I like everything about Homeland.

Nice experience and we love our home

We purchased a new Highland home in Denison which closed in November of this year. Since house was already under construction, and had fallen through twice, we were unable to make any substantial changes. On the plus side, we did not have to pay any closing costs due to the generous offers from the builder and lender. We were in the right place at the right time when the house became available, and we got the lot we wanted. It is an attractive house with a good layout, and the kitchen layout of out model has a good amount of storage. There really is not a lot to be critical of. I would say the Highland Homes has positioned themselves as a more upscale option in the housing market. With that in mind, it would be nice to see more attention to the small details. Some of the work was not up to what they were marketing themselves as. One design complaint would be that the master suite behind the family room and kitchen area has no sound insulation. Anything going on in that area, or the TV mounted on the common wall will prevent anyone from sleeping in the bedroom. Overall, it is a very nice house. Reggie ... More

The Highland group was very easy to work with. The construction managers were knowledgeable and courteous in answering our concerns. We didn’t have dealing with a sales team because we chose the house early in the construction phase, emailed the sales office and bought the home. However, that office was also easy to work with. I would recommend Highland to all who are in the market for a new home.

My experience in buying a Highland Home has been pleasant from the start to move in. Highland was very responsive to any questions or issues that might arise during the building process. You can not go wrong in purchasing a Highland Home

I had a great experience with Highland Homes. The sales consultant, Brittany, was excellent at answering all of our questions and was beyond helpful throughout the whole process. The construction manager, Jonathan, was prompt with every question we had, detail-oriented, and made sure everything was taken care of for us throughout the long construction process. I love the professionalism and trustworthiness the Highland Homes employees depict. Our family is loving our new home. We couldn't be happier and it was also nice to have different options to customize and upgrade.

Highland Homes was truly a great experience from start to finish. Both sales and construction were informative, knowledgeable and transparent throughout the entire process. My family and I are so grateful to have met and worked with the Gateway Village Team.

It was great and I am glad to choose Highland Homes as my builder. No delays no hidden fees. Just great employees to talk and assist you with your queries.

We liked the highland home quality and their service. home has all the nice material used with granite counter top. One thing we are not happy with it with minor details that can be improved in workmanship like loose connections, visible gaps in some of the portion of patio which can be home of insects.

We would definitely use Jacob again. Very prompt with return questions and progress with the home. Very personable.

Danny was on top of my build the entire time, providing updates and setting realistic expectations.

We signed a contract on a fully framed house at the end of November 2021 to close in April latest May and we ended up closing in mid August, 2022. It’s almost as if they were stringing us along for 9 months hoping that we would back out and sell the home for a higher price. After 9 months of waiting, we are in a “new” home that has electrical issues, AC issues, and a bunch of things done in hurry that looks unfinished. One AC vent started to rattle so loud in under a month it’ll wake me up at night. The driveway looks like it took some damage and they just threw concrete at it and didn’t even smith it out. Everyone on the block (including those with the same home design) has an additional side garden and we don’t. There is only one spigot attached to the home and it’s not even conveniently placed near the garden or back. Maybe it’s for the neighbor to use. Not thoughtful at all. We bought our Highland home at a crazy time and knew we overpaid for our home. After move in, we began to notice “the little things” that we had not seen with other builders in our modest price range. When we began to receive utility bills we took note of the efficiency of our systems. I could go on and on but our experience with Rayshell our sales person and Jordan our coordinator made this an easy transition in not so easy time. We were told our home would be ready in September and we moved in July 18. Thanks to all who made our downsizing and transition enjoyable.

Lots of concrete at bottom of foundation, grass unable to grow very unprofessional very disappointing, my last home were a Highland Home.

The transaction was simple and the team was very proactive with communicating and changes. Great product and easy transaction.

Brittany was amazing from the first day we met with her. Kept us informed through whole process and made the process less stressful and actually fun. Emailed us with great info and all the task we needed to follow up on. Brittany is the reason we say we decided to go with Highland Homes and was never disappointed. Jonathan was great from the beginning with the stages of the building process and each step of the way. . Met with us several times to discuss and answer any questions we had. Called weekly throughout with updates. Communicated with us throughout closing and after closing. We felt blessed to have Jonathan as “our guy”. A wonderful experience from the very first meeting with Brittany to the final closing. Best home buying experience ever

My wife and I had the best experience in buying a Highland house. We lived in another state at the time and had to communicate mostly over the phone or emails. The minor issues we had were promptly resolved by either Danny or Lesli. We have been in our home for about 6 weeks now and are very happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. I am extremely impressed with Danny, when I have an issue he takes the time to explain the process of it being resolved.
