Highland Homes builds a great product! Their architecture, design and finish out are amazing. We went from a fully custom home to an inventory home, and it was a near flawless transition. I would recommend them to anyone. I would not recommend their Home loans, but as a builder they are amazing!

Hands down best builders in San Antonio! Absolutely loved working with Highland homes to have our home built. We were well informed every step of the way! Any questions we had were quickly answered. Dorothy was absolutely amazing from start to finish! We came into San Antonio in Jun and they worked hard to have the house ready way ahead of schedule! The home is absolutely beautiful! I have zero complaints about quality of home we got!

We had a very smooth home buying experience with Highland. Our home was under construction when we bought it, so most selections had been made. We were, however, able to make a few changes that were important to us, and that process was very easy. Karen sent photos of progress on a weekly basis, and was quick to respond whenever we had questions. Our project manager changed during construction, and the transition to the new project manager went very well. Amilcar was very responsive and easy to work with. We also enjoyed working with Will. We really love our home and are happy that we chose Highland. The only minor disappointment has been the landscaping. Deer are very fond of many of the front yard plants, and much of the sod has struggled to become fully established. Most of this is not under Highland's control, but I think consideration should be given to installing deer resistant plants in the front. On the plus side, both front and back yard were fully landscaped so we could focus on moving in and we didn't have to worry about finishing up the yard. Buying experience with Highland Home's sales and finance team was great, the construction manager was accessible too... Less stress compared to my previous buying experience. My home floor plan is functional(living and kitchen area) and easy to decorate. The exteriors are well made with high quality materials, with water efficient sods. However, like every new home these days the interior finishing quality isn't that great. The paint quality is poor, you can't wipe off stains without doing touch ups. The toilet water systems are old-school and not efficient. The doors are not tight enough allowing energy losses mostly in the attic areas. I believe some of these issues could be avoided if you build from scratch, you can pick energy efficient items. The warranty respond team can do better. The home warranty was explained fully by your representative. However, when having submitted our varied requests for service through the website, there was NO, repeat NO, response towards resolution nor even an attempt to contact us. When after notifying the warranty representative, we have yet to hear anything in response. We are sadly disappointed since some of the issues were known prior to closure. Unacceptable comes to mind.

This is my second Highland Home purchase. I will say that Cris and Spencer are both great to work with. They provide great customer service and are proud to work for Highland …. And it shows!!

Despite the aggressive housing market that was summer of 2022, Highland Homes set themselves apart from other builders-the buying experience was as seamless as possible. From the sales team, to building team to financing; all were extremely responsive to questions and concerns and willing to make our home a reality. Supply chain issues might have caused delays, but quite honestly the building managers and supervisors pressed their crews to finish with limited delays. We can't say enough positive things about our experience. With some minor minor issues after closing, all have been scheduled and soon to be completed. Building a home with Highland Homes has been a great experience for us. Despite all the supply chain issues, our project stayed on track and our builder, Chris, was very responsive to our questions and to any issues which arose. We love our new home, and we’re pleased with the options and upgrades we chose. We have a few minor issues, but having built a home before, we know those are to be expected and we have every confidence they will be addressed by Chris and his great team of sub contractors.

The home buying process was a little overwhelming but we are loving our new home now that it’s over. We live in a neighborhood with several builders and Highland homes is what we always hear people recommend. In our experience they were professional, used good materials and worked on some great finishes. The layout is extremely convenient and many details within the home such as electric, piping, storage, etc, were just planned in an efficient manner, they didn’t ask us and we didn’t think of those but now that we have the home is clear they knew what they were doing. Due to supply chain issues they did have to replace some of our options, but for the most part they stayed true to the items and styles we picked when designing the house. Price wise it falls more on the higher end and within our neighborhood we’ve seen some beautiful houses from other builders at much more affordable price. From our first interaction with Thea, who sat with us for hours to spec out a home that we weren't even sure we would build, to working with her partner Patti that would provide updates just as often as Thea, to our construction manager Ryan that came in toward the end of the build but got things done to get us to the closing table, to the project manner Tanner that escalated issues as necessary, every single person that we worked with was top notch x2! We've built homes before but Highland Homes is leaps and bounds better than any builder we've worked with. No build is perfect...there will be things that pop up but our Highland Homes team addressed those things as they came up. Ms. Dorothy is a great sales woman with wealth of experience who helped work us through our home buying process, Brody is a great builder and always available to anwser questions and alleviate any fears. Doug and his team were also great and made the loan experience more easy than any other home buying experiences we have had in the past. Our buying experience was truly awesome! The sales associate provided all the required information for us to make an informed decision. The design center person was not as helpful as I preferred. All of our interactions with the builders have been remarkable and extremely positive. I would strongly recommend purchasing a home with the Highlands family.

Thea, and Patty the sales representatives were both SUPER and went out of their way to make the buying experience a positive interaction. Tanner the building superintendent has been very responsive and cured some new home issues in a prompt and helpful manner.

Dorothy, the sales rep was honest, candid, and highlighted the strengths of the home and community. After closing, it's only a good as it's support. Brody has been highly responsive, very pro- homeowner, and helpful with third parties. This company cares about its product and its owner. This is a great little home with quality people standing behind it.

Great value for the price. Materials were great, but combination of colors was not. Designers are recommended to combine colors better.

From beginning to end we were told honest answers to our questions. There are a few different builders in our neighborhood and we have seen many homes go untouched for weeks and months, but Kel set the expectations every week and followed through!
