I have purchased many new homes over many years from numerous regional and national home builders. Although no new home builder is perfect, this company is superior to other builders.

Have reported several issues more than once that have not been resolved

Love the house and Kevin has been amazing. We took over the house contract when it was 95% done but are super happy. Only issue is our yard which looks horrible in the back. We paid for a premium lot and have a stream that goes through our yard.

After moving in, we quickly found the following - AC on main level did not work and took 3 weeks and 3 service calls to get fixed, several large boulders preventing sod growth, door swings incorrectly into walk in-closet prohibiting use, 3 tries at repairing roof leak, multiple cracks in drywall seams...

We purchased an inventory home, so we didn’t get to experience the entire process. However, our experience with the team has been great. They’re not just selling a product, they’re selling a home.

Since Pulte took over the JW brand, the build quality has gone down hill.

Steve and Justin provided excellent service. I gave 4 stars in the trustworthiness category, because of a hick-up with the boundary lines. This issue was worked out, but the communication for the corporate office could have been better. Although the easement which was not originally disclosed and the additional easements needed before closing were recorded. We never received the signed and sealed plat map we requested and were told would be recorded. This hick-up was not on Justin or Steve.

We are incredibly happy with our new home! The quality is excellent, the house is beautiful and functional. We are enjoying every day. The location is fantastic...convenient to so much!

Very smooth process to get me into a home that I have trust is built well. Love my new home!

Experienced a good surprise before closing. Builder re-sodded and improved drainage without being asked.. Not totally happy with fit and finish as upstairs floors are noticeably not level in one bath and trim on stairs is uneven. A couple of treads squeak. The third garage bay is only 16 ft long and neither of our cars will fit in it. But overall pleased with buying experience, the new home and the plan for our small development.

Would not recommend

As a retired Realtor of 24 years, I look for quality in the homes I buy. John Wieland builds an exceptional product and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home.

I am familiar with construction and the many issues that can complicate the process. That said, the number of issues that arose through the process were minimal. All were addressed in a very reasonable timeframe and to my complete satisfaction. I couldn't have imagined a better overall experience.

I have now resided in the home for 3 weeks and a lot of little occurrences have appeared. Leaks, cracks, drainage issue, an electrical outlet doesn't work, a light fixture stopped working, a minor gas leak, and some dings on the shower panel. However, outside all of that the house is nice.

We had a great experience with all of the team members at John Weiland Homes. They treated us so well and we love our new home!

The finishing touches are awful and we are finding several issues related to cracks in the walls. the doors, door frames, toilets are falling apart. I would not recommend J.W homes

Good quality, receptive, and great value

This was the first time we had a new home built for us. We could not be happier with the attention to detail, quality and excellent service we received throughout the entire home building process. Thank you to everyone involved for providing such wonderful experience.

This is our 8th homs purchase (5th new construction) and hands down it was the worst. Our experience consisted of broken commitments, poor responsiveness and build quality. I will not recommend this builder to anyone.

Great community environment to retire. Knowledgeable staff that helped us gain a delightful home buying experience. Construction has been on target with great opportunities for improvement in the quality of construction and materials used. For the value of the property and the house, some of the materials and fixtures should have been of higher quality. Minor issues with paint chips, lighting fixtures, faucet and ceiling fans start to show soon after we moved in.

Roof Leaked within the first week of ownership and bunch of places where there is no finesse. Altogether, JW needs to up their game in workmanship.

I love my new home. The finishes and quality is very high. Wieland was easy to work with and were always responsive to my needs during the buying process.

Selecting the neighborhood was easy, all that followed was orchestrated like a well-oiled machine! Our Sales Coordinator was amazing! She clearly explained the process and kept us updated with any changes as the build progressed. We encountered very few setbacks and remained very close to the initial timeline.

For the cost of the home, i do not feel like the build quality has met my expectations, nor has builder responsiveness.
