This is my second Highland Home that I have had built in the last 10 years. There is no other company I would trust to build my dream home. Everyone that I worked with was great and went above and beyond to deliver for their buyers!

DO NOT BUY A Highland Home. Highland homes built us a shoddy substandard house. We have been filing warranty claims several times a week since we moved in due to all sorts of problems. We closed almost two months ago and still can’t use our kitchen cabinets. We paid for so many upgrades, not only were the materials cheap but the labor/install were shoddy, sloppy, careless, just outright unprofessional. The builder told us this is how it is in San Antonio. They will never be as good as the Dallas area. We should lower our standards/expectations. How comforting! We bought brand new homes before from other builders and remodeled a couple of homes. We never seen such shoddy substandard work ever. Even my husband's DIYs are better. The trades here are an embarrassment to the industry. They have no shame in building crappy houses. ZERO standards. The so-called professional painters don't use blue tape and tilers don't use spacers. Our kitchen backsplash looks awful and our cabinets are not usable. The shelves are cut too short and several of them started peeling before we even moved in. Scratches and dents everywhere on countertop, doors, trims, appliances, and messy paint jobs. You do not get what you pay for. If you want to be disappointed and deal with incompetent workers on a weekly basis, then buy a Highland Home. ... More

My husband and I were looking for a "forever home" to grow our family and raise our kids. We weren't happy with what we found in the market so decided building was the right choice for us. We interviewed a few different builders in various communities and fell in love with Highland Homes at Davis Ranch. We were able to find a lot and a floor plan that met 100% of our needs. The process was very straightforward and easy from the day we signed our contract to the day we moved in.

Tiffany made the purchasing process simple, smooth and welcoming. Sam made the construction process very worry free. He always made sure to check in with us and answer any concerns that came up. Tony has assisted with any issue that has arose since we've moved in.

This is our second build and first time with Highland Homes. Very impressed with the whole process from start to finish. From sales to after- closing service, they have been very accommodating, responsive, and professional. They have built us a beautiful home.

I purchased a speck home that was already designed. Color scheme chose was pretty. Disappointed in a lot of the workman ship in the home however.

We have dealt with many builders in the last 12 months. Highland Homes is customer service centric and deliver a quality product. It's very important to have a great relationship with all the reps involved for they truly make the buying experience world class.

DO NOT buy Highland. I've built 5 homes (KB, Eagle Valley, Meritage, Chesmar, and Highland). Highland Construction/Sales Management Team at Fronterra at WestPointe is by far the worst one. They will not correct poor workmanship unless asked by customer, then will try to convince customer work is within tolerances. Warranty work is nonexistent. Communication is nonexistent. Follow up is nonexistent. Will blatantly lie. I DO NOT recommend purchasing a Highland Home.

Great experience with Highland Homes. We bought a pre-built home that was unsold for whatever reason. Dorothy was wonderful and answered all of our questions - even the nitty gritty HOA questions. We had a few minor issues when we first moved in and all were reconciled and addressed very quickly by Chris and team - couldn't have asked for a better response. This is the 3rd new construction home we've bough (Mungo, Ryan, and Highland) - this is by far the best. Definitely recommend Highland Homes

The Highland team, especially our builder Caleb and the area manager Michael, exceeded our expectations in many ways. They made recommendations in areas we hadn’t thought about which really enhanced our new home. When we had questions or concerns, they took our input seriously and were always available to explain things in ways we were able to understand. We felt informed and cared for through the building process. When our friends visit our new Highland Home they all gasp at the beauty and WOW! factor - you just don’t find that with other builders! So happy in our Highland Home.

Can’t say enough on how well Ken, Anthony and their whole team has made the process a joy. They have been supportive, responsive and caring.

We had numerous issues with Highland. Early on in the build, our 1st Superintendent went out on leave for 3 months and we were never notified. The absence of a Superintendent led to major delays of scheduling and no quality control oversight of the work being done. Because nobody was in charge of the build I hired an independent inspector, pre sheet rock, that identified 50+ items that needed to be corrected. Highland did make good correcting the identified items, but at the cost of significant delays. We also had a bad experience with our 2nd Superintendent. He lacked in communication, professionalism, and honesty. He provided no oversight while work was being done, which led to constant rework and delays. Our 2nd independent inspection identified 40+ items Highland corrected. Over the course of the build we were given 5 different close dates that resulted in a 3 month delay from our original close date. After we moved in a Highland representative stopped by the house as a follow up. I gave him a list of 6 items that needed to be corrected. It took 4 weeks for Highland to schedule the electrician to come out to my house. I have my door scheduled next week to be looked at, but I have not heard anything else on the remaining items. Buying a Highland Home was painful. Through my realtor I expressed my concerns to highlands leadership team, but I was never contacted by anyone other than a supervisor. ... More

We couldn’t be happier with our new Highland home! Highly recommend!

Although we didn’t begin the design process of our home, we were fortunate enough to snatch an inventory home a few weeks before completion. Through out the whole process from when we put down the earnest money, up until now two months into moving into our home, Highland Homes reps have been nothing but helpful and attentive to all our needs. I’m so glad we decided to go with Highland Homes over any other builder and I won’t hesitate to choose so again in our next home buying experience.

Overall a good experience. Was a little disappointed that some things weren’t done right the first time and had to have someone come fix it. We love our home though
