We found working with the Pulte team a very nice, enjoyable experience. Wesley was so responsive and always followed up to make sure anything that needed to be corrected was done. I also found Paige to be very responsive and eager to make sure things were going well for repair.

Professional, efficient. Responsive, and competent in our dealings. Matt and McKenzie were a pleasure to work with.

We love our new home. It has had some of the same issues you find in buying a new home, but none of them major and always handled quickly and professionally by Jordan Keels, our site manager. This is the second home we have purchased in the area, and this home is far and above the quality of the last home by another builder. I highly recommend this team.

All in all the experience was very good. As in every construction process there are bumps in the road and there are disconnects between the sales group, the materials purchasing group and the final product. The overall physical structure was built very well, however, it is very important that you bring an external third party inspector to all of your inspections. The speed at which these homes are built, it is inevitable for things to be overlooked or missed and as the new homeowner, your excitement overrides your ability to see everything even if you are in the business. The most important is the pre-closing walk through as you must identify every little scratch and error as once you close, it is difficult to show that this happened prior or post moving in. JW Homes is incredibly good about standing by their product and the "punch list" and does everything they can to correct issues after close. Your project manager is in a tough spot, as he/she is the go between you the customer and JW Homes. Our PM (Harrison/Justin) we had two, were amazing and did they best they could within their power to achieve what was needed. The disconnect is between sales and construction. We chose to use the lighting fixtures that were included and at the design center the words - the lighting will be as it is in the model - were used. This actually means the locations of the fixtures will be the way the are in the model, not the actual fixtures as what we got was builder grade, ok, but our expectations were different. We opted to upgrade our cabinets and include the convenience package. The convenience package however did not include the upgraded soft close rails, although the cabinets themselves did. Again, simple communication and its the attention to detail and not the assumptions that will make your process great. Absolutely critical is the positioning of lights in the ceiling for as what you would take as all lined up and what the builder does are different. Again, this is something we did not recognize during the framing inspection. All in all, it was a good process, the quality of the material is very good, the quality of the workmanship could have been a quite a bit better, however, it is a difficult labor market. The best for last, we were supposed to close on Jan 4, 2023 and had the wonderful surprise to be able to move in on Nov 23, 2022. JW Homes is very smart to give a realistic closing date and then based on material be able to be faster. We would definitely use JW Homes for another home in the future. ... More

Had some bumps in the road, but in the end, all was addressed. Great communication through the process. Love our new home.

I will know better at the 1 year mark. Fixes are still in progress.

Beautiful layout.. Wish we had been able to discuss an elevator prior to completion

Love the overall design and layout of the model. Frequent changes to personnel was a problem even when the personnel were good.

Have reported several issues more than once that have not been resolved

Communications with Construction Manager (Matt C.) and Warranty Manager (Meagan) were excellent! Love the John Wieland designs. Overall quality of materials and construction were average to good. Happy with Pulte decision to upgrade our structural design for greater strength with wind loads. Sales process was good with the exception of miscommunication on the pool requirements and failure of Pulte to honor original commitment to a third floor loft on the Chesapeake design. Pulte mortgage is disconnected and non responsive and not worth the effort. Overall, we love our final product, location and views of the Wando! house was not complete and fully ready at closing forced to close so builder could make has quota

Home is very nice, not all minor defects addressed in timely fashion.

New construction looks great but after a month. we are starting to discover issues with construction on the small stuff to date they have responded but as we are doing work we have noticed issues with blinds installed 40% are not straight or broken also in checking the windows 2 have broken locks and will need to be reset or replaced. Will add to the list of items to be repaired

Love the house and Kevin has been amazing. We took over the house contract when it was 95% done but are super happy. Only issue is our yard which looks horrible in the back. We paid for a premium lot and have a stream that goes through our yard.

I am happy with my decision to buy a house on waterfront property. Resell value is definitely there but my experience with John Weiland/Pulte has not been a pleasant experience. Beginning with sales team (weird experience) to design and all the way down to the workmanship has all been sub par. I was very surprised since I always thought Weiland homes were some of the best years ago. It really has changed. Absolutely not what I expected.

The house is well built and sound. Attention to detail is mediocre.

We like JW home architecture design style. We want to recommend JW home to friends. However, we don’t feel comfortable with things that can be avoided. We understand material shortage, labors and etc. that is cause of delay. Builder shouldn’t have taken off two installed windows from our home for another home to our closing date. The interior work was rushed completely in final months, because the field manages said when window were installed, closing date should be set up. The builder quality celebration and closing date were set up the same date. After that there are many new issues we find later. They could have done better

Not the best buying experience frankly. Felt as if the sales and construction team weren’t in sync and a major issue wasn’t handled properly. Do not recommend and have steered several local friends away.

Problems aside from Covid and material supply problems, our eight-month construction process was filled with delays, failures to pass inspections, allocation of needed windows to other nearby homes and inadequate followup on problems at closing and overall poor communication marred our construction experience with our beautiful home.

We need our issues addressed after closing. Too many small issues with no responses.

Poor quality of work. No management of the sub contractors

extremely disappointed in our house for the amount of money spent. every day a new issue comes up and the warranty process is a joke. These houses are thrown together as quickly as possible. don't walk away RUN away from JW Homes/ Pulte.
