Poor quality, *****, don't cover warranty.

We like the home. We like our builder individually. The design options have significantly reduced and even though the home is great, we just feel like this high $ value of a community - should have better design options.

Chad, our builder is the best. We have experienced new home construction but nothing like JW has provided in this home. What a great home...what a terrific leader who is passionate in making our home "perfect". Thank you Chad!

The build and design experience was good and easy. Would have liked more flexibility when it came to smart home options.

Sorry to be complaining here but sales team left us with no choice Design center did not even offer or inform about bathroom hardware Master bathtub has fine crack, kitchen cabinet doors are not soft closing which was promised Kitchen drawers don’t fully close Floor tiles have chips and cracks Doors makes loud noise when opening Dishwasher makes a loud noise when opened Zero coordination with utility providers about conduit and proper running of cables Roofs have signs of cracks which were casually pushed on weather factors without providing proper response The list goes on

Takes multiple appointments to fix simple problems after closing. Had multiple appointments with no show for the repairs. Waisted multiple hours waiting for the repair men. Poor installation of water heater Makes too much noise and noise travel to the 2nd floor bedroom. Poor landscape design water drainage, gutter drips water on the metal roof makes dripping noise and disturb sleep in the bedroom once rain stops.Spent Apparently 70K in design upgrade and gave only one visit of three hours. Asked for 2nd visit for 10 mins and rejected by sales person and manager. Not too happy with over all sales and warranty but very happy with the construction manager onsite. Best sales agent (Julie) and best builder manager (Ron) who were/are very responsive and available for help all along the way. Must be applauded, respected and rewarded.

We were fortunate to purchase the last home in our neighborhood. The build quality and customer support are first class.

Regular follow ups to help understand status of the construction process.

Starting from signing the contract thru closing the home, we had a great experience with JW Team. The sales rep that we worked with was great, she patiently walked us through every details at the beginning and answered every question reasonably thru the home building process. The project manager assigned to our build was great as well. He was meticulously organized, paid attention to smallest details and made this home building journey enjoyable. Even after closing he kept answering questions and helped getting few after closing issues quickly fixed without going thru the support team. JW homes built my home with 3 rd car garage, but without enough paved drive way to navigate a car into the garage. When complained, they don’t even bother to acknowledge there is a problem and try to make corrections

The overall process was efficient and reasonable. Once we went under contract, we chose our options and the work seemed to get started right away. We received prompt responses to all of our questions throughout, and the build finished largely on time. Communication was solid throughout. On the other hand, you give up some benefits when deciding to go with a home that is cheaper per sq ft. We had fairly limited options when choosing materials for the home, though we liked the overall aesthetic. Our walkthrough was eye opening - there were many issues that were not completed before closing, though most were resolved fairly soon afterwards (within 3 weeks). Now that we’ve been in the home for over a month, we’ve seen a few other things - contractors have shared that the wiring was not done well, the paint is very low quality and shows all marks, the trim and doors are made of very soft wood that dents easily. From a community perspective, there are still several things in process around the neighborhood, and the communication around when and how they will be resolved is nonexistent. All that said - the purchase made sense for our needs for more space, and the price worked for the larger floorplan that we needed. We knew we weren’t buying a top end custom home. Marketing and sales team experience was good but finding multiple issues with workmanship since we moved in

Had some bumps in the road, but in the end, all was addressed. Great communication through the process. Love our new home.

Found numerous problems with the finish quality which could have been easily caught and rectified before sending it for closing. Did not feel like it is worth the money. It was evident that workers did not took good care of the house while they were working, scratches dents, over painting, flooring problem. We were disappointed for sure.

Maryann was gray to work with. She was always very responsive. When we decided to change cabinets she had the quote to is within 24 hours. During the final walk through Brennen was very willing to see the faults and even repainted multiple room entirely. Great team, great experience

We are disappointed with our experience with JW Homes. The home we received did not meet our expectations, especially considering the amount we paid. Based on the construction process we went through, we cannot recommend JW Homes to our friends or family.

We love our house and the process of home buying was conducted honestly and professionally . Builder has to be more restricted with the carpentry related to the doors alignment . Our agent Mrs. Julie was very professional , helpful and responsive. Thank you all

There were misrepresentations in the sales process. The home was not properly completed upon closing. Homeowner identified significant issues that were going to be ignored by the builder. The "home walkthrough" never occurred because there were so many outstanding issues with the home. The John Weiland brand use to be a higher quality home but its clear that Pulte has watered it down and instead offers a few "free" upgrades and slaps the JW label on it for a premium. In a high volume area, they clearly take advantage of the market momentum to degrade the offer and experience as they know, there is another customer ready to slot in. The higher home price tag that JW comes with does not align to the features or experience one would expect. If you have options, steer clear of the Pulte branded JW homes. Existing JW homes built prior to ~2012 are most likely to reflect that higher degree of craftsmanship - but the JW of today should be avoided if possible. ... More

So far the house has been great, but there are little things that I see now that bug me, especially when I consider the price range we are in. there are a few places you can see the walls are no straight, paint splatter on cabinets, windows seem cheap. NONE of the bathrooms had any towel racks or hooks, I had to buy and install myself, to me that is not a finished bathroom.

Communications with Construction Manager (Matt C.) and Warranty Manager (Meagan) were excellent! Love the John Wieland designs. Overall quality of materials and construction were average to good. Happy with Pulte decision to upgrade our structural design for greater strength with wind loads. Sales process was good with the exception of miscommunication on the pool requirements and failure of Pulte to honor original commitment to a third floor loft on the Chesapeake design. Pulte mortgage is disconnected and non responsive and not worth the effort. Overall, we love our final product, location and views of the Wando! All concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. Worked with us in closing date when we needed to shift with no issues. Have been great after the close.

Dependable, quality builders and good customer service.

This was our second time buying. Second time experience not a good as the first time which prompted us to come back. We were not informed of a few structural changes which impacted placement in the finished home. We are on our third roof which was an uphill battle altogether. For a two million dollar home one would expect two a/c zones on the main floor, but no, there is only one! There were plenty of minor issues and problems that we did not encounter during the first home build in 2020. There seemed overall less flexibility to correct mistakes, do trade offs and get issues resolved. In many cases it took many emails to get a problem fixed. I am happy with my decision to buy a house on waterfront property. Resell value is definitely there but my experience with John Weiland/Pulte has not been a pleasant experience. Beginning with sales team (weird experience) to design and all the way down to the workmanship has all been sub par. I was very surprised since I always thought Weiland homes were some of the best years ago. It really has changed. Absolutely not what I expected.
