Just make sure the get down what they promise before closing

The home is overpriced for the materials used. This is a track homes priced as custom with a pretty bow on it. The trades are poor at best. The cabinets have popping fronts, every sink in this house has leaked or is leaking, the floors are uneven requiring a shim to level my refrigerator, there is and has been a moisture smell in the guest bedroom from the day I moved in, still not found, The lock plates have been over chiseled at the front door, looks bad. The back porch columns, I have not been able to find a stud, they appear hollow, or at a minimum not framed to code. The windows actual grown and my blinds move with wind. They were really friendly, even after moving in I still have a relationship with them, they answer all of my questions, either through call, text, email or even if I just popped into the office.

Quality home with a good team to get it built and this sales team were extremely supportive to the buyer on tough times and rising interest rates.

The whole crew, from sales to building, were great! Quick responses and step by step updates. This was our first time buying a new build and we couldn't be happier with choosing Khov!! Thanks guys!

Onsite.crew were great. Anthony, Carl and Sabrina helped with anything they could to help make the process go smooth. I can’t say that about the home office. Much confusion on the closing date with some people not giving me true stories. Didn’t get closing numbers till the day before and they were wrong and had to be corrected. Seemed like the office didn’t communicate very well the the field and me.

Everyone has been great and very responsive. Home looks great, only complaint is there is grout that still needs to be cleaned around one of my bathrooms

The buying experience had mostly 5 star components along with a couple sub-par elements. Erika and Amy from Sales have been very helpful, even after the sale they continue to provide support. Tyson and Scott in Construction have been responsive and Alyssa in Customer Support is my best resource for getting issues resolved. Overall quality is typical for spec home ("fast") builders, highlighted by the design and energy efficiency features and degraded by corporate decisions that may make sense from KHOV's financial perspective but can leave lasting issues with the homeowner. Every builder is, of course, at the mercy of the local trades; but what sets builders apart is how they fix and take care of issues with the build. KHOV does this. They take care of the issues/make sure they get taken care of, and are responsive and agreeable with regard to fixing the inevitable issues that arise from the local trades. Overall, a great home and a great builder.

Brandon was always extremely helpful and willing to answer all of my questions. He is friendly, knowledgeable and always approachable which I've appreciated. You guys need 1,000 Brandons! Unlike Dustin, my main contact who always made me feel like I was bothering him. To no surprise, he left the company and went into some sort of Construction endeavor if I remember correctly which is probably better suited for him. He should NOT be in any sort of Customer Service position. Don't get me wrong, he addressed things because I pushed for them but I could tell by our interactions that he was overwhelmed, over worked and pretty much hated his job. Yvonne replaced Dustin and I haven't had to interact with her other than to respond to an email from her on an open ticket after Dustin left. ... More

The whole process was a bit hiccuping with Change of staff. But the orientation, home maintenance and appliance review for extended warranty was very detailed and thorough. I appreciate follow up calls to remind me of ownership responsibilities and privilege.

It was a smooth process buying a home, sales agent was very helpful and professional

Unfortunately, I wasn't the original buyer so I didn't get to pick out any of my home's features. Even though only the frame work was up and nothing else, I couldn't add or subtract anything. I paid a higher price than the original buyers without any of the "perks". Thank goodness I liked what had been picked out as far as the coloring of the flooring, paint and exterior. However, it would have been nice to at least add some features like toilet paper holders or exterior lights over the garage. Communication was great. Any issues that came up, they corrected right away.

The sales team and wrap up team were great. The financing experiment was brutal.

This experience is a journey, but one well worth it! If home percentage rates were locked in at the time of the deposit and not at the time of closing, it would be perfect! However, I’m still happy with the process… the entire KHOV team did a wonderful job! Thank you!

We bought a model home so we knew we were going to do some renovations and knew the stuff we were replacing was cheaper quality. Overall, we really love our home and are happy with it. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall score would be 4.75 stars.

The sales office was great. The building work met my expectations. The in house loan process was not the greatest and the representative (Nicole) made me feel that my time and business was not important. Most of the time she kept requesting things after hours and delayed response asking for additional items that I had to leave the house to retrieve during this COVID pandemic. Never apologized and simply not a way to do business and lack of empathy.

Our home is beautiful but there has been a lack of quality re-work on concern areas.

The loan processing was extraordinary.. But the final walkthrough of the house before closing was not upto the mark... all the issue pointed put during first walk through were not corrected and what was found was the blue tape was just removed and when finally asked they suggested we raise. Maintenance request to complete the issues.. which was not expected..construction supervisor need to take care of these issues for these issues for a better experience to new home owners

We were in the market for a home. We considered resales and new builds. The rate buy down offers from new home builders were enticing but the troubles and poor quality we read about online for other builders had us on the fence of purchasing a new build. Still we decided to evaluate new builds because interest rates were high and new builds had concessions. We narrowed our search to 2 higher end new home builders. And then came across Khov as the 3rd and liked their floor plans, included features , and location. We bought a quick move in home. Overall, the house was built to spec. The build quality is on par with the other 2 builders we considered with some being better at Khov . The sales, closing, post sales warranty teams worked collaboratively with us. The post sale warranty issues have been resolved quickly. Fortunately all were cosmetic in nature. We’ve only been in the house for a few months, are happy with our purchase. Khov builds a better than average builder quality home and their team cares about making the home purchase experience pleasant for buyers. ... More

Sedona model is best one to have more living space and great bedrooms

I loved the follow up process from Ben, as each week went by. Some issues I discovered after closing. The whole house was painted with flat paint, I think it’s dumb. Second major issue, master bathroom light fixtures are all on one switch. That’s just not smart at all.

The house was move in ready but there was a lot discrepancies that needed to be addressed. I felt unprepared when I moved in. It’s an information overload but also there is information that is never given. I was given answered to my questions in the moment only to find out they were wrong answers and made me feel lied to. The warranty person has been great. When I do have tickets they are handled immediately or I get a call immediately that it will be handled. I wish the builders took more care before we moved in so I didn’t have strangers in my house for warranty. It’s a huge stressor to me to find someone who can be here for it, or take time off to be home fortunately our warranty agent usually plans it all for the same day. Is it possible that if the builders took more caution it would have been done prior too. Some information I asked for the builders refused to give me. Information on what my electrical is rated and where the wires are were denied to me which is crazy because as I improve my house I don’t know what or where my electrical is. They also aren’t sure what the inside paint colors are for doors and baseboards. I would of liked all this in my email or printed information. The warranty agent has been very helpful, but I wish the builders either had more time, been more aware of the trades and their workmanship so I wouldn’t have to call warranty always.
