Pros: The sales process and communication was fine - easy to work through. The dedicated construction manager was great. Cons: like other home builders they are price gauging- way overpriced. Upgrades are overpriced and not worth it. Attention to detail is not good. Quality of craftsmanship is terrible. It’s fine as a starter home, but very far from what they market as a luxury home builder. They don’t include a refrigerator. Overall I would rate them as bush league starter home level quality.

So far the house has been great, but there are little things that I see now that bug me, especially when I consider the price range we are in. there are a few places you can see the walls are no straight, paint splatter on cabinets, windows seem cheap. NONE of the bathrooms had any towel racks or hooks, I had to buy and install myself, to me that is not a finished bathroom.

My new home is lovely, the architecture craftsmanship selections were to my liking! The sales office set an honest expectation for upgrades for the most part. I was disappointed with the design center, as this was a design center I had visited for a home $300k less (about 5 years ago) for another community. The design center was very dark and difficult to view selections. I had wish I had taken pictures from the model to bring, because the rep didn’t really have a clue. I understand she had a lot of neighborhoods to keep up with! But I was playing a guessing game the majority of the time. ...

My home is as expected, some of the workmanship details (edges, door frames) seem rushed, poorly measured and missing touch up paint. But on the whole, the house is great, the building manager is very responsive to fix a few things even after I closed. Wish the sales team had highlighted more the very short window for registering my HVAC. 30 days is very tight considering people are moving during that time.

Although the team has been very responsive in addressing repairs, I expected the craftsmanship quality to be a lot better. The house was delivered with significant wear and tear on trims and baseboards, something that is not easily fixed. The paint job is sloppy and there are markings throughout the flooring along trims. The kind of damage that home owners try to carefully avoid when moving in with furniture, unfortunately is already built in by the staff. I’m spending a lot of time trying to fix or hide those defects myself just to get a clean look on a very expensive property.

Great salesperson. Poor project manager response on issues found during pre purchase inspection. Decent quality but some rather shabby workmanship by some of the trades (painting, landscaping, plumbing). Hopefully the exterior quality of the structures lasts. We have purchased other new homes over the years and would give this an overall score of 3 out of 5 stars.

even though marketed as JW homes for high end luxury segment, the build quality is same as pulte and what you would expect with any other builder. The quality is substandard with materials used and care taken during construction

Simply stated, Pulte is not John Weiland as the building principles, process and focus on customers/resolutions is considerably different … I’m able to say this as we’ve had homes from both builders … If given the opportunity to buy again this would not have been our choice although respect the individuals we deal with … Great People just not happy with Pulte …

I had a wonderful experience when purchasing my home. Since closing, I have had multiple issues and the responses I’ve received have been poor at best. I’ve had to have the hot water heater fixed, the refrigerator replaced, 3 1/2 hours of work on July 4th done on the air conditioning unit, and the carpet in both the loft and one of my upstairs bedrooms is now coming a part “both areas are completely unused at the point”. Poor quality - stairway baseboard damage throughout, sloppy paint throughout, stairway railing damage through drywall, drywall dust ingrained into hardwood floors, black burn spots in bathroom mirror, misaligned vent hood, uneven range door, red spot stains on stair treads, glue paste on tile floors (had to pay third party to clean), backsplash tile is curved at bottom (not cut flush). Some of the issues have been addressed however the stairway molding and stringers are unbelievably bad. Pulte made a lot of promises that they had improved their building construction but they didn't deliver? There's a lack of craftsmanship and use of contractors that aren't held to a high enough standard.
