Keith and Ms. Debbie. Perfection is a subjective term that every builder strive for!! Highland’s team at this location continues to collaborate with me addressing all concerns that appears to be imperfect. I know that I haven’t been the easiest customer; however I have alway been respectful. My attention to detail is quite different from most. No matter how minor it maybe, my perception was never belittled. They were all rationally addressed and we came to conclusion. My satisfaction appeared to be Highland Homes’ priority!! Great builder and Great Customer service

Process of building and closing went very well. The process was MUCH better than the process we went through 6 years ago when we custom built a home with a custom home builder. The Highland Homes Construction manager and sales person kept us updated with weekly phone calls on the progress of construction and always answered any questions we had. A couple of cosmetic items we noted after closing that needed attention, but all were fixed promptly and professionally. Another builder wanted to nickel and dime for extras like sprinklers, landscaping, sod, etc and would not allow us to have a whole house vacuum installed. A lot of the extras Highland INCLUDES in their homes and they were perfectly OK with allowing us to install a whole house vacuum. We were even able to customize the kitchen to allow space for a chef's fridge and freezer to be installed. ... More

From the very start, it was obvious that we made the right choice to build our home with Highland. No matter how small of a detail, question, or concern that we had throughout the process the employees at all echelons were nothing but pleasant and courteous. When issues came up, which is inevitable, I firmly believe that Highland went that extra step to make us happy that other builders just wouldn't have done. The only, and I mean only black mark we had was with our design appointment. Being first timers, and the fact that Highland gives you more choices in materials than Lowe's, 3 hours just isn't enough to figure it all out. For example, there was easily 40 choices of brick and 20 choices of stone. Easy to pick one of each but hard to pick something that looks great together. The person that was supposed to be there guiding us wasn't very helpful at all! In the end we had to return to the design center 2 more times on our own to get things looking right. Do your homework and tour as many homes as you can. ... More

Been in our house 2 months and weve really enjoyed it so far. Had some issues with the water heater and sprinklers, but HH was quick to address them. Excellent construction management
