WORK ETHIC. RESPONSIVE. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. GENUINELY FRIENDLY. QUALITY. VALUE. Everything was and continues to be above my expectations. My house was completed - from dirt to move in - during a building material shortage - in 20 weeks! The entire K.Hov team pays attention to every detail. During the building process, the agents were always available and at the ready to answer any question; nothing was ever too much trouble. I was moving to Bakersfield from the Bay Area and they were very accommodating in allowing me to do things along the way on the phone, by doc u sign, text and email. When I had my walk through, I learned about amazing features of this home that I wasn’t aware of and it was a pleasant surprise. In addition to all the warranties, K.Hov also has a portal for residents where you can find out every single detail of your home; colors, manufacturer, etc, numbers for all utilities and local information; documents; and allows you to submit service requests. This same portal sends you monthly maintenance reminders too! This builder goes above and beyond long after you receive your keys! I have submitted service requests and the issue was resolved within 2 days, and most of the time, the same day. The entire K.Hovnanian team makes you feel like family. Jazmine was very helpful, although it’s not the same as having your own realtor that can be there 24/7. Overall I’m pleased with the experience. HOA not so much but I knew they had HOA so it’s on me.

In a difficult housing market in Bakersfield, they were able to work with us to meet our time frame of purchasing a new home and transitioning from renters to owners in a short time.

Good experience overall. One comment is that I would not rush the process and take your time. Even more than usual.

The material used for this home is very cheap. Also, you cannot upgrade anything with this builder. There are so many things that are missing in the home. I would never buy a house from this builder.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase. There were a few bumps and hick-ups when using my own mortgage lender as opposed to the one provided. Aside from that, I’m happy here. Thank you.

There's been things I've been finding around the house that I didn't catch in the walk through. The foundation feels uneven in parts of the house, and the vinyl planks are popping up. Also, I can see the joints on several parts of the walls throughout the house. It seems like they didn't use any dry wall tape. I don't know, I'm a bit upset because I waited all this time for the house to be built, and the quality is disappointing

First I want to say, I love my new home. I feel so blessed and grateful for what we have.. I will try to make a long story short..The story i tell everyone is.. At first new construction wasn't an option of ours.. But when we seen Lantana community and the price was perfect!! The Space we needed and in our budget perfect! finally after couple years of looking, and getting out bided ect.. we are ready, we go in and tell the sales manager we want to move forward and we picked the lot ect.. we tell her next week I can go put the deposit down.. She tell us " She won't be in,and to come the following weekend "!!.. So that time comes around, she tells my realtor that the price when up 15k!! And that since I didn't have a deposit in a day before, I was not locked into the price that was 24 hrs before 15k higher!!.. It CRUSHED ME, my stomach turned, I was mad, disappointed, and was ready to walk out!.. Mind you I was ready to put the deposit down 7 days before, and I was told to come a week later!.. After look at my wife and kids, I couldn't back out and have their Happiness taken away too.. So if your a reviewer like me make sure to put the deposit down asap!.. And my Garage does not have a door to the outside!! Right, but the MODEL HOME DOES!!!!SMH.. ... More

Not satisfied with the quality of the work done at the new house

I purchased this house due to the great pricing they had to only see issues with the quality of the house after. After residing in the house, the garage cement already started to wear off. It is already chipping. There are appliances that are already having issues. There’s no clean up done before closing the housing completely. The seller agent Nancy only cares about money and selling the house. There’s no satisfaction for the customer. The lender is miles away who works from another state, and it was so difficult to talk to her even during business hours. Home buying process was horrible.
