Thea, and Patty the sales representatives were both SUPER and went out of their way to make the buying experience a positive interaction. Tanner the building superintendent has been very responsive and cured some new home issues in a prompt and helpful manner.

From beginning to end we were told honest answers to our questions. There are a few different builders in our neighborhood and we have seen many homes go untouched for weeks and months, but Kel set the expectations every week and followed through!

This is our second build and first time with Highland Homes. Very impressed with the whole process from start to finish. From sales to after- closing service, they have been very accommodating, responsive, and professional. They have built us a beautiful home.

Highland Homes is first among not so many equals. My delay in responding is that due to the pandemic there are painting touch ups and a few other things which will be accomplished soon. The delays been at our request.

Overall the quality’s very good. We’ve had a few small issues, which is to be expected, but Highland’s been very responsive to address them. Great people to work with. Wish the Ranches at Creekside developer and HOA were as quick and responsive as Highland’s been.

The staff was very helpful in our decision making. All items identified as a potential problem was resolved in quick manner. A great experience working with all of the Highland folks.

Once you move in you'll appreciate all the attention to the homeowner's actual living such as the wider driveways and wider lead walks to the front doors. That they cared enough to spend extra money before entering the home. The impressive roof pitches help the Texas hot air escape out of the attic as well give elegant curbside appeal. Every employee is an owner and it shows in their commitment.

I trouble say that Sue and Spencer and everyone else helped right away with anther needed done! I have to say this had probably the best experience I’ve had from building to buying g existing. The o oh. Complaint I had are the cheap door knonbs. The cheap fiberglass in the barren of the shower I would take a house of this. Calibrlber would have put nicer fixtures in ah half a million dollars, you should her a house with nicer fixtures. But o their thank that everyone wa wheezy!over all I’ve been very a Happy with HH

I am still waiting for light fixtures that were broke and another cracked, a crack I. Window front door repair and paint of shutter. I had one follow up but now nothing. I know they are busy just would like updates

Buying experience with Highland Home's sales and finance team was great, the construction manager was accessible too... Less stress compared to my previous buying experience. My home floor plan is functional(living and kitchen area) and easy to decorate. The exteriors are well made with high quality materials, with water efficient sods. However, like every new home these days the interior finishing quality isn't that great. The paint quality is poor, you can't wipe off stains without doing touch ups. The toilet water systems are old-school and not efficient. The doors are not tight enough allowing energy losses mostly in the attic areas. I believe some of these issues could be avoided if you build from scratch, you can pick energy efficient items. The warranty respond team can do better. Overall, a great buying experience. There are still a few cosmetic issues to be addressed (paint touch-ups, a door handle replacement and a couple others) but after reaching out and sending a detailed list, they have scheduled a day to deal with them. The neighborhood is great and we love it so far after a month or so. I would definitely recommend but I would also be vigilant about following up on any issues.

Sales and operations staff were helpful, attentive, and responsive. A great team with a good product.

We had a great experience with our salesperson. She delivered everything she promised and she was a great help with understanding the process of building with Highland. The project manager did an equally fabulous job. He listened to our concerns and went above and beyond to deliver what he could. Past those two it was sometimes a struggle to get answers or help with the things we wanted for our house. For the new home buyer I would recommend making a list of the things important to you, floor plan, finishes, outdoor space, to name a few. Look at all possible plans and work hard at the design center to get what you want while staying in your budget. They have things they forgot they had, so bring pictures of what you want. We have moved into our beautiful home and love it very much We have had some issues here and there but that’s to be expected in any new home but they come immediately to resolve or fix any issues right away this has been amazing on their part. The accommodations for making my home for my needs has also been amazing and greatly aapreciated

Higland homes are luxury homes. They are not cheap but an excellent investment with high quality. If you looking for quality then highland homes is your 1st and last stop

The home warranty was explained fully by your representative. However, when having submitted our varied requests for service through the website, there was NO, repeat NO, response towards resolution nor even an attempt to contact us. When after notifying the warranty representative, we have yet to hear anything in response. We are sadly disappointed since some of the issues were known prior to closure. Unacceptable comes to mind.

My husband and I chose Highland Homes because, in the past, we have had great experiences with the builder. Our experience in the building process was very good, but once we moved in, we learned that there are things that were done poorly that will not be fixed because they're not "warrantable items." It is disappointing that things are breaking and materials aren't of the quality that we paid and now we have to deal with it. Sales process was easy. My sales consultant did a great job. The home is beautiful. We got everything we wanted. Now, the attention to the little details is HORRIBLE. There are so many things that need to get fix that if the workers would have been paying attention, it would have gotten done correctly the 1st time. Now, I'm having to take time away from my week to be here for repairs. It's ridiculous and very annoying.

Cheaply made cabinets. Had wiring issues, split base boards, garage door issue, back door to the house howls when the wind blows and drainage issues in the back yard. For the price of the house you would think we would not have so many issues. I spent 100k less for my last house and never had this many issues.

I’ll start with the positives and say the ladies (Debbie & Lindsay) in the sales office were amazing. Best experience we had when it comes to home-buying. They were on top of their game and pleasant to work with. Doug Dreiman was great and continues to answer our questions three months after closing. However, we’re disappointed with our home experience after closing. Most service requests have been fulfilled in a timely manner. However, there are details in and outside our home that lack quality and remain to be resolved. We flagged issue before closing that were told were resolved but were ignored. WE have trusses sticking out on our roof and told that’s just what it is. The white trim boards in our home were poorly installed with nails and blemishes that are noticeable. We had a used dishwasher in our home that was registered to someone else, were told no reason to cover up the cracked grout on the foundation because it will crack, and found a broken shower rod in a restroom but was told it’s better to buy one ourselves. Three months into our home and we’re still waiting on items we flagged before closing. I would highly recommend not to close or sign till the house is to your liking. I would also recommend hiring your own inspector, not sure if Highland resolved issues on their inspection report. ... More
